DJMAX Technika tune (Vita) Features music from KARA.

I had to turn off back touch, the controls work best for me with the Vita lying on a flat surface. Will try to get used to holding it eventually. Game is great though, addictive and vibrant.

for buyers outside the US, is there other shops selling it?? the official online shop shipping is too expensive..

OH GOD THIS GAME IS GOOD.

Seriously, I just put in a three-hour session even though I planned on playing only one or two songs. Holy crap, this game is amazing. I didn't think it'd beat the old DJMax games for me, but it probably will. Now if only we could get a damn iPad release... it'd be perfect!! But for now, I'm glad it's a Vita exclusive; hopefully it'll sell a few Vitas in America now. :D

Anyway, if you guys want to compare scores with me and stuff, add me on PSN.

Alright... gotta crash. Tomorrow is not going to be a very productive day for me. :p

So how do we compare scores? I've poked around and aside from the overall score ranking in Collection, which doesn't seem to have a friend sorting option, I don't see any other place with full leaderboards? Is there some tricky song-by-song leaderboard or something that I haven't located? That'd be pretty awesome if so.

Also, super bummed that Freestyle doesn't seem to keep track of your score, just combo, as playing a song in freestyle doesn't keep any score or anything in the Collection area when going through my scores. Seems like a really odd omission since that's the only way to pick and choose songs without having to play them in three-song sets.

Still, really enjoying it. Finding it super impossible to play with back touch since I have zero idea on how to hold it effectively. I'm playing on hard and hopped into the first Club set and tried Pretty Girl. On my third attempt I got right towards the end but my fumbling of trying to hold it and hit the back hits finally did me in at that point. I'd rather not turn off the back touch but I might have to until I can figure out a viable way of holding it so that I feel like I have control of both the front and the back.

I'm not really into K-pop in general but man...Kara is catchy stuff. Hope more of their stuff shows up as DLC.

Would like to know this too, bleh. I so badly want this, ;_;

And buying a US copy would rule out DLC, as well. urgh.

Not as of right now. Literally the only option would be if you can get someone within the US to proxy it, which might not even be any cheaper.

It's worth noting they aren't supposed to ship it to regions outside NA since their license doesn't cover them, but they opened up international shipping anyway since people asked for it. They don't do enough business to qualify for the rate discounts the big companies get.

This song is already stuck in my head.

Does the game have the Japanese or Korean version?

In-game sounds like uncomprehensible English to me. Sorry I can't be of much help, I've never actually heard Korean before. But it definetly isn't the Japanese version.

EDIT: compared both Japanese and Korean videos with the one in the game, it's the Korean version.

I'm guessing they'd only use the Japanese version in Japan. They do have the original Korean versions for Korea so I don't see why they wouldn't put that in the game.

Cleared my fIrst club disc set after much blood, sweat and tears. Still have no idea how I should be holding my Vita.

Your friends play you?
Well ok then.

Well, they are twins...

It won´t be a problem to me... (English is not my native language by the way)

Edit: today it got stuck like 3 time when I selected a song...
Just needed to restar the game and it worked.

Has this happened to you guys?

Added some people (ponopon = me)

I need some Wonder Girls DLC.

Friend request sent.

Fucking double notes are killing me. How are you guys doing it? Index+middle or thumb+index?

Index + middle for me mostly. Not really having trouble with double notes, though. I think all I'm having an issue with is getting random "break"s at the end of the green/yellow (colourblind) dragging notes. I'm not sure if I'm dragging too far ahead at the end of them or if I'm moving on to the next note too soon, but a break at the very end is pretty common for me.

I have the hardest time with the slide notes that have the beats in them. They're still probably my favourite thing to do in the game so far, though.

The game is flipping awesome, enjoying it just as much if not more than P3.

I have been getting game freezes on song load screens though with the digital version.
3 already in fact, hope its something that gets patched.

EDIT: I think I've narrowed down the freeze/hangs.
It appears to happen if I'm in a song set, and I sleep the vita before choosing my next song. Once I come back after X amount of time, instead of loading the next song it will just hang on the load screen.

I haven't had any freezes, but I wish loading was handled smoother as a whole. In menus it bogs down the excellent interface, and sometimes after finishing a set everything goes black for a good 10-15s before a tooltip pops up. Never thought I'd be asking for loading animations, but the game could use 'em.

Still haven't started my copy yet, but if this plays like the arcade versions, you can optionally tap out those yellow slides. As in, tap each "dot" just as you would tap normal pink notes.

You can also slide pink tap notes that are in close enough proximity. Again, this is in arcade, not sure yet if TUNE behaves like this. But I'll know soon enough!

My input for the OT! Full song list: (Sorry, I know the formatting kinda sucks)

Black Swan, Electronic Waltz, TAK
SigNalize, Electro Trance, Paul Bazooka
Showdown, Brass Funk, LeeZu

Can anyone with the game check for the presence of the above songs? I've compared 22's list to the one on technikatune.com and these three are the only ones not in the website list.

OT work happening behind the scenes, if you've expressed interest already check your PMs!

I only got a chance to look at this for ten minutes before work. I hope I can do that tutorial again because my feeble eyes were struggling with the text. Song selection is interesting to say the least.

You can re-do the tutorial, no problem.

Found a weird bug in the game today. Freaked out for a while, because reloading didn't help at all.

If you equip avatar with Antibreak 2 (one of the first unlocks, some anime girl) notes will stop making sound when you tap them. Makes most of the tracks almost unplayable.
Once you equip something else, everything is back to normal.

wow this game is a lot of fun. I like it better than the normal falling note style djmax. what's the difference between easy, normal etc. did't look like it's song difficulty because when you play arcade it had it's own difficulty/complexity. playing the pop arcade while still in easy difficulty.

which one is the prefer playstyle? just front touch, or use backtouch as well? I find it's more comfortoble playing with just front screen while leaving my vita on table/bed, but my fat finger kinda get in the way when I'm multi touching the surface

Bring on the DLC plz Pentavision
I need a Clazziquai pack. Really miss the Humming Urban Stereo tracks from earlier DJMax games too.

Got my first Perfect Play, so awesome. The easiest song in Star mixing (Lupin), but feels good to see that S++ on the first track that pops up. Thumbs work pretty well on easier songs, so long as no chords appear. Chords=finger chaos when playing while holding.

So fun but charmingly glitchy is a good way of putting it :). Can you really not take screenshots during gameplay? It doesn't seem to want to let me do that.

Only differences with the difficulty settings are the amount of energy you lose with each note you miss, and the score you get. The harder the setting the less notes you can miss, but the more you can score.
I play 90% of the songs in hard Pop Mixing. I usually tone down the difficulty when playing Star Mixing.

I think the difficulty setting affects the life gauge; higher difficulties will make it drop faster and make it harder to accumulate, etc. The note charts you get should be determined entirely by mixing style and difficulty.

Front screen only is probably the way to go if you want the game to be as close to arcade as possible, but it's only really an option if you're somewhere you can lay the Vita down. Playing front screen only isn't really practical if you're on the go.

So there are no plans to bring the game to Europe :( Since that means no DLC on my UK PSN account, am I better off importing the cheaper Asian version? (I read there's an Englisn language version?)

All versions of the game have full English basically, so anything is fine.

Lol you know I was just kidding.
Just had to say something though.

Thanks, might hold on and see if VGP stock it in the next week or so - don't think I'm in a massive rushOHMYGODIWANTIT

I'm in the same boat - I know waiting for VG+ to stock the US version will work out cheaper, but I've been hovering over the buy button for the HK version for weeks now!

The only reasons you'd buy the US version over any other from outside the US is for cheaper access to theoretical DLC (I imagine it's cheaper to get US PSN credit than JP or Asian PSN credit, and it's flat-out impossible to get a KR PSN account as a non-citizen), or if you specifically wanted to support Pentavision Global in the hopes they can make more localizations happen in the future.

Well, it'll also work out a bit cheaper too.
