I haven't been watching, but good shit to PR Rog for making it to the top in umvc3. I wanted to watch sfxt but have they streamed it? I read a comment on eventhubs stating that they haven't streamed sfxt.

They're not, actually. The problem is that a lot of people are having to re-learn the game, and if you haven't been able to put the time in- it shows, and shows badly.

Well he's winning because of Zero. He still by far the best Zero imo. Watching his Zero then watch someone like let say Flux is like watching Yipes Dante/Vergil then having to watch Vergil # 40283802.

According to Art's twitter (as linked above) the reason SFxT didn't get stream time at Winter Brawl was specifically due to setup being a bitch, DLC specifically.
It's not a slam against Richard- Zero just has metagame problems due to his movement.

Richard is not a pelican or a fraud, he's probably the only non-fraudulent Zero player out there ATM who's actually using his entire team well rather than having Zero and 2 paperweight. He just needs to stop choking, and he'll probably still choke even if he's not playing Zero.
Richard isn't going to get any big wins playing any other character aside Zero on point. It's not like he is a stranger to other top tier, he used to play Wolverine, Phoenix, Magneto and Nova as well.
He's playing the exact character that rewards his skillset. Only other character he could try out is Viper but Viper gets beat harder by the stuff that Zero gets beat with.
There's no mythical character in the game which Richard can pick up that dominates the metagame single handedly. The closest thing is Dr Doom but only as a support. Richard does not have the defense to play Morrigan, Magneto, Dorm and he has already played the other rushdown characters. He's playing the exact characters he should be playing.

I wish Yipes used Team Brotherhood more. I think that's his best team and watching him play it is fucking magical. When he plays Spencer he gets overly aggressive and in many cases impatient which gets him opened up. Every time I watch him play I hope he whips it out.

That's certainly part of it, but he does like using his Spencer teams more more recently. Even took Yipes a while to adjust today to the PS3.
Sucks top players can't pick their shit or be as efficient as possible because the tournament platform of choice has a poor version of the game.
Thankfully, PS4 looks like it won't have that issue at all.

His Spencer team is his main team and has been the team that won him Summer Jam, don't expect to see him use his Dante/Vergil/Mag team much because it seems he would rather use his Wesker/Dante/Mag team nowadays.

It's more Capcom's programmers fault than the console (even though the GPU + memory setup in PS3 is ass)
TTT2 is technically pushing things much more than Marvel with higher polygon models and it still performs better.

That brotherhood team has long been what that's holding him back, he had always looked more convincing and consistent in his Spencer team.
What? He had to use Dante/Vergil/Mags to beat Chris G in winners finals and GF. His Spencer team got rocked.

That's a match up thing more though. His Spencer team is better at rolling over opponents though. That's why when he plays people like Justin, Richard N, or Fantiq he goes Spencer/Vergil/Hawkeye.
I wasn't making the claim that Yipes doesn't put in work with his Spencer team. I was just saying the dude's comment about Summer Jam was factually wrong. Also, he kind of has to avoid using the Super Sparsa Bros. against Wolvie players for match-up reasons, no matter how much he likes Dante and Vergil.
