505 games

Level5

The THQ DS franchise will probably be Drawn to Life

Did he actually meant THQ franchises? For the translation, it could be any mildly popular DS franchise, it doesn't imply they're taking over a dead publisher IP...

This is how you do it, World. Give em' a tough time like Europe does and you get what you want.

Give us games, the virtual console, an actual account for software and patches for the OS.

The day before MS conference.

My prediction:

The entire year's lineup.

Will include Mario Kart U, a game from way out of left field (like Star Fox), and a Pokemon 3D battler (wildly upgraded) for XY

This has to be the Famitsu/Rich IGN news right?

I can't really think of a Nintendo-interested 3rd party franchise that was big on DS (and other platforms as well).

Layton?

Dragon Quest?

I remember a "rumoured" eShop games that listed a "Professor Layton: Chronicles" game.

I think they'll give a name and a very brief look at the next 3D Mario.

I think they have to give people one of their 'big three' to look forward to.

Currently polling second in Australia's federal election (first in the Gold Coast), this feral may one day be your Bogan King.

Rich's news was Project X Zone localisation.
Famitsu news was some Japanese thing. The magazine is out.

EDIT: I see there's another Famitsu scoop. SCOOP.

Is it confirmed that they will be talking about new titles are just about future titles? It could be to pimp out Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101 and any other titles that have been announced but not released or given a solid release date.
I think they'd save those for E3, but Nintendo is unpredictable.

I can see Metroid being announced at a ND but a 3D Mario will probably be left for E3.

I don't think Nintendo would relegate their Nintendo direct for one new game announcement that Crapcom would announce themself, especially if its going to be multiplatform.

Which would be the other two - Zelda and Smash Bros? Agreed that my money would be on Mario; I doubt the others are far enough along to show anything just yet.

If we see either EAD Tokyo's or Retro's next project before the E3 press conference, I'd be shocked.

I mean, I see where you're coming from, but predictions based on what Nintendo "has to" do don't have a very good track record, unfortunately.

F-Zero GX2 is the one predictable thing that would get me really, really excited. But I'm open to other cool surprises.

Watch the new Wii U game be Resident Evil: Revelations.

You'd hope not. A converted portable game which is going to all platforms? Surely they wouldn't waste more than a few seconds to mention it and then move on...

On a plus note, it is nice to at least see the Wii U listed against a forthcoming multiplatform release.

This Nintendo Direct is about 1st-party Wii U releases. So we could potentially be seeing these new announcements:

Monolith Soft's (Xenosaga, Baten Kaitos, Xenoblade) new Wii U game

Retro Studios's (Metroid Prime 1 2 and 3, Donkey Kong Country Returns) new Wii U game

Nintendo EAD Tokyo's (Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2, Super Mario 3D Land) new Wii U game

Nintendo EAD No. 1's (Nintendogs, Mario Kart DS + Wii + 7) new Wii U game
'
HAL Laboratory's (Kirby, Super Smash Bros.) new Wii U game

ND Cube's (Mario Party 9) new Wii U game

Intelligent Systems's (Paper Mario, Fire Emblem, Advance Wars, Battalion Wars) new Wii U game

But what I'm guessing is we're going to see Yoshi's Land for the Wii U and the Wii U project by Monster Games (Excite Truck, Excitebots, Pilotwings Resort). They're not 1st-party, but they're heavily rumored to be working on A SEQUEL to Diddy Kong Racing for the Wii U.

Or, because Nintendo EAD said they've been inspired to work on new IPs, we may see something completely new and original out of Nintendo's stable.

HYPEEEEEE.

They're announcing new games, but not in japan ? Isn't it weird ?

Where does it say that?

I'm scared to be hyped, I just want new awesome game announcements for Wii U, first and third party wise.

GTAV Wii U would be really cool and help the Wii U me thinks

I would if the link worked.

I think you may be disappointed. Not that I know anything of course. Wonder if we'll see Resident Evil Revelations Wii U tomorrow?

First Smash Trailer. I can FEEL it!!

I seriously doubt that we are getting smash trailer. They gotta to save it for e3. I find it funny that we are getting Wii U Direct tomorrow awhile fake rumor said that we would get smash direct on Jan 31.

Fake Rumors debunked which is not surprising.

I'm not expecting to hear about Monolith Soft, Retro Studios, Smash Bros (the game's only been in development for around 6-7 months max) or 3D Mario projects tomorrow. That shit would be too good to be true. As far as services go, we'll perhaps learn about Nintendo's plans for off-TV play on VC.

At the very latest, we're going to hear about their projects this E3.

Nintendo needs to bring their big guns for E3...since they're going up against two brand new console reveals.
