looks like Time Warner isn't playing ball. i wonder if Comcast or someone else will speak up now...
return fire.
Are you sure your not getting 5Mbps? I am not exactly a fan of Cablevision, but all of their plans in the NY Tri-State area offers a minimum of 15Mbps
Does changing the DNS settings for Netflix to get the US shows still work from the UK?
It never stopped working for me.
Yep. Go to their setup page for more detailed instructions. It's pretty easy.How does this work?
I just need to use their DNS to get Super HD or what?
Yes, we're supposed to get higher bitrates. It's in the OP. The entire point of partnering with ISPs is so Netflix can reduce their load.vazel, "super HD" might not just be a data rate increase, but a better codec/higher profile H.264 mode or somesuch. Do we know it is actually supposed to be higher data rate?
360 Netflix is behind a pay wall and they can't get this?
I'm surprised they're blocking the 360 due to resolution but are letting the WiiU pass on stereo output.
It's pretty wonky right now. We're trying to figure it out over on the thread we have going at AVSForum. Come on over and post your results, we'd appreciate it.I'm not sure unblock-us Super HD is working. I see the Super HD icon but I get about the same transfer speeds as with regular HD. I tested with the movie Sahara and episodes of House of Cards.
With unblock-us 'Super HD'. First eight minutes of the first episode of House of Cards. It spikes to 6.5Mbps for the first minute but then settles down after that. This spike happens with regular HD too so it's not indicative of Super HD.
Without unblock-us. First eight minutes of the first episode of House of Cards.
I'm glad I decided to do my due diligence before I started paying for unblock-us. I'll hold off until this all gets sorted out.It's pretty wonky right now. We're trying to figure it out over on the thread we have going at AVSForum. Come on over and post your results, we'd appreciate it.
As far as we can tell, just the Win8 Netflix app (US) and the Canadian Netflix servers for dedicated platforms (PS3/Blu-Ray players, etc) seem to be reliable for SuperHD w/Unblock-Us.
It could be more than just Unblock-Us. It could be that SuperHD just isn't working properly and we were the first to notice it. I doubt many would test it the way we would over at AVSForum.I'm glad I decided to do my due diligence before I started paying for unblock-us. I'll hold off until this all gets sorted out.
More ISPs must have been added. Just noticed I'm getting Super HD with Cox.
Wii U lists the stream as X-High though, which makes me wonder if they're just the old encodes...
