i wish they would have been a little more clear on what they're doing with the move

IS IT BUNDLED?! IS THE TECHNOLOGY IMPROVED?! ERGONOMICS?! DESIGN CHANGE?!
Looked like a regular Move to me, it's just that the camera is immensely improved. You can't improve the pink light anyway :)

The RAM all over my face :lol

The Blu-Ray is 6x compared to the PS3's 2x drive.

Price is still only rumored to be around 300£, give or take.

Not shocked no CELL processor.

Shocked by no involvement with Nvidia.

SLAPPED by 8GB RAM. Thought at the most would be 4GB.

Optical output, thank fuck

Sony should save themselves some money and get rid of the MONO speaker in the controller, and the MONO headset. What is this, 1989?

Why would you want a pack in headset to be anything but mono? Two speakers in that proximity wouldn't even make a difference in terms of perception.

o_O Have you ever even tried a 7.1 headset? It's GLORIOUS.
I can't imagine that being cheap, plus I kind of expect they could integrate surround support into games natively and you can just play it over your speaker setup. Which would probably sound better than trying to cram that many drivers into a headset anyway.

That too, would have been pissed if i had to change my amplifier because of that kind of thing.
slightly off topic, but 5.1/7.1 headset are shit. (have an HC and a DT770, had a tritton, was shit all around, but okay if you hadn't tried great headphones before )

It was rumored that when people thought it would only have 4gb of GDDR. That has now officially doubled.

It's going to be a base of $449 or $499 USD. There is no way around it without Sony just eating costs left and right.

Yeah I have wireless 5.1 headset from Panasonic and the quality sucks, however I needed something wireless around the house and they were cheap at hard-off so...

Back home I still have a set of logitech z-5500s which turned out to be an incredibly good investment. Sucks that Nintendo won't let me utilize them.

he also said something about separate custom processor that handles all of the background stuff like downloads and rest of it... did anyone else catch that?

1.8 TF!! 8GB of GDDR5!!! I know next gen will be glorious. PCs might even have trouble for a while. My body is ready.

This means Agni's philosophy is 1920x1080, 16AF, and possibly a combination of AA. OMG take me away SONY!!!!

If the BD drive is 6x then I predict BDXL because usually the max speed for BDXL drives are 6x

Yes.

There is also separate hardware that handles compression/decompression of video, etc (for Gaikai features, share, etc). I suspect they are on the same SoC.

so basically thats why all 8 Jaguars are used of games... separate cpu is running OS and probably security which is why they are saying nothing about it.

Some key info I found interesting:

Light bar gives information like health indicator warning

Funny. This reminds me that this is something that Microsoft was supposedly going to do with the Ring of Light on the 360 console and gamepad back when the system launched. Never panned out.

(Apologies if someone else already pointed this out.)

Optical out? I'm glad. I know it was silly, but I feared for the future my sound system when Nintendo released the WiiU.

I'm interested in learning more about those components and the "background" CPU. I guess we haven't heard much about this since it wouldn't necessarily be in the developer documentation.

Checking out the OP now

You know at first I didn't care for the overall look of the controller. Seeing it now in those press shots has made me do a 180

Looks comfortable as fuck and for once, looks to actually gripped in your palms, not cradled in your fingers ...either way works for me

Can someone compare the TFLOPS to current PC GPUs?

I don't think its right to compare it to pc gpus. First of all, I expect the architecture to be based on AMD's next generation of gpus. Secondly, developers will be coding "to the metal" as they say, which is something that is not possible on pcs. You have no idea how many custom features are present in AMD's current line of gpus but can't be used as they are not exposed under dx11. Thirdly, this is an APU SoC design, which enables faster communication between the components in the system and the advantages will also be exposed to devs. Last but not the least, developers will have access to 8gb of RAM, even if some of it is reserved for the system/OS, let's say 2gb, devs will still have at least 6gb of RAM to target, which, as far as I know, you can only get with the newly released Nvidia Titan.
