Well just lost my bad ass ranks today kind of a bummer. Hope it gets fixed, but I guess I will just have to build it up again. I have not checked my skins so I am not sure if they have disappeared too or not.

Terramorphous keeps annihilating me solo. Level 50 with a level 46 bee and a level 30 or so CC and I can't even get him below 50% health.

::edit::
Finally beat him using some strategery, and he didn't drop a class mod.

Which class?

Also, the mechanics of CC's special ability isn't obvious. On impact, two more sets of projectiles split off at 90 degree angles. Best used at point blank (but not standing so close to Terra that he knocks you up in the air when he tunnels up), and shooting squarely into his mouth from the front or back so that the deflecting projectiles strike the inside of his mouth.

Shooting at the side of his head where his eyes are is not the optimal way to use CC, and that method doesn't kill him much faster than using a regular shotgun (like Moxxi's Heartbreaker) with Bee.

Got a friend to join me and we killed him just 3 or 4 times. I got both the Breath and the Blood as well as 3 different class mods.

^Accept the mission when you're level 50 to get the best results.

Which Legendary weapons are best in the game other than CC and Bee. I'm concerned that I would waste my time to farm those two because Bee will get patch'd which would nerf CC too. From what I read is that Bee buffed CC right?
My favourites include:
- Maggie
- Badaboom
- The Sham
- Impaler
- Quasar
- Storm Front

There has been mention of The Bee getting patched but it hasn't been done yet so it's still worth getting. I personally don't care for the conference call unless I am using The Bee.

Some of the legendary weapons I have that I like are:

Baby Maker(Very good for Hyperius)
Infinity(Hyperius)
Fire Bee
Blood of Terramorphous(Blood of the Seraphs is a better variant once you take the time to farm Seraph Crystals)
Neogenator(Better version with the Seraph Crystals as well)
Hellfire
Bunny
Maggie
Legendary Class Mod

Anyone on PSN have a Legendary Mechromancer mod they're interested in trading? I figured that I probably won't ever see Vermivorous given how much time I can actually throw into the game for farming, and even if I did I doubt he'd drop it given my luck. I've got a Seraph pistol and sniper, as well as a Baby Maker and Slayer mods for everyone except the Siren. Not much. :I

So after playing two other games I had to grab the update for borderlands 2 again, got hit with the reset bug and nearly lost my level 50, but my badass is reset.

Really nasty bug, why is this current update still live? for fecks sake bugs like this in games with a lot of leveling should be higher up microsofts fucked up list.

Really put me off playing the game more now and thankfully I don't own any dlc yet.

So I ended up taking the fleshstick quest during playthrough 2, which makes it a level 40 quest. Does anyone know if the quest will scale up in playthrough 2.5 since you end up accepting the quest again after each failure? I'd really prefer to not have to level another character all the way to PT2.5 if I could just finish this playthrough with an existing character.

Used my first golden key (out of 10) last night right after I hit level 47. Ended up getting this amazing gun. Perfect for my Mechro Anarchy build:

Anyone up for some Coop. Im on the PS3 version and need help with the "You.Will.Die (Seriously)" SideQuest and yes Im dying a lot. Add me if so, PSN ID same as here

Aaaaaaaaaargh Terramorphous' Gunzerker head dropped for me and a friend earlier but it was glitched and neither of us could pick it up, even after walking all the way out of the zone and back in. I actually couldn't even see it. Sucks.

Did end up getting the Skin and Hide of Terramorphous, though, so I got THAT going for me. Which is nice. All I need is the Pitchfork and the heads.

That's weird, because the exact same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago. It definitely sucks though.

Newbie here

Just started playing, lvl 15 zero sniper. So far the game is very good, however I'm not really feeling it with snipers. Does it get better as I put more skill points into the later skills? I hear the final sniper skill isn't very good either :(. Not sure If I should continue or should I repec down the cunning skill tree instead.

Overall, really loving the game, everything about this game so far seems to be much improved over the first game.

Level 15 isn't very far in the game, as far as skill progression is concerned (I believe that's 1 point away from the "gamechanger"- skill- tier). I'd recommend respeccing around level 17-21 to other trees and try them out, in case the sniper tree fails to entertain you till that point. I've heard from other Zero- players that the Cunning/Bloodshed trees tend to be more entertaining to play around with, so there's some food for thought.

Cunning has so many good skills I think you can spend the vast majority of your points there and be in pretty good shape.

Going through tvhm with my axton and man this thing is no joke. I've made it through with relatively few deaths, but I'm definitely glad I did some inadvertant power leveling back in normql mode. Also the explicit slapper tortue pistol that I have is so fucking boss with metal storm activated. It's a level 36 gun but is still owning face at level 42. I used a golden key and found an amazing e-tech hyperion smg which corrosive properties which will make the next 5 levels a cinch. Also got a great slag shotgun, but It will do double duty with a coach gun I got in the slots that does 2000x10. The thing is a fucking one or two hit kill on every normal mob, plus it is about a four hit kill on super badasses.

Also, I'm thankful I realised this now and nit even later, but double turret Acton with a high clip slag smg is making my Dick weep tears of joy. I have to put more points into gunpowder because the skills are just way too good to ignore, and I don't feel like my turrets are doing me a disservice (especially due to my 25% off cooldown relic and class mods) but if I had to throw them out slower I definitely wouldnt mind some more points in turret based skills.

Is there a "best" spinigun out there? Like a legendary or something? I like using those for whatever reason (an explosive one got me through a lot of normal difficulty) but honestly the enjoyment just doesn't keep up with the lack of usefulness late in the game from the ones I've seen/tried.

I think he's referring to the gun passively spinning while not firing.

But the gun doesn't passively spin while not firing. In that video the only time it is spinning without firing is right after it was fired because it was spinning down to a stop.

It...never occurred to me.

It's a Jakobs! "Fires as fast as you can pull the trigger"!
Several manufacturers have rifles with spinigun- barrels, some of them fire in a different manner. Jakobs spiniguns fire in their usual semi-automatic fashion, while Vladof- spiniguns (like the one displayed in the video) fire in a traditional full-auto.

I suppose you're correct. The spin-down time does feel a bit elongated compared to other spiniguns I've used, but then again I don't use those weapons very often, so it was an easy mistake to make on my part.

Found some vids displaying very interesting builds, worth taking a look at imo.

Vid 1

Vid 2

Might level my Mechro due to the first vid. It essentially turns her into an AoE- damage tank, healing up all the damage due to Rubi + Firehawk interaction and instantly regaining shields due to Blood Soaked Shield.

Quick question:

What does the yellow multiply number on the damage stat for guns mean? I assume it's a buff, but where does it come from/what affects it?

It's a multiplier for the amount of bullets the gun fires in a single shot.

For example, this shotgun shoots 16 bullets (bucks/pellets/gyrojets?) with one shot.

Right. So I assume that the damage stat is multiplied by however many bullets hit the target? So if I hit an enemy with every bullet with a 4x3 shotgun, I'd do 12 damage?

So killed the warrior with my Mechromancer yesterday when I realized I could just stand there letting Deathtrap kill Rakks forever. So he is, and has been doing so for about 12 hours now. Well I think he is since I turned the monitor off and went to bed. Will be fun to see when I get home from work how many he has killed. Guess I will have gained a few levels as well but pretty soon the exp reward should drop to about 1 exp per kill.

How long does it usually take you guys to kill the Warrior, Terramorphous, etc.?

I finished TVHM the other day, and at level 50 I might have spent easily 20 minutes to kill the Warrior.
I can't see myself farming him many times. :/

On the other hand, Hunter Hellquist barely takes a few seconds.

Haven't tried Terramorphous yet.

Get the Bee + Conference Call and you'll be able to take Terramorphous down in seconds.

That's what I read, but still haven't gotten the Bee (I might have killed HH just 5 around times), and neither have I gotten the CC (but spending 20 minutes to kill the Warrior each time seems like too much to just farm an item).

The Bee can take a while to get, after you get that, I recommend going for a Maggie and you can still farm the Warrior very quick with Bee + Maggie. The CC drop rate seems to be shit, I have 4 Maggie's so far without really farming that much.

I am still crossing my fingers with getting CC via the treasure room cause Warrior seems to drop shit loot. I have got 4 legendaries so far from the treasure room and I just learned the trick the other day. I even taught my friend how to do it in two minutes after I picked out precise references points earlier in the day. More players should = better treasure room loot.

Is there a simple rundown somewhere for that trick? I have seen some references and such to it, but I am curious if there is a simple "how to" out there.

I think I might record a tutorial. I feel like all of the videos show the end result but don't really mention line of site references for how to get the main part of the glitch, the vertical jumping part, or "the elevator" as I like to call it, down consistently. Most youtube videos just say jump back and forth up and down over and over, but I wanted to make my method more precise and I believe I found a great reference point and reproducible technique yesterday. I have even got the "elevator" in a single jump a few times. There is a pattern in the rocks below that I call "The Beak" that looks like a sideways bird beak that you can line up with your crosshairs to get to a good point for the jumps. I will post screen shots later tonight if I can't do a quick FRAPS tutorial. It isn't that hard.

Is the DLC required to get to this treasure room?
Yes. It is a treasure room at the end of the story arch of the first DLC.

When it comes to farming for either Maggie or slaggas smg in pt 2.5, is there a way to be able to kill both families? Or is it just that you pick one to kill and whoever you do kill is the weapon you farm for. The Maggie looks good but I think I might be partial to the Slagga smg...
