That's what Tomb Raider needs -- a Prima/Brady guide!
I see what you did there.

On another note, I have received 3 25% off coupons for Bit.Trip Presents Runner 2 on my Steam inventory, so if anyone wants them, now would be the time to ask. That will make the game $11.25, and I personally think it's a terribly good price for it.

May I have one please?

I'd like one, depending on how long do they last (aka, until the next big sale)

Sorry if late.

Any word on if AoE2 HD is unlocking in 3 hours, or 13 for those of us who prepurchased?

Good luck with the stuttering that Irrational is working on fixing.

I have played the first hour or so of the game, though only to ensure smooth sailing (I'll start a new game once I'm ready to dive into it), and using the various fixes/workarounds I was able to cure the stuttering for the most part.

I can't decide what to pre-purchase with the ~$8 I'll make from the BioInf items: Eador: Masters of the Broken World has long interested me and although I can't be sure if I'll actually play it, it does come with Eador: Genesis (which, as yet, isn't available separately); Age 2 HD I'll actually play, but on the other hand it's only one game. Maybe I'll flip a coin.

I chose Divinity II: Ego Draconis, since this is the first time it's been more than half off. (Yes, I realise it is in The Dragon Knight Saga.)

easy, medium, hard, dlc

That's kinda crazy, Metro had no dlc right? Seems like Deep Silver is off to a great start with their new IP's.

Maybe it's just another, play hard to unlock super hard mode, which is also annoying.

Any confirmation on when AoE2 HD will be available for pre-oderers? As the store counting hits 4 days 12 hours, I'm guessing it should be up by 1PM EST tomorrow, hopefully.

I'm super late to respond to these, but catching up in the thread:

I wish someone could explain to me why it's more expensive to buy just a 360 controller on Amazon than it is to buy the PC controller bundle, which is identical but with the additional wireless receiver included (I don't need another one). Amazon's automated pricing engine never made sense to me.

Anyways, has anyone tried those hacked together chatpad drivers yet, specifically with Big Picture? (the newer one which has support for the wireless 360)

Also, that headphone port on the bottom of the 360 -- that doesn't actually do anything on PC does it?
It's not a normal headphone port, it's some kind of weird mini headset port. If you have the 360 headset it -might- work in windows with the wired controller. Wireless, I have no idea if anyone even has a custom solution that works. It might work off the bat. I have a wireless controller, chatpad, and headset, but they're all still sealed in the packages. =P

There's a new chatpad driver for the Wireless 360 controller? Does it also have a deadzone selector for the Analog Inputs?

Some games i've been playing don't have it, and it's driving me crazy.

Where is it?

Edit: wait, am I reading it right? It's not a xinput driver? Bummer if true:

Of course it'll need resoldering. It's a 360 wireless receiver afterall.. :D
Yep, I'm gtschemer replying in that thread. I think there are at least two other projects going on to support wireless controllers. I think at least one of them is using libusb, replacing the existing 360 drivers. The good part about that is, no need to jump through hoops about unsigned drivers. The bad part is, you don't get to keep the existing 360 controller driver functionality. The wired driver I did acted as a filter driver, allowing me to pull data out and put data in a side channel, or just pass it through to the normal driver if I didn't want to mess with or block it (allowing the controller thumbsticks to be toggled between normal functionality and mouse control, for example).

If they end up completely implementing the 360 controller functionality through libusb then it might be great, I just don't know if there are any gotchas about that approach.

Damn that exchange rate... £35 GBP is $50 USD now. There have been better times to be a Steam customer in the UK.

Eh, publishers don't seem to be pricing their games differently in my experience. The best thing right now is that games in the UK, especially PC games, drop in price incredibly quickly. I mean Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 is down to £8! From £25, and that game came out 3 weeks ago.

Wow.. uh. Ranger Mode DLC?

Well funnily this was DLC for the 360 version of the original. Added a higher difficulty (Ranger mode) and 2 extra weapons. Was around £2.50/$4. Must have sold well then.

I am going to visit my dentist next week. I probably wont get a steam card from them :(

All I get is misery, grief and a big bill. I somehow doubt a £15 Steam card would lessen the blow either.

Why are you bored of it?
Did you enjoy the original?
If so what are the differences?
Well it's under NDA so I can't really say much without breaking it. I love CoH1, hell playing 2 makes me want to play 1 more. They just changed a lot of good things from 1 it feels like for the sake of change.

I just installed Ms. Splosion man, and when I launch game I get to the start screen asking me to press enter. Once I do that, a Games for Windows Live screen pops up asking me to either log in or register an account. When I refuse, the game just stays at the start screen.

Why is a Steam game forcing me to make a Live account to play it? My other Steam games just start normally....
