Absolutely. When I get in game and everything is working I have an absolute blast and the hours just seem to fly by.

Hmm. Sometimes it just takes time, I'm sure other factors like job/shopping availability come in to play but I'm not 100% sure how all of that works yet. That's the kind of stuff I've been trying to tinker with and figure out while I slowly build my city.

In less than 3 hours I built a complete city on their tiny map, had dinner without pausing and got nearly $1M... It becomes extremely difficult to upgrade anything beside destroying everything. I can't even use that money to build a city next to it.

Yup. Really enjoying the game as a whole but you just cannot sit by and ignore the wealth of connection issues. EA should know better.

Is pretty easy build a big city in a short time, but are your citizen happy? How is the quality of their lives? You can try to specialize your creation in different ways. Have based the economy on a finite resource?
I dunno if having the sign up and stuff makes any difference.
Not sure if Sims are dumb if they don't have direction signposts.That's because you have no health care insurance. People don't have the money to go to the hospital!

What fixes the "no money" issue sims have? It's weird because I've seen when they complain about no jobs or high taxes, but "no money" is so vague...
Too much commercial maybe? i.e. they are spending all their money.

yeah, I believe they are according to the green smiley. I built the university with medicine/science/technology specialities, it unlocks some upgrades for few utility blocks...
but I like the city how it is..I just want to expand it. Well obviously I should have known I guess, but it still sucks.
btw, before switching to nuclear, my plants were asking me to find more coal or oil...how do I extract it, building industry blocks on the material sources isn't enough?

Yeah, you might be on to something, since my commercial demand is non-existent right now. But man, that's really dumb if true.
It's possible the road your large hospital is on is too congested and the ambulances can't get to your sick sims in time.
I think the "no money" issue means no income/job. There might not be enough jobs for that particular type of wealth resident. I usually have that message pop up in my low wealth houses because I don't have that many low wealth jobs.

Hmm, disasters that can't be turned off and unable to save your city in sandbox mode are deal-breakers for me.

Yes, this... because Maxis has created a great game. It's a shame that some white collars can do this.
Seriously! It sucks that if heads do roll for this, EA will probably roll them at Maxis, even though the whole Origin management team should be sacked. Or the bean counters who turned away any requests for server creation, maintenance or upgrades to handle the launch.
But alas, unlikely.

Oh thanks I'm wondering about "no money" too and what you said make sense .
And btw , roads don't need to be destroyed to build higher density ones , just upgrade them .

So far my best luck has come from playing in the middle of the night 2-5 am (est) . Which is definitely not the best time for me to play, nor the time where I can get an invite to my gaf region.

Are 8bit and Omiee still planning to play this game anytime soon? They haven't joined in on Delta Prime (Discovery Delta I) and it's really stalling my progress in that region. If they are unable to play it'd be great to get some new people in there to cooperate with.

PS. Make sure you log in to NA East 2 or else the invites won't work.
It's a lie actually. The server issues has nothing to do with Origin.
