The only BF3 campaign level I liked was "Comrades", it felt like a real, living environment. While it was still very linear, it didn't feel like you were just running in a straight line.

You saw the exterior streets, entered through the carpark, and worked your way all through a fairly varied building layout, then the action spilled back out onto the streets. Aprart from the awful QTE fights it was pretty enjoyable.

It was a shameless COD rip-off, but at least it was a good one.

BC1 was fun and then it went downhill.
Serious tone brings serious problems.

i'm still sour that they ruined the singleplayer campaigns. BC1 was really fun and the levels were much more open ended.

I still miss the old Haggard from Bad Company 1. He was entertaining, loved explosions, funny, loved explosions. In Bad Company 2 he suddenly got into serious mode and it all got a lot more boring. That combined with the story that went to rouge squad shenanigans looking for personal wealth to "save the world hnnnnng! 'Merica!".

Also, Rainbow Sprinkles still remains one of my favorite Battlefield ads.

I hope so.

If they release one of those sketchy trailers that really doesn't show anything and you have to fish out details from it by your imagination I'm gonna be bloody pissed

You need not worry.

I hope the player count is upped significantly on the PS4 version. I'm departing from PC and heading back into the console ghetto for the next few years, so it better be up to snuff.

Ooh man Bad company was so good.
Would love to have BC3 next year. BF will probably go the cod route with yearly releases :(

Agree, really liked Haggard.

the Metal Gear one was my favorite.

So the length is, acceptable at least? That's good to know.

Nobody will have a problem with the length, at all. I have no idea what the actual content is though. Not yet anywho.

Alright then, should be interesting.

In addition to the San Fran event, KGM (GM at DICE) said there is an event in Stockholm today as well.

I can't think of many devs that don't harbour this abusive relationship tbh.

In recent memory, Far Cry 3, BF3 and MoH Warfighter have been the at the forefront of utilizing that feature in a way that shouldn't be used. I really can't stand the black halo as if the object casting it was right up against another comparatively brighter object/wall.

All aboard the hype train!

Man I really enjoyed (miss) some of the ass-hattery that was possible in BF2: M95 cockpit on Oman,
C4ing commander assets, invading enemy bases!

I hope they bring some of that back.
I hope they include in game talk this time.

I guess previews go up as soon as they launch the trailer for the public?

Not sure how it's working, to be honest. We're not doing a preview, because we're in Australia, and if there was an AU hands-on event we weren't invited to it. I didn't know there was a pre-reveal hands-on event, but I do know press should have seen the trailer by now. As I said, I know people won't be disappointed by the trailer's length, but I don't know what's in it.

If there will indeed be hands-on previews then my suspicions of this being a pretty massive reveal should be correct.

Please be more like 1942. Please be more like 1942. Please be more like 1942.

I need war from this game, not deathmatch.

Well BF3 shipped over 17 million copies (it's unclear if the 20 million comment was also copies), so it's one of the absolute biggest franchises in gaming right now.

I didn't buy BF3 because my PC can't handle all of the awesomeness of that game. But I will be getting BF4 with my PS4.

I'm surprisingly hyped for this. I'm not a fan of EA or paying for "premium" (or like services) but I'm hyped... probably because it's next gen. I still won't get it until a Premium version is out.
