Wonder if we'll be able to get away with another thread, seeing as they're stomping on mega-threads. We weren't even supposed to have this one...

With ancient, technologically barren games like Persona 4 not even managing to get native resolution, PSO2 is pretty much what I'd expect from anyone that isn't Sumo.

Poor Japan. They still haven't recovered from the move away from 640x480.

Well, not like they can do much about people liking to post in a particular thread, can they?
In the end we'd all meet in the Sony Technical Appliances |OT| if needed.

I think the rule is more to regulate the new news/new thread rule, instead of burying every news within a megathread. As long as that rule is being adhered to, I dont think anyone minds this thread too much.

Well it's up to the mods.

I know system mega threads are no no, but in Community (both gaming and off topic ) there are threads for almost everything,and I think seeing how each and every Vita related thread turn and got derailed fast in GAF (pretty sure mods know about this) hopefully they allow a Vita thread to go there.

But seriously, there is clearly a need for this thread. All the small stupid questions people ask about PS+, firmware, smaller game questions that would bump a thread and no one being there to answer it because no one looks at these threads anymore.

This thread fulfills many valid purposes.

Is ridiculous. Seriously. A genre should NEVER be a reason for a minus, that is completely off the rocker. The game should be judged on its own merits, which the genre belongs to as well. Is it a good card game or not? And not "ITS A CARD GAME, NOOOOO". That just comes across as fanboyish trolling.

Gotta admit that I like some of the features and gameplay you mentioned though, cant wait for more reviews.

lol... people expect a Uncharted game.. they get a Card game.. so some people will see this as a minus..

and the editor made a mistake.. it should say "It's an uncharted card game."

PSO2 comes out in a couple months, so I guess the graphics are pretty much finalized. It's basically as the director promised, which was the PC game on "Low" settings.

To anyone who's played the closed beta on Vita: how is the draw distance? That's much more important from a playability perspective than sub-native resolution or N64 level textures.

As long as the framerate's stable and the UI is clean and legible, the game should still be 2013's portable GOTY anyway.

I don't know why they don't have separate sub forums for each company. Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo and PC etc... Weird.

I dunno, it looks better in terms of polygons, but maybe not texture work.

That said, I'm excite (outside of the lack of no offline mode. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU. Just give me PSP1/2 for that purpose). I should decouple my activation and make a japan account but to play only one game on that account seems pointless. I really wish they'd just allow multiple accounts on a card so it'd be like the PS3. :|

I used to play a fair bit of PSO on the Dreamcast, tempted to get it for the Vita. How important is it to have friends playing? As I remember on the Dreamcast it was always with random people for me, but the online aspect of gaming has changed a lot since those days.

"Minus: Its an FPS." because I see it as a minus. Sounds perfectly fine as a bullet point in a review to me.
