Okay. Neptune still doesn't exist in Greek mythology.
Yeah.
If they start mixing mythologies, that's gonna be dumb. I won't really give a shit, but come on. There's no reason for there to be two gods of the sea in a single reality.
but who else can this be?

Is it me or is Kratos riding that Manticore?
There are tons of greek gods, titans, demigods, siblings, children, heros etc that haven't been used in the God of War universe.
Oh nice find.
These seriously look like pieces of art work.
Too bad he farted in this one.
Nope. The combat is a blast.
Darksiders' combat is a lot more like DMC than GOW though.I don't think comparing Gow with DMC/Bayo is fair. I consider them different genres within the action game portfolio. Gow is more comparable to Darksiders and Los than games like DMC and NG
What's the story behind the Furies, the two I've seen now are pale, deformed humans.
http://godofwar.wikia.com/wiki/The_FuriesThe Furies are the main antagonists in God of War: Ascension, as they hunt Kratos for 'betraying' Ares.
In Greek mythology they are chthonic deities of vengeance created when Cronos castrated his father Ouranus and threw his genitalia into the sea, the Furies emerged from the drops of blood. There were 3 sisters: Alecto, Megaera and Tisiphone. Alecto was charged with punishing those who committed moral crimes as anger, especially when used against others, she was the goddess of Anger. Megaera was the goddess of Jealousy; she punishs those who have commit crimes as cheating and adultery. Tisiphone was the third sister and the goddess of Vengeance, punishing those who have committed the crimes of murder: Patricide (killing leaders or your father), Fratricide (killing your brother) and homicide.
Created from the madness and rage of a war that was waged between The Primordial's (creators of the universe), the Furies were tasked to punish the wicked. All three sisters sport different appearances and different techniques of movement. Kratos is punished by the Furies for betraying Ares. They were revealed in the Furies Trailer but only one of the sisters, Megaera, has been shown. She's dressed like an amazon and having Roman Helmet with a plume like a mohawk. Huge spider legs sprout from the middle of her back and are several times larger than herself, which she can use to stab her enemies or even those who simply stand in her way. Megaera can also release a swarm of parasites from a diseased looking rash on her chest that bury into the skin of her enemies, possessing them into fighting for her.
Imagine what SSM can do with PS4.

Darksiders' combat is awful compared to GOW.
You simply do the same moves, over and over again.
I hope they don't do that. It makes the games look unique, and it goes with the period, because in my mind the period is tied to various claymation monsters etc that we had in the old movies.Hopefully they change their style of material shaders. I want something different from the made of clay visual direction.

Should they explore other mythologies or keep going with Kratos' stories?
I really don't think they can squeeze more than one game out of Greek mythology after Ascension. Every beast or demigod that's left by now is some kind of puny c-list crap. Practically all the major players have appeared in the series.
I'd like to see some other gods and monsters - in CoO, there was this persian (?) king, with his basilisc, and the flame thing he could conjure. In Ascension, we have an elephant man, which also seems to be more of an oriental beast.
But stick with Kratos please, no new heroes.
Of course, a reboot is not out of the question, since those are all the rage now. :lol
Shiiiieeeeet, and we're meant to see something 10 times more powerful in 20 days right...
No just no. New hero please.
Kratos is the closest Sony has to Mario, Link or Master Chief. Throwing him away would be stupid.
How the hell is this possible on current gen hardware, HOW?
No just no. New hero please.
Yeah that is correct. So I guess this is the timeline for the games
(PS3) God of War: Ascension
(PSP) God of War: Chains of Olympus
(PS2) God of War
(PSP) God of War: Ghost of Sparta
(Mobile) God of War: Betrayal
(PS2) God of War II
(PS3) God of War III

I wasn't sure if this is before the psp game, so I went and checked the wiki
Responses here amuse me because much of the same was said of GOW III which ultimately was nowhere near as fun as GOW II. Or Ghost of Sparta. Getting hyped from screenshots is so amateur.
