Eurogamer’s Ian Higton is back with an updated list of every PSVR2 game in development right now! What follows is a list of every PSVR 2 title so far that has been confirmed to be in development by its developers and it includes upcoming PS VR 2 releases, PS VR 2 exclusives and PSVR to PSVR 2 upgrades, whether they be free or not. This list is updated for April 2023 and does not include the 60+ PSVR2 titles that are already on sale.

To be honest, my PSVR2 is collecting dust already. The lack of high-quality software is a problem. The device is good for short mini-game sessions, but IMO not worth the price. It was still quite nice to simply try out VR. I hope for AAA productions that also use the possibilities of VR and not just look nice.

Good news for early backers. Being one myself, I keep thinking if I wasn't too hasty with the purchase but glad to see it getting some traction. Although quickly scanning through the list, it looks like it's mostly some mid-shelf stuff that was already out on PC before. I'd rather see fewer announcements but for some triple-A games like RE4.

Legend, thank you for the list

Good, it's felt pretty barebones for us owners, honestly I wouldent mind a few re-releases like astro so that they work with PSVR2 as well.
RIGS isn't on PS VR2, right? The one PS VR MP game Sony did not drop after a few months. Starblood Arena did not even get a patch for its existing offline bot mode...
What about Farpoint, Wipeout? At least they should port the good stuff.
I assume many of those are not bad at all, but where are big announcements? Big exclusives are certainly not coming, but more hybrids?

The next Dirt/WRC, Ride, F1, ACC, NfS is hopefully included in the near future but all other genres? Any big Unreal engine games which already get unofficial ports on PC?

I really don't get how Sony wants this to have success when the games are just experiences which in ideal cases turn out to become Beat Saber but on average are somewhat fun, and cheered by enthusiasts, but just not really system sellers.

For me, the 10 games that I’m looking forward to the most (from that list) are Synapse, Wingman, Golf, Walkabout Golf, Beat Sabre, Low-Fi, Red Matter 2, The Foglands, Wanderer and Behemoth. Some new, some old, but I haven’t played any of them.

However, the lack of racers in that list is the biggest concern for me. I really hope that EA, Codemasters, etc., add VR modes to their upcoming racing games.

Where is Half Life Alyx? A Valve VR Set exclusive isn't it?

So out of the 93 games there, be honest, how many stand out except for the "full game" ports like RE4? I see a massive list of short "experiences" and shovelware tbh
Alot of ports in there but they are not all shovel ware, project wingman and hubris should be visually good pcvr ports and they are good games aswell then you have red matter 2 and windlands 2 which are quest ports and are fun games. There's more in there that are probably good I havn't played but if you don't have another vr platform there's some good stuff in there.

lol these psvr2 haters are exhausting. There are a lot of great games in that list that I look forward to.
Any PSVR2 article now just brings on the haters or the "needs a price cut" crowd.
It's the best thing about this generation IMO.
There could be 1000 games out for it and 100s of amazing titles, and these same people would come up with other reasons.

So many people oddly averse to awesome tech with an already great selection of titles.

Fair enough, but none of the titles announced really live up to the quality you'd expect for the price of admission. You could play most of them on a Quest 2 with a decent midrange pc already, at half the price. Maybe shovelware is a strong word, but for a "premium" headset I expect better tbh.

and if you're someone that places a decent amount of VR. You don't really want every game to be a big long AAA game to begin with.
Plus any game like that is going to get announced at a show . . . which we haven't had even for PS5 in awhile. People need to pipe down.

for the novelty factor I payed more for PS VR1 than for the PS4 and I would again relative to the PS5, if this time it would have come out swinging but it does pretty much the same, which is just not exciting anymore once you actually know what to expect but seemingly don't get.
All I want are more ports of more games, big budget (and small too), not those dozens of interesting but at their core smaller games due to low budget and limited ressources and small target audience. Sony themselves not really commiting again, Capcom being the only big third party so far doing something and the rest is just VR-enthusiasts Indies.
Great for those who really love VR, but those that were not blown away before probably can't get excited for something that is again not fulfilling the promise Oculus Rift made, which was also not the first VR thing and alrady then we were promised the next big thing.

Exactly this. Well said. I had PSVR1 and did get PSVR2, had my share of GT7 and RE8, but returned it within the 30 day window as the novelty has well and truley worn off already. I just do not have faith in Sony at this point, as you've said they are just not commiting enough with it.

Any PSVR2 article now just brings on the haters or the "needs a price cut" crowd.
Failing hardware sales and lack of AAA games really do bring out the doom and gloom articles and "haters" therein, don't they.

My ps5 has been collecting dust most it's life. There's almost nothing to play on it that makes it different from a ps4+. Games like jedi survivor? Literally a ps5 game for no reason at all. Looks just like the previous game.
Exclusives are just higher settings ps4 games. Same goes for Xbox.

Xbox one, ps3 and several other mainline consoles have endured droughts that put psvr2 to shame. It just came out and it's an add on.

Great news, I'm keeping an eye on what gets released. Hopefully, more games that support crossplay with PC versions. I want to get one down the road but if they ever (and I know I'm dreaming) announce full PC compatibility, I'm ordering first chance I get. From everything I've seen, PSVR2 is the best bang for the buck VR headset/controller package. I just don't have a PS5, but will get one eventually.

Is that a lot though? What is this relative to the amount being made for Ps5/Switch/Series X/S?

I mean for Switch and XBOX the number is zero because they don't have a VR headset, lol.

I see what your saying though. VR games are always going to be smaller in # when compared to the deluge of indie games that get released on consoles.

With VR, quality over quantity is key. I've honestly got my money's worth with Village alone but yea, owners definitely want more amazing games to play and we want to see games that take advantage of the hardware.

Just gotta be patient. The doom and gloom is far too early for PSVR2.

Yeah I’m not really trying to doom and gloom, “93” just means nothing to me. Is that a lot? Very little? Medium? Relative to what?

GT7 is pretty much all I need so far.

But yeah, more AAA games are definitely positive.

Yea, I wasn't directing the doom and gloom at you, just in general.

I'd say it's very little cause these 93 games are releasing throughout 2023 or even later. I'm sure there's other games that haven't been announced yet though. The # is always going to be small compared to flat gaming because VR is so niche. The hope is that studios offer a VR mode with games moving forward. If Sony were smart they'd give millions and support studios who are willing to do it with their AAA games like Capcom has been doing. I'm assuming Sony is helping with that, seems crazy if Capcom did it with RE7 & Village out of the kindness of their heart. Village is honestly amazing. Same with RE7 but Village takes it to a new level.

You don't want longer and better games? Really?

The vast majority is regurgitated pc/quest titles that are not the type of software needed to sell more psvr2 units. If you can't handle this, that is unfortunate but doesn't change things. And trust me, you want more psvr units to be sold, assuming you want more games going forward.

It's been less than 2 months and they have GT7, RE8, Horizon, Walking Dead 1+2, Star Wars, NMS. etc.
I said you don't want EVERY game to be AAA big long releases, it's more tasking to wear a headset for hours at a time on a single game everytime you put on a headset.

Not everyone bought crap cell phone vr, a lot of us haven't played these games, and they're the best version of these games.

PSVR2 is outpacing the PSVR during a soft launch with a smaller PS5 install base while not in retail stores . . .

People like being in denial and think it's all doom and gloom cause they wanna think their cell phone chip vr is good enough, that's on you. I can tell you it's crap compared to PSVR2. If you can't spend the $$$ that's on you.

Blood Trail has 2 devs and they're taking their sweet time to finish the game. Last big early access update was in June 22 and the last hot fix in August.

And then I'm not sure if Sony would even allow it..

Half of them will get cancelled, half of the other half will prolly be garbage, and the rest you'll prolly see them like 1 per year or some shit. Yeah sry, no reason for me to jump on VR yet unless I have at least a dozen of quality story focused games like Alyx.

95% of them are multiple years old PCVR and Quest ports. Literally the only notable games in this giant list is RE4's VR mode and Firewall (which is itself a PSVR1 remaster). Just objectively dog shit support and communication from Sony. Vita, Move, and PSVR1 all look like Prodigal Son's compared to how Sony has just sent this thing out to die with no future outlook messaging whatsoever.

For the people who say PSVR2 is already dead. Is there a specific reason why you're being a hater so early in its life? Because that's all you're doing, just being a petty hater.

I don't see anyone who owns a PSVR2 headset flaunting it on Gaf, acting like we have it so much better than flat gaming, no one is doing that. I bought it specifically for Village, I'm sure others bought it cause they are much more dialed in to VR as a whole. The poo pooing honestly comes off as console war jealousy BS nonsense.

VR benefits everyone in the long run if it sells well and remains an option. Seeing the doom and gloom stuff just doesn't make any sense to me.

Any of you care to comment?

Black Friday this year we should get an idea on if they over produced units.

100% If the BOM on the PSVR2 really is $260, then there's no way they can justify selling it above $500 and thinking the every day gamer will buy it at that price.
