Ouch at Crysis and Lego City, so many people were looking forward to it... guess it's little more than a poor GTA clone. Can we get some closing comments from the review? Definitely need to reconsider Tomb Raider, will pick up Kairo. Their Antichamber review last month was so spot on for me and that game looks interesting.

For what it's worth they never seem to score handheld games as high as console ones. I'd love to know what handheld games have scored 9 over the years but it's probably a big effort to collate that data.

I don't think that's true actually. I think the earlier games were really well regarded and they always previewed very well but around the time of Lego Indiana Jones they just got tired of the lack of invention in the series. It still scored a 6/10... this was a chance for the Lego franchise to reboot itself as Eurogamer points out and they seem to have just failed.

I should clarify that those complaints didnt come from Edge (I havent read their review). They came from another site that gave the game a 7 out of 10. If I'm understanding Edge's scoring correctly, a 5 is basically a 7 anywhere else.

Indeed, lego games always seem to range from 70-80 (sometimes 80+) on metacritic, so it's certainly possible this will still end up with a 70+ metacritic.

LEGO games are fun, but a 7 or 8 out of ten is the most they'll get on reviews (average, there's always sites who'll give it a 9+).

Chinatown Wars, Phantom Hourglass, Bowser's Inside Story, DQIX, Bangai-O Spirits and that's it for DS I guess.
