The shortened episode length for this show is perfect since it doesn't waste time, and for a comedy show keeping the laughs coming quickly is the best way to go. Animation and artystyle helps make the show fun to watch, very colorful and over the top, and the OP is pretty crazy. Next week looks nuts. Could do without the CG being used for the water in some scenes but whatever.

Great episode and great start to the series, not enough Kuroneko but it's to be expected of the first episode so oh well.

Devil Survivor 2 the Animation Ep 01
I wasn't expecting Devil Survivor 2 to dive right into the conflict within the first five minute, but what a great way to capture my interest. Not to mention, it's good to see some familiar Persona again or demons...whatever they call them in the Devil Survivor series.

This show really loves its explosions and I'm totally fine with that. The art was fantastic and there was a surprising amount of action. So congratulations Karneval, you have peaked my interest. Unfortunately, I cannot say that about the three other anime below.
Red Data Girl Ep 01
I won't explain why this episode was boring. It just was. I'll give it another episode, but I doubt it'll be any better.

Nothing about this anime stood out to me aside from the amazing Photography club. So as long as the club is the main focus, which I doubt it, I'll continue watching the show.

I didn't find think it was that funny (troubling for what's supposedly a comedy), but there's a weird charm to the patter and the hipbones. Wonderfully animated, too--lots of great cuts; Yoshihara is pretty cool. I'm an expert on this, I watched a video on youtube a year or so ago.
Only quibble:
That weird layering of CG water makes the pier look like it's floating some distance above it.

in the 2nd psp game it's revelead exactly that in kirino route( that's they are not true siblings ). However that's not what you'll get by watching the anime.

Yea I'm not wild about this. There were a lot of quick cuts in the intro that are not really handled that well, a ton of still shots with just wind being animated, the composition is kinda funky at times, the voice acting is just overblown at moments such as the kitchen scene(Eren is annoying as shit although he's annoying in the manga, it's worse when he's voiced by a guy yelling half the time), and they somewhat skipped out on the more gruesome scenes.
That said, there are definitely some beautiful shots in the show especially when it comes to the Move Gear. The black outlines for the characters really make them pop out and the characters in general have some really great facial reactions. The background art for the most part is handled really well except for some obvious bad use of CGI.
The soundtrack seemingly is going to put a big emphasis on vocals which does work to escalate certain scenes. I thought Sawano actually did a decent job.

Well I guess not so much the references maybe but the discussions around them. Like Kuroneko likes whatever show she likes and Kirino likes whatever show it is again that she likes and they argue about why one is superior to the other. It just reminds me of the kind of conversations that go on here about animation versus narrative and CG versus hand drawn and all the things like that.
While I've heard of the shows you mention I often haven't seen them but in the case of Big Bang Theory I've seen a bit of the show now. I think it's kind of funny but I can see what you mean with regards to it's references. At first I kind of thought "Oh that's kind of neat how they mentioned World of WarCraft or Halo or something" but yeah, now it seems like reference just for the sake of references.
What was it again that caused someone to just go nuts and rip up and burn all their OreImo light novels and post pictures of it to the internet on 2ch or something?
I haven't really been up on Pokemon for years so is that supposed to be some form of evolved MewTwo or something?
They kinda fucked the final scene up and there are a ton of static shots.

Last few minutes of freedom gundam being all epic and awesome wielding tons of guns and laser was really so far one of the highlights of the whole anime. Wanted to rewatch it again and again.

Changes my whole view on some characters in the Natural's forces. To think they'd sacrifice everybody their using microwaves (and so brutal) too was just unbelievable. This gundam has been a bit on the intense side in terms of things shown, people bursting in blood, then reminded me of the stuff on Junius Seven.

Athrun needs similar moments but it feels like they keep setting him up for some tragic end or something as all these bad events upon bad events land on him, and now Lacus thing.

See, that felt a lot more honest in Genshiken than it ever did in OreImo. Heck, even the nearly all female-cast of Genshiken: TNG feels more genuine than the cast of OreImo, and the whole "let's have girls joke about BL" thing is anathema to me now.
Maybe I'm just old and grumpy about these things. People still seem to like Community and, specifically, Abed being all Abed-ey. lol

Just as funny as the manga which I read first some time ago. Looks really clean and really like the VA so far. Akutabe is even more awesome in the anime.
