The only BF3 campaign level I liked was "Comrades", it felt like a real, living environment. While it was still very linear, it didn't feel like you were just running in a straight line.
You saw the exterior streets, entered through the carpark, and worked your way all through a fairly varied building layout, then the action spilled back out onto the streets. Aprart from the awful QTE fights it was pretty enjoyable.
It was a shameless COD rip-off, but at least it was a good one.
