Is fez worth getting? I remember hearing the end game was very cool and unusual? The demo did bore me fairly quickly but I really liked the concept and would play if they have lots of variety and throw in some mindfuck moments in there.
For 400 msp? Hell yeah. Be warned though the game is buggy, but for most part easly playable. Really unique puzzels and the world is charming.

I just finished it tonight, actually. The ending was indeed amazing, it blew me away. That being said, if you didn't like the demo, I'm not sure if you'll like the rest of the game (I haven't played the demo though). The game is pretty consistent throughout, you're pretty much doing the same thing for the whole game, which is stumbling around the world looking for puzzles to solve. But the world is so pretty and interesting that the exploring is pretty cool. There are some cryptic puzzles thrown in, though (not required to finish the game), but they're so obtuse they're not fun to solve if you ask me. Overall, I really liked the game though.
Same here. Only play Zelda games with the controller. Replaying WW right now, oh the memories. Great game. I've never understood the LTTP love. It's a great game but I think all the 3d Zelda's are more fun to play.
I didn't get it either but whatever. Halo is going in different direction. Is what it is.

Guess I'm not really a big fan of most 2d sidescrollers.

The thing about LTTP (and 2D Zeldas in general I guess) is that their format allow them to be a lot more brisk in how they handle, well, everything. You don't need a horse in LTTP, you can just sprint so it doesn't matter. You don't need Z-targeting because your game handles clumsily in 3D. Most importantly though (and I think this particularly marred the first three 3D Zeldas), you don't have a fucking instrument that you need to keep inputting a bunch of commands into. God damn did that get grating; I mean yes you had your flute but you used it like any other item. You also don't have a crawling start, or a lot of pauses where the game takes control away from you, or a nagging presence with you at all times.
Also, Master Sword projectiles are too awesome for 3D.

I am a fan of sidescrollers and still shadow complex did very little for me
Shank had character even if was forced so I actually Liked that somewhat.
Iv got the best 2d sidescroller idea in the world that iv wanted to make for years but it's A huge complex task and will never happen so I'll just take it to my grave or wait till we are at a point when the tools are incredibly easy to use
In other news... Halo 4 ....
You know why you didn't get it? Because it makes no sense. All I can say is that I'm extremely disappointed.

Yea I remember Shadow Complex looking pretty good for a XBLA game. Speedrunning that game was so fun.

i never speedran it but i spent a good amount of time 100%ing it, or whatever arbitrary number they decided was full completion
i really liked that game. I still use the gamer picture from it.

Oh man, I just dominated a team in BTB with damage boost DMR on Ragnarok. My first Killtacular of Halo 4, too. I felt like a ninja. The game just wouldn't stop giving me great ordnance and excellent drops as I'm moving around. At one point I had damage boost, a sniper, and a binary rifle all at once at pelican. I feel dirty.
At one point I ran out of ammo completely, in front of their base. So I sprinted and jumped up the front amidst turmoil, no shields. I execute their sniper, while sidestepping the guy beside him and lifting out the side lift, still no shields. As I land, I have just enough time for enough shields to recharge to duck under cover as a single DMR shot hits my head. I proceed to sprint back to our base, hop into a banshee, and continue on to a killing frenzy until I'm taken down by a guy waltzing around with a turret. Immediately as I spawn I call down a damage boost and get a killtacular.
Good times. First time I've has this much fun playing Halo in awhile, and I'm playing all alone. That rarely happens.

Same here. None of my friends are playing. This never happened with any halo before. We were playing Reach/3 none stop for few months.
