Why not tease it as "interesting news for PS3/360" owners instead? Same point across, some hype, and the negativity from Nintendo fans would be directed at Ubisoft, and not you (Rich)?

Well I certainly don't find it very interesting. And I don't know how Wii U Owners would think this is a Interesting news, but hey, Game Journalism!

This guy knew exactly what he was doing. He knew the news wasn't good, and instead of implying as such, he left quite a bit open for interpretation. Yeah, he deserves all the backlash he's gonna get out of this.

How was that interesting Wii U related news? That was just mean teasing. He could have worded it much better. It's not like it's not coming to Wii U, he might have just said interesting news for PS3/360.

For all those that said that having a try limit on WiiU demos is okay aren't smiling now are you.

I've got 25 tries of the of the Rayman legend demo to last me until Sept. A huge big fuck you Nintendo.

So instead of releasing in February alone as one of the first quality Wii U games, let's drop this shit right in the middle of a GTAV, 3D Mario, Mario Kart, and not to mention Orbis/Durango launch maelstrom.

I was ready to download this for full price day one in a couple of weeks. If this is launching at the end of the year, I'm going to wait until its ten bucks in a bargain bin somewhere. I won't have time to play it this Fall, and nobody else will either.

Oh come on. When is "interesting" ever used in a negative connotation? And it doesn't even affect Wii U owners outside of the delay. Him complaining at readers for his poorly worded announcement of an announcement is idiotic.

Except for the fact that the game is delayed for several months and that the "launch window" that Nintendo kept touting before the Wii U's release is now joke-tier.

It's kind of exactly his problem; he was not compelled to tease anything. He chose to do so to whip up excitement among his readers. He was not told to choose the language he did. He chose the language he did, either because he didn't consider the most likely reading of it or because he was having a laugh. Either way, any reaction is occurring to his action, so it's difficult to pretend that's not on him.

I played the demo for this game like 4-5 months ago and it felt finished. All of these delays are insane.

Still, this doesn't qualify as "interesting" -- that is definitely not an accurate descriptor.

Really? The big news Wii-U news is that Ubisoft, a company well known for porting all their games to every platform under the sun is taking Rayman, a series well known for being ported to all platform under the sun *gasp* multi-platform?

Wow so this gets delayed so that 360/ps3 has a day and date release and The Wii U version of Aliens Colonial Marines still doesn't have a date at all... not good signs for 3rd party stuff, especially this early on.

I guess it's that principal that Nintendo fans get riled more easily (and generate buzz), especially when they're in "Panic Mode." Otherwise this would've been a "interesting news for PS3/360 owners" thread, I assume.

Course it doesn't surprise me one bit. I always expect to be let down anytime a journalist says interesting news is coming.

I don't understand people up in arms about billing this as "interesting Wii U news".

If you're a Wii U owner, surely the delay of an imminent game release - one of only 2, maybe 3 at most decent releases this side of Q2 - is relevant to your interests?

Rich never said "Interesting good news for Wii U owners!".

Not defending IGN or Rich as I have no interest in either, but it seems a weird thing to get up in arms about. Maybe tensions are high because of the delay.

One of the reasons I rationalized getting a Wii u was that this game was going to be out in February.

So now no aliens, no rayman.....shit WTF.

This is definitely interesting, and effects Wii U people a lot (7 month delay on anticipated title).

Cry more about games journalism. That thread turned into a damn witch hunt and pile on like 3 pages in, and never improved.
