Im just worried it will be a convulated mess since it takes so long to make. Maybe better to start fresh.

Versus XIII could essentially be "XV" really. Even if not in name, it's certainly what the concept is aiming for.

FF III/V/VI 2D HD remakes (à la 25th anniversary edition, no 3D crap thank you...)
FFXII HD remake (really deserves it)
FF vs XIII
FF Type-0 (EN version)
Braverly Default (EN version)
KH 1.5 HD (EN version)
KH 2.whatever (EN version)
KH 3
DQ VII (EN version)
DQ X (EN version)

All of your future titles scheduled for EN translation... stop messing with us...

What about some new, really cool IPs...
Oh and stop trying to please western audience, just do your games, do what you were good at before trying to please others, releasing crap after crap... and failing... (this one is for Square, not Enix).

I can't even go to that page for some reason. It just takes me to edit my profile. And well... there's nothing that needs to be edited.

Yes, because FF14 is out and is an MMO.

Assuming you meant 15, yes, I would like Square to FINISH things they started 7 years ago before starting a new game. When they've actually done that, then they can lay the FNC to rest and move on.

I'd go with the opposite. If a developer or team cannot get a game finished in 7 years, then perhaps they should stop throwing good money after bad. Maybe that person shouldn't be in charge, or at the least not given a seemingly unlimited budget. That sounds a bit like 3Drealms and Duke. Actually, maybe they could hand it off to Gearbox and move on. Then everybody wins!

Urgh. Somehow that would make the wait for a 'new' FF game feel even longer even if there's nothing in development.

I don't want much from Square so my list is short.

-Versus (lolwishfulthinking)
-Sleeping Dogs 2: The Legend of Pok Bun Sup
-Deus Ex: Whatever
-Type-0 released in the US (lolright)
-Give Matsuno and Hiroyuki Ito control over your main FF line, fire Toriyama or make him a janitor.
-Let Akihiko Yoshida be your main "go to" artist.
-Allow Tri-Ace to make another game (Square pls)
-Bravely Default released in Mericu'n.

We don't have "get out of jail free" cards, but if we did, she'd have one.
what I posted: dqvii and bravely default
what I should have posted: hire magius

Did you establish your account ages ago? They seem to have done a big refresh, and I think they'll force you to update your profile before you can do anything.

I created an account years ago for some reason I no longer even remember, and upon login was immediately sent to an "update your profile" page.

I think a lot of people would find Bravely Default to be really close to a game they've been wanting for a long time. That's how I feel about it, and so do many others who've played it.

Sadly, I also think that even if it were released in the west, it would be really overlooked.

Is it worth all the hype? I mean, is it the kind of game that someone could play and think "Ah, this feels like old Square", or are people just happy to have an RPG from SE that isn't FFXIII?

Now this just makes me feel sad. :/

What game does it feel like the most: FF5 or 4 Warriors of Light, or both?

Yes. It is. BDFF is amazing.

I'd take Type 0 on anything. Though I prefer Nintendo systems because that's me.

I'm 99% sure Deus Ex 4 is on UE4.

That would be even better. Deus Ex with better than Samaritan fidelity is my dream.(the lighting and reflections from the UE4 demo alone would make it look amazing.) Was this leaked somewhere or something?

The game is like a modern take on Final Fantasy 5 in lots of ways, and by not calling it Final Fantasy, they were able to take some liberties with the jobs that are really neat. It's really like a new SNES RPG with some more modern trappings, though, and I think that would appeal to a fair number of RPG fans.

What do you mean by overlooked ? Overestimated ?

They also aren't limited on creativity for summon monsters.

How is the story/characterization? I just need a simple answer on that one, I don't want to put you out.

As in, people would not buy it because "Final Fantasy" is not in the title.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but Final Fantasy games aren't necessarily restricted in this sense. FFXII had mostly (all?) unique summons.

I think I'm going to go back to pretending this game doesn't exist until a localization's announced.

Ignorance is bliss, etc.

Overlooked as in not played/purchased by many people. Handheld RPGs don't tend to find a very large audience in western markets.

Okay ! Sorry, I don't fully understand english. Yep that's why I fear too. Much people who claims they want it... But in the end few people buying it. That would means no sequel in West. But I rather have only the first one and no sequel than nothing.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, when I say 'modern take' that also includes where Japanese games are at with characters and storytelling, which is one of my major peeves with the game. There's a fair bit of otaku pandering in the party chats and even a couple of the more minor story scenes.

They still could call it Bravely Default: Final Fantasy.

Give me a Last Remnant sequel or at least a game that utilizes the same combat/battle system and I'll be good to go. And yes, I do realize that this is never going to happen, but I'll continue to hope that I'm wrong. ;_;

type-0?
heard of it s-e?
it's quite good apparently, so maybe you can cash on something new and not on remake or ios game, once in a while :)

The main reason why it's unlikely to happen is just that the director and many of the staff are absorbed in FF14.

Wasn't the game wrote by a guy who makes visual novels? that would explain it. lol

I thought that the plot was quite decent...

I think Versus XIII should be revealed as Final Fantasy XV

I'm not sure Versus would benefit anymore from having 'XIII' in the name, and I can't realistically see why it'd have to be part of the series, even if it does share mythos.

And then they should reveal Agni's Philosophy as the 'future' (i.e FFXVI) so people can forget about the XIII stigma and focus on the next two major installments
