I'm expecting sometime down the road another embarrassing apology from Nintendo to their early adopters. While I cut them some slack on the 3DS, the fact that this is the 2nd time it has happened to them recently along with the fact that they had several years of blank release schedules to prepare a decent console library goes to show how much of a complete fuck up this system launch was. If they don't get their shit together for a mind blowing fall line up, then they can shut up and take their 3rd place trophy for next gen, because if this is all they can muster up then they more than deserve it. /rant of salty early adopter

Well, PS Vita games do see high sales on PSN. Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus has 165 reviews on the US PSN atm so it could possibly have twice as many digital sales as physical sales.

Don't know why anyone in their right mind that was invested in the Vita as a platform right now would be buying cartridges at retail. Digital all the way, baby.

eo4 actually did well. smaller companies like nisa, xseed, and atlus usually get 24k games sold to retailers at first, so selling that many to customers isn't that bad (atelier meruru did 5k its first month and that was okay). actually, what ngs2p did is more what a small company might expect. for tecmo-koei, it's more of a bomb.

15k is very good. I kind of wonder how similar niche games like VLR sold.

Yep, putting all the blame on myself for getting a Wii U so early. The bad signs were all there right from E3, but I ignored them and focused on the launch games (Nintendoland, NSMBU) while ignoring all the bad signs. (awful support for 3rd parties, poor hardware and UI)

Pikmin and Rayman would have made this part of the year acceptable. Now there's no release date for Pikmin and Rayman is delayed for another 6 months. MH Ultimate should ease the pain, though. For me anyway

Considering the Wii U has only really been bought by the hardcore so far, I figured that they would throw some support to Darksiders since it had been one of the (if not the) first third party titles to give its support to the console and wasn't a bad port. Also all those Nintendo fans who wanted Vigil to be bought by the big N when it imploded.

I had a fun time with NSMBU and Nintendoland, but the fact that there hasn't been any significant releases 4 months after launch is just plain laughable. Literally every console is like this. I can't think of anything that had amazing games just after launch but pre 3 or 4 months out.
