Faster OS, especially in regards of Miiverse would be very amazing.

Miiverse and eshop loading speeds are really bad. I still use them (especially Miiverse) but it needs to be fixed. They should load as quickly as the Internet browser does.

Yeah, impossible that they're using any kind of lean system like delta patching. I imagine this will adresss the hard locks, and thats about it.

Maybe they are repeating the problem that the PS3 had for a long time, where it has to redownload the entire thing instead of some sort of patch. Would not surprise me even a little bit.

Where they that big even then? I don't ever remember a 600MB firmware update, but i'm probably wrong.

The estimated time remaining keeps going up. It's climbed over two hours now!

Everyone go away and let me download it first. Stop using up all of Nintendo's bandwidth! D:

The entire thing? As in its redownloading the first patch and this update ontop of it again? That kinda thing?

Perhaps, but wasn't the initial update well over a gigabyte?
Yep, but it included stuff like Miiverse. I dont think that this will need to be downloaded in every firmware update. I'm guessing the 600MB update fixes some app related things as well. I'd be surprised if the core OS/firmware for the WiiU is about 600MB at least.

It'll probably remove support for SD cards and classic Wiimotes, disable the Wii Mode for security purposes, and enable keyboard support for Miiverse (but only while running Nintendo Land or NSMBU).

I hope they'll issue a third update in 20 days. It would give me confidence in Nintendo's scheduling skills.

Wait this automatically starts the download? I went into download management, it says that there's no system updates, but at the top it says status: downloading

For whatever reason this makes me think the NintendoTVii update is coming late December (if even then). If it was coming in 6 days like rumored, wouldn't Nintendo have just combined these updates?

Yeah, mine started auto updating. I was playing Mario and browsing gaf. Saw this thread, went to check, and it's asked about 35% done lol.
