Man. It really seems that both sides have their panties in a bunch at this moment. I'm officially creating team I don't give a damn and let them all fight it out.

*holds out hand*

Go team I DON'T GIVE A DAMN AND LET THEM FIGHT IT OUT!!!

*Throws up hand*

*realizes that he's the only one*

OP should just have been this :

You obviously don't care about yourself.

If you guys haven't already, check out the latest Humble Bundle. Some goooood shit in there. Current average price is like $6.30, so if you want Legend of Grimrock and Dungeon Defenders (plus all DLC) you have to pay more than that.

I've got spare Steam codes for The Binding of Isaac + Wrath of the Lamb DLC, Shank 2, and Indie Game: The Movie. Quote this and specify which one you'd like and why I should give it to you. Most creative/bonerific answers I'll PM the codes.

Cheer up, folks.

Sounds like those campaign levels where you just let the multiple sides fight it out. I vaguely remember a Halo 2 mission where the brutes, elites and flood were all at it.

Maybe we just need a modded Halo game with hundreds of participants where we can all go at it until no one is left standing :)

343 could probably whip that up during lunch.

Someone take Binding of Isaac. Shit's good. Paid a buck for it a year ago and sunk over a hundred hours into it. It's like a procedurally generated dungeon with a slightly basic Zelda layout template. Lots of randomness and lots of replayability. Rogue-like-ish but simple enough that you can pick it up and sink time into it whenever.

Ya - I already have those three, that's why they're going away to a good home. Shank 2 is really fun and challenging too. And quite humorous.

As in, nothing concrete has been realized yet? So they still experimenting.
Do you think they will they be sticking to Halo 4 base or making huge Reach OT like changes?

I am hoping they will be able to enforce 3 second respawns and fix the pacing.

The competitive playlist really depends on ranks at this point, we can always release one but we are hoping as a community a big drive for us is ranks for the population.

juices is Richard Hatch. walks around with his balls flopping around all day then gets thrown in the slammer for tax evasion.

Short of having visible ranks in game I hope with the MLG or returning slayer pro playlists or TU early next year that 343i give out official API support. I am aware they were saying CSR isn't going to be in game, still holding out they have this for the classic playlists.

CSR could be interesting but if it's not in game or up to the task then perhaps API support would at least enable the community to get what they want (statistically speaking). Especially if CSR isn't up to standards or updated infrequently etc.

I like Modern Family, watched episodes all last two nights. Went to see Eric Stonestreet and Jesse Tyler Ferguson talk at UB. Was hilarious.

Dunno what any of this is.

But do you think people will care about ranks if they have to go through Waypoint's awful website to get them? I feel like it will be just as useless as BPR was.

Actually it wont be on Waypoint, your Ranks will be mailed to you at the end of each season at the bottom of a Doritos bag.

Quote for new page since apparently people don't like free stuff.

Some of the worst lag I've ever had just now wooooow.

On the other hand the game handed our team the binary rifle. We were all set up around Sticky Det ramp in Haven and the binary rifle dropped right there lol

On another note, I routinley quit out of Complex games now.

EDIT: What the fuck game is legit unplayable now. Teleporting everywhere

Too big for small teams of slayer only. I enjoy complex CTF though. I think I played a team regicide game on complex that was quite good as well.

Seriously.

This last week has been horrible, not just lag but people are acting like sponges. Every damn last one of them.

40 down and 5 up here

I really wish I could get into lobbies, have no idea whats wrong.

If you're willing to forgo security for that PC then put it into a DMZ (demilitarised zone) in your modem/router config. Should clear that issue up right away but that PC will get infected no doubt.

Also you can look at network monitoring tools to view the traffic or firewall issues you may be having too. Once you identify the issue port map, forward or exclude as you need to for resolution.

Also the second post on this thread has some tips that may help your situation as well, worked with the OP for that second post.

In general that first and second post combined has just about everything any player can do to maximise their connection quality for Halo online.

Are CC's looking for maps exclusively for doubles, or just small maps?

I made a small map, but I think it'll only work for 2v2.
Let me see what you got.

Grifball community is pushing for 3 second respawns as well. Runners need to know the exact timing of respawning players to determine their scoring window.

Dammit Forge. Loaded up my map to tweak it and everything's moved/rotated slightly. Blagh

I remember a few people claiming it was because of magnets, is that true?
Turning items away from their natural spawning position will cause this. It is not a glitch but is caused by [edit- too complicated to explain - blame it on math, rounding, truncating, and a fixed file size for forge maps - can we get a Fyrewulf in here to explain?]. It is present in all 3 versions of Forge.

You can use it to your advantage by duplicating already shifted pieces. A technique i used extensively in Halo 3 Forge.

  • Spawn several of the items and turn them using snap/coordinates.
  • Save, Quit, Load map from the map list (not from memory).
  • Examine the pieces. Select the one which has shifted the least, or best suits your requirements. Delete the others.
  • With snap tuned OFF, and Magnets on, duplicate the item and align with magnets. The duplicated items should retain the same skew as the original and you therefore should be able to align them.

I made an entire map in Halo 3 using this principle (replace ghost merge with duplicate/magnets, and a sharp eye with snap/coordinates). If anyone recalls the Conquest map Crackle i was able to get 8 Wall T's to align to the point of z-fighting, mirrored in each base, by using pre-shifted items. Doing this was deemed impossible at the time.

I used the same technique on the floor of the GAF Hallway map

Funny thing is, with all the new tools provided in Reach and Halo 4, i have yet to reproduce an absolutely pixel-perfect floor like on Crackle and GAF Hallway. I've come close, but not this close.
