Just for clarification, when switching accounts, you have to go through all of those steps every time you switch between your cards/accounts?

You all remember that i was talking about a friend making a Playstation Mobile game? Well, he's almost finished it and it's in line to be submitted to Sony pretty soon, so i thought i'd mention it here.

I'll just mention that i have no vested interest in this game whatsoever - i'm just mentioning a good looking game coming to Vita, like i would do with any other game :)

So this is "Nunnageddon", the game. It's an arcade style game. I'll let the man himself explain it

Nunnageddon is a PlayStation Mobile title created at the Norwich Indie Game Jam which took place in December. A frantic arcade shooter that gets players taking down enemies attacking from the skies and on the ground, Nunageddon has been designed to be pick up and play as well as utterly addictive. It has since been refined and polished and will be available for release on PS Vita soon.

Any questions, feel free to follow him on twitter - @DanielCake

Now I regret buying Lumines for just 10€ lol. However, I'm glad WO2048 is in EU PSN+ so I can finally complete MP

By the way, is Michael Jackson's game worth at all? I've seen an offer for it and I thought It'd be interesting to ask you.

If this happens, I'll trade my cart in and keep the digital version. Definitely one of my top 3 favorite Vita games.

The irony is I would have bought it in December when it was advertised for $17.49 as part of the winter sale. However, they rubbed me the wrong way when they said that was a mistake and it is not part of the winter sale despite listing it in the blog post and even dropping the price 30% which is what the sale was all about, 50% for Plus, 30% for everyone else.

Definitely trying Sleeping Dogs on PS3, I'm actually finishing it right now on my PC but I'm curious on how it performs on consoles since I feel the PC version is a little too fast with cars (in a bad way, like it's accelerated or something). Not sure it's a game feature or a PC bug on my rig/videocard.

Also, yay for Wipeout and Lumines but my PS+ trial will probably expire before that date and I wanted to get the physical version of Wipeout anyway. Hopefully being free on PS+ will lower a bit its price on amazon .uk or .it (it's already very cheap though). Plus is really a good service.

Unfortunately yes. The boring part is the intro video though (you can skip by turning off the console while it plays anyway), the rest is very quick. Just be careful not to format your card in the process :p

I got it free when Ubisoft messed up something the first day the Vita (First Edition Bundle) came out. It didn't seem too great. For free I don't complain, but still. It SEEMS to be the same as the iOS/Android game going by the gameplay, but don't take my word for that. I don't actually know.

Sleeping Dogs, Lumines, and WipEout 2048 for free?

Man, f*** you guys.

Haha, poor corrosive :( He just wants some good PS+ stuff. Maybe we will get lucky one of these days :(

Ah :( That's probably not worth it for me, then.

Is there a PSN sale going on right now? Can't find anything in any thread but someone said there was.

Na has 13 for 13 going on with nothing for the vita
EU has a FF sale going on which has some games for the vita.

Haha, poor corrosive :( He just wants some good PS+ stuff. Maybe we will get lucky one of these days :(

I'm so glad I actually find the NA plus releases more to my liking than the EU ones so I don't have to sit around feeling angry at the EU updates lol

Alright I feel pretty comfortable in putting Sonic Racing above Mario Kart 64 and Diddy Kong Racing as best karting game ever. It won't ever match those memories I had as a kid with those games but it's an objectively better and deeper game in every way. I'm impressed with the track amount but more importantly I'm impressed with how they constantly change, not just when you have to repeat them in career mode but each lap they seem to change and offer something new instead of repeating the same circuit 3 times in a row.

Is there a list of the items on sale on the EU store? Any PSP games onthere?

there is a list somewhere though you could just check the ps store on your pc (I think that is the right link for it to auto detect your region)

I think ff1/2 is on sale I can't recall if disiddia is on sale... I will see if I can find the list real quick.

edit: EU ff list I think ff7 might not be properly on sale, at least I heard a few people say that.

I'm guessing the frame rate is dramatically improved in the full game? The demo was a little rough.

It can get a little sluggish at times if you're in 7th or 8th place because there's usually a LOT going on in the environment and when you add all the racers on the screen it can drop a bit but nothing horrible. I might double dip on the steam version in the future so I can play this in full 1080p/60fps and on a much bigger screen. It's a brilliant, deep and challenging game.

Actually, I must correct myself. The most boring part is having to sort all over again those bubbles. That is much worse.
I wanted to use my old 4GB card for my US account (I get PSOne games over there, they're cheaper, without black bars and at full speed) but the whole ordeal can be tiresome since I spend a lot of time organizing my bubbles (...lol?).
It makes more sense playing them on my old PSP at this point, or getting another Vita in the future exclusively for my US account.
Unless they finally decide to allow multiple accounts on the same system just like on PS3 (a man can dream).

No one interested in Nunnageddon? ;D

I can honestly say I have no interest in it, though i'm currently in one of those phases where not much of anything interests me so that might change in the future.

I am basically going through what I like to call backlogitus, where i have finally accepted I will never in my lifetime get through my backlog, so I am currently only caring about games that I absolutely want to play and beat, which as it turns out is very few games ><;.

I'll be interested when Toto gives it his thumbs down. Because, y'know, he will.

Of course... It's a PSM game. PSM has no games.

Doesn't look fun..

Fair enough. Looks fun to me :) Wouldn't post about it if i didn't think it looked fun.

So I just bought a 32 gb card. Sigh. Why the hell are these things so expensive.

For the same reason a 250gb drive for your xbox 360 costs $180 when you can get a 7tb drive for $100 these days.

P.R.O.P.R.I.E.T.A.R.Y.F.O.R.M.A.T. :p

It's worth the cash. Until we regret it because they release a 128gb card for $100 and we wish we'd waited.

I think I'll have to liberate my nephew of that and really give it a go. Might buy it for my self if I like it

it's the manufacturing process.

One would think that you would just make them in a plant like normal and they would be cheap to make... well that just isn't the case.

First off they have to keep a number of high level mages on staff in order to keep a portal between worlds open.
They also have to keep a number of hunters on staff who go through the portal and track down pixies.

You see for every GB of the vita memory card a pixie is needed, meaning it takes 32 pixies in order to make a single 32gb card. The prices get cheaper as you are technically buying in bulk, but the whole process is still quite time consuming and expensive.

I hear they are trying to make a new batch of cards using nymphs but they are having compatibility issues. Apparently nymphs are inherently nintendo fanboys and even after being processed don't want to link with a vita.

ok completely nonsensical bs story aside, it's because they are a format that no one else uses, meaning they cost more to make since they aren't in mass production. They were chosen as a way to combat piracy as the less common a format is the more expensive it is to pirate said format. That and they are selling well enough at the current price.

The Problem with PSM is that it is yet another platform for games.

Retail Games, PSN Games, PSM, PS Minis.

A different topic I would like to hear your opinions about:

Why doesnt Sony give me the ability to purchase games that are in my PS Plus library? There are some games I really like and I want to support the developers by really buying it. Can't -.-

Sony could do much more money if they had a better service.

I forgot to mention the different kinds of events in Sonic Racing too. It's not just racing it's drift challenges, versus challenges where you have to focus on knocking people out instead of just beating them in a race, challenges where you have to chase and shoot down a tank while it tries to kill you, traffic dodging challenges and a lot more. Such a deep game.

Set up a second account and buy it on that to cleanse your guilt?

because the store still isn't perfect and they haven't gotten around to recoding the store in a way that makes it so it can easily distinguish between stuff like ps+ games or full game trails to allow users to buy them even if they have those.

In general on the ps3 if you want a game that you already have on plus, buying it on an alternate ps3 account isn't a big deal. For ps vita it's a bigger deal but the vita isn't so popular that fixing the buying issue would be more important than getting the store running smoothly in general. There are still a number of things that could be improved with the new store, buying ps plus games is just one of them.

I hope at least one of those games (preferably Demon Gaze) makes it to the US. They look like NISA material.

I wouldn't count on NisA for much of anything this year, their plate is going to be pretty full with just Nis ps3 games as they have 3 of those to release still. (disgaea d2, witch, and the anniversary project) and they had the atelier localization as well as neptunia V this year which likely means they don't have the resources to do some handheld games.

I wouldn't rule out aksys or xseed though as they have been more active with niche pick ups recently.

Oh yeah, an insane amount of content AND variety. Such an amazing game.

Killzone news should have been the first update on the PS Blog.......

I know man :(

Super expensive, but I haven't looked back. Such a fantastic investment.

Think positively - if it had apple on it it would cost 200$ ;)

Picked mine up for about £47 on eBay which I felt wasn't that bad at about £1.50 a GB I know it's more than SD card prices, but more than compariable to SSD price per GB in the early days.

Well it isn't really helping the Vita succeed.

Anyway I do agree that they're worth it, seeing that PSN gives you free games each month. That's the biggest reason why I forked out some cash for it.

this is definitely one of the biggest issues with sony's digital store...i think its a huge detractor why some games get hidden and buried away or some dont make the money they should be.

they should all be displayed equally as just an item in the store, not confusingly separated and tucked away. i mean if you want to keep the label for mini/mobile fine but make it just a symbol or annotation on the summary page of the game.

Better service? While the quality of the SCEA PS+ games has been straight up garbage, with minor exceptions, for a long time, I don't really find fault with the "service".

I can see it picking up if they opened it up to all the countries, but might be a lil too late though. Honestly, the mini's had more going for it lol.

I was just filling in for Toto. I don't really care either way about PSM at the moment. Surge was cool, and the free games promo is all well and good, but until they add trophies, I really can't see myself caring about it, much like just about all minis except Velocity.

I don't think most people who decide they would like to own a Vita decide otherwise because of the current cost of memory. They either suck it up and convince themselves they can live on a 4/8gb card or they pony up the cash for 16/32gb for the convenience.

Wait wait wait!

When is Sleeping Dogs going to be free? Is that just for EU?

Yes. SCEA sucks and we won't see anything like that for awhile. While EU ends up getting the games we get at some point (see: WipEout2048, etc.), we're still waiting on a ton of games they got... Arkham City, Crysis 2, Mortal Kombat, etc. However, we'll probably never see them. Next free game for PS+? Probably Mass Effect 2 or Bioshock.

We'll get Sleeping Dogs for free in 2015 as a PS3 classic or something on the PS4 PS+.
