Vita PSN Game & Service Thread 2

Awesome! I hope you really enjoy it!
If you're getting a screen protector, I'd suggest the one by Hori. There are videos on YouTube showing how to put apply it correctly.

What games are you getting for it? As you might know from the thread, Persona 4 Golden and Mutant Blobs Attack are really great!

Persona 4 Golden is a must, and Gravity Rush! :D

Getting Uncharted Golden Abyss & Retro City Rampage in PSN (Malaysia) this month, so that helps matters.

Thought a lot in getting either a 3DS or Vita. Decided to get a Vita instead since PSN will pimp me with new games every month. I won't get to play Pokemon but hey, there's that backlog of PS1 games I've always wanted.

I also have NFS:MW--pretty amazing on the Vita.

Been playing the Sonic Racing demo and there's only one part where I notice it stutter--at the exit of the cave in the Golden Axe course, a short distance before the the 1st checkpoint.

Was just wondering, if I'm happy with the frame rate of NFS:MW can I expect the same from Sonic Racing? Is it better or worse in your opinion (in terms of overall frame rate)?
Sonic Racing has framerate problems also on home consoles!

What does native res actually mean?

PSO2V reminds me a lot other F2P games' iOS ports -- literally ripped off the computer and plopped on a new system. It's definitely better than some that I've played, but areas that could have and should have been optimized for Vita play aren't. That's why many things look small, very little is touch-enabled and everything, even the not-so-important stuff is still on the main screen.

But it's PSO2.

PSOTWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

Any Malaysian/Singaporean/HK Vita owners here? I'm trying to find out if any PSOne classics are available on Vita. The official PSN website for asia is so badly updated.

It means that the game is rendering each pixel on your screen.

Therefore, if a game is not native res, it's not actually rendering 1 pixel for each pixel on your screen. (It would be upscaled).

This is common on many console games. For example, Call of Duty 4 only rendered at 600p resolution, even though the screens that displayed it would be running 720p or 1080p.

Thank you Monosukoi and PopInnovation!

Payday today! I think I shall march to the store this weekend and pick me up a spare mem card. Any recommendations from the J-store?

Holy damn, this echochamber goes fast! :p

Urgh, that sucks. Usually between 6-12 days for me. Must be your customs office.

Chh you didn't follow me, I joined the other day and have literally 1 follower and that's Grim :lol

I ordered P4G and Ragnarok Odyssey from VGP and they both took a week to turn up. Plus they made sure to lower the declared value so it didn't get caught up in UK customs unlike GameStop/EB Games.

Damn Italian customs office! I imagine they're still figuring out where the damn package comes from or something: "CA, uh? Is that... California? Cambodia? Castle Shikigami? No clue really, it will have to wait" :'(

Also Monosukoi what's your twitter user id? I couldn't find it :p

Anyone playing Unit 13? Please add me (mrblack343). Just started playing it again and I still love it. :) Almost 100 stars, with something like 8 missions unplayed. Guess Scorpion and Grifter (high value targets) are almost impossible to unlock.

Naw it gets a lot easier if you use the masked sniper dude with the silencer as you get a significant points boost.

I am singaporean, but unfortunately, I am using a US account.

I think you should consider switching. The asian PSN is poorly supported.

Request sent! But I haven't played much lately because of P4G so I will definitely suck if you wanna coop. I haven't even played that many missions--got hooked replaying a couple of the early ones to get better scores.

But I'm up for a game nonetheless if you're ever online.

Got a question for anyone who has imported a game that has an update/patch. I know you need a separate memory card and account to access other regions' stores, but can you update a Japanese game on a North American account for example? The only imported game I have is Project Diva and as far as I know, there's no patch for it so I can't use that for my own information.

If anyone here is in the UK and near a Grainger Games, go have a look at their vita stuff. I just got an import copy of Persona 4 Golden for £30. Also got a brand new red dualshock3 for £30.

Do the PS1 Final Fantasy games hold up? Or would FF4 be a better option for a casual RPG fan?

They do, but since you added the casual fan caveat, FFIVCC has an auto battle option that you can use which doubles battle speed while everyone auto-attacks so you can snooze away.
