Yes, nerdrage and threaten to pirate it, when it's already been explained that you can get it traded to you by an American Steam user...

im not saying i will pirate it i am saying that this is fucking ridiculous to the extreme.

Warner Brothers have no reason to cry at all when Euros pirate it because its their own fault.

Yes it can be gifted, sure, which makes this even more ridiculous.

I heard Steam is already banning content like "Pikachu" and "Triforce". Knew it would happen eventually but damn that was fast.

During a Reddit AMA, the guys behind Scribblenauts unhelpfully stated that they "haven't forgotten about Europe" and to "stay tuned", which is about the most we ever get really.

So if people pirate this game outside the US its warner brothers own fucking fault and they have no fucking reason to have a tear over it at all

I'm pretty sure piracy is wrong, no matter where you live. Though whatever you choose to do is not my concern, so go ahead if you want to.

Don't do it.

You know...the developer is posting in this very thread. It might help if some of you guys tone it down a little and not develop an aneurysm.

im not blaming the dev, i am blaming the obviously useless suits @ warner brothers who think this is a good idea.

i feel sorry for the dev because they are going to be harmed by this significantly.

God damn I was hoping for this to be launch here in Europe for the Wii U. Pretty sure I wont bother with it next year with all the other games coming out on 360/PS3.

Next to Trauma Center Wii, this is one of the best console launch titles I've played (at launch) like ever. Kinda too bad, this announcement will cripple Wii U sales.

I'm interested in buying this, but to those who have played it, what separates Unlimited on PC from the past Scribblenauts game? Why spend $30 on this when I've barely touched the iOS version I got for two bucks?

- Each level is now one big area where you can perform many things to earn Starites. There are multiple starites per level.
- Object editor and sharing
- There's a story in this one

This PC version is buttery smooth on my laptop, which isn't anything special

Intel i5-3210M (4 cores @ 2.5)
4g of RAM
Intel HD 4000

After typing words with a keyboard I don't think I can ever go back to a touch pad.

No gamepad support that I can see, but I have one of those PC gamepads that I can map keys too.

Seriously, this is a fantastic introduction so far and is leaps and bounds better than either DS title. Well done, 5TH Cell! Really knocked this one out of the park.

Also, I'm willing to bet I'm one of many people who solved the "build us a new fountain!" via this method...

PC version is the one to get. No contest.

Impressions so far...

  • Controls like a dream, in that you never think about them. Maxwell moves precisely. No flailing. Shortcuts for everything - Enter for the Notebook (genius), B for the back pack, etc. You can also use the mouse like its a stylus.

  • Typing words is such a god damned improvement - it's unreal. I hate touchscreen keyboards in general, and I found that in the past 2 games I'd limit my vocabulary to words that were short or easy to write. I also didn't use adjectives as much if they weren't required. That's all changed

  • Everything is so god damned crisp and smooth. The animation is top notch. The models are gorgeous. Lots of color, lots of style.

  • A lot more interactions. Buildings can be climbed, lights turned on or off. Lots of little touches to make 'worthless' objects at least worth playing around with

  • I love the starite structure overall. Seems to be 2-3 "beefy" puzzle levels per world, which are like the longer puzzle levels of the previous games. Then there are a ton of "side quest" type of puzzles that are small and unobtrusive. Actually one of my favorite parts about those quests is that they tend to change the world 'permanently' in some meaningful way - I cleaned up some graffiti and a park appeared in its place, and persisted there until I reset the level

However, there's a 3rd way to get starites then I only just found out - you can get shards from just playing around with objects. Kind of like achievements, I guess, or challenges. Each one gives you a hint to unlock it - one involves milking a cow, another you get from tranquilizing someone (that was my first one!) There are over 200 such challenges.

  • It's funny! Legitimately funny. A farmer brings a guinea pig to a pig contest. A reformed arsonist rebuilds a structure he burnt down, and if you inspect it you'll see it now has a "fireproof" adjective. Yes, you can give the sleep deprived fireman some earplugs to help him drown out the snoring, but you can also force a "mute potion" down the throat of the sleeping fireman to solve the puzzle as well

Tons of little touches like that. Memes and reference aplenty, but there's also a lot of genuine charm. I keep getting reminded of the type of humor you'd find in a "family" movie that is aimed at the adults

In short, you know that game everyone made up in their heads during E3 2009 after seeing the original in action? The one that caused the hype train and inevitable backlash? This is that game.

Hey, if anyone needs helping buying this because it's not out in their region and they don't want to wait and they wouldn't mind paypaling me the money first (my bank account and paypal aren't linked) I would gladly help you out.

Just PM me or add me on Steam.

I know I'm just a junior member but prominent people from the Steam thread like Nabs, Xelios, SalsaShark and wilflare know me and I really just want to help people get this great game (from what I've heard, I've unfortunately been working so much I haven't had time to try it yet, but the reviews are good.)

PC only steam, or mac too? Have the mac connected to the TV so would be ideal

Annoyed by the lack of European availability, but that makes my 'scribblenauts or zombiU' decision easier.

Just curious why only delayed in Europe? New scribblenauts TV series launching exclusively in Europe and you are tying the release to it? WiiU bundle for Easter? Hmm..
