Oh man I ment ffxv sorry!
Im just worried it will be a convulated mess since it takes so long to make. Maybe better to start fresh.
Kingdom Hearts III including Indiana Jones, Marvel, and Star Wars characters.
This one is basically guaranteed.
I think those waiting for Versus XIII might be happy this year, finally... maybe...
I hope so. I'm one of them.
Yes, because FF14 is out and is an MMO.
Assuming you meant 15, yes, I would like Square to FINISH things they started 7 years ago before starting a new game. When they've actually done that, then they can lay the FNC to rest and move on.
Urgh. Somehow that would make the wait for a 'new' FF game feel even longer even if there's nothing in development.Versus XIII could essentially be "XV" really. Even if not in name, it's certainly what the concept is aiming for.
I have no hope. Hoping for anything from Versus XIII is just a way to incite despair.
Did you establish your account ages ago? They seem to have done a big refresh, and I think they'll force you to update your profile before you can do anything.I can't even go to that page for some reason. It just takes me to edit my profile. And well... there's nothing that needs to be edited.
Dissidia Duodecim HD. Seriously. It's easy money.
With online, it could be Square's best game ever!
Is it worth all the hype? I mean, is it the kind of game that someone could play and think "Ah, this feels like old Square", or are people just happy to have an RPG from SE that isn't FFXIII?I think a lot of people would find Bravely Default to be really close to a game they've been wanting for a long time. That's how I feel about it, and so do many others who've played it.
Sadly, I also think that even if it were released in the west, it would be really overlooked.
Sure you are
Now this just makes me feel sad. :/I think a lot of people would find Bravely Default to be really close to a game they've been wanting for a long time. That's how I feel about it, and so do many others who've played it.

I'm 99% sure Deus Ex 4 is on UE4.
The game is like a modern take on Final Fantasy 5 in lots of ways, and by not calling it Final Fantasy, they were able to take some liberties with the jobs that are really neat. It's really like a new SNES RPG with some more modern trappings, though, and I think that would appeal to a fair number of RPG fans.Is it worth all the hype? Anything other than Versus is the wrong answer.

Overlooked as in not played/purchased by many people. Handheld RPGs don't tend to find a very large audience in western markets. What do you mean by overlooked ? Overestimated ?
They also aren't limited on creativity for summon monsters.
How is the story/characterization? I just need a simple answer on that one, I don't want to put you out.The game is like a modern take on Final Fantasy 5 in lots of ways, and by not calling it Final Fantasy, they were able to take some liberties with the jobs that are really neat. Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but Final Fantasy games aren't necessarily restricted in this sense. FFXII had mostly (all?) unique summons. They also aren't limited on creativity for summon monsters.
I think I'm going to go back to pretending this game doesn't exist until a localization's announced. The game is like a modern take on Final Fantasy 5 in lots of ways, and by not calling it Final Fantasy, they were able to take some liberties with the jobs that are really neat. Well, if it makes you feel any better, when I say 'modern take' that also includes where Japanese games are at with characters and storytelling, which is one of my major peeves with the game. There's a fair bit of otaku pandering in the party chats and even a couple of the more minor story scenes.I think I'm going to go back to pretending this game doesn't exist until a localization's announced.
Ignorance is bliss, etc.

The main reason why it's unlikely to happen is just that the director and many of the staff are absorbed in FF14.Give me a Last Remnant sequel or at least a game that utilizes the same combat/battle system and I'll be good to go. And yes, I do realize that this is never going to happen, but I'll continue to hope that I'm wrong. ;_;
My point was solely that FFXII shows SE can add all new summons to a game if it wants to, regardless of the game title.Revenant Wings?
Other Ivalice Games?
