Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
I know it can't be seen through YouTube videos, but it seems too smooth to be just 30fps. We need someone good enough at judging framerates that tried the game. Anyone good enough, come here and enligthen us!

I don't know which video I'm watching, but I hear classic ALTTP boss music.

Nitpicking about graphical details is pretty pointless, because the graphics are lightly to be polished a lot more before release.

I'm saying what's there now, and the transition from morphing back into 3D doesn't look as good as the transition of morphing into a drawing.

That dungeon looks really good.

Heh, and people were complaining that Link looked slower in this game. He's a lot faster than he was in ALttP.

Always the (slim) chance we'll get a teaser demo at E3.

Maybe, I wouldn't be shocked if Nintendo put a Wind Waker HD demo on the Wii U eShop since that's not new game but a remake, with new Zelda games I don't know if Nintendo would be willing to put a demo.

Man looking at the playthrough of the dungeon makes me want 2D Zelda never to go away.

That takes you to the past!

3 days in the past for the matter fact, still good because than you could of stopped the Boston Marathon attack.

It's possible they could add an animation, but I wonder if they refrained in order to return the player's control over Link without any delay. They may have thought an additional animation would slow down the game's pace.

Hopefully, you can upgrade your stamina meter in this game. That was missing from SS. Hmmmmmmm....

Gotta say that after much back and forth, I'm really excited about this game, dudes! This is the first 2D Zelda in almost a decade! I just hope ALttP 2 keeps the arcade-y style of ALttP for the SNES, but it already seems to be more puzzle-focused. I liked how ALttP had little focus on puzzles, and the dungeons were mostly endurance runs throw rooms of enemies. The dungeons were more maze-like and since there was hardly a focus on puzzles to slow the pace down, ALttP has probably the highest replay value in the series.

That's something that was the most prevalent with the 3d games. The puzzle focus, I mean.

Yea, that thought occurred to me too, but they could have everything freeze the moment you turn back into 3D.

Looks awesome, glad to see everyone seeing the light of how good this looks. I'm happy we're finally getting a traditional Zelda after years without one, and that dungeon design seriously impressed me, there's so much going on between the 12 floors, sifting through the walls as a painting, etc. Looks absolutely fantastic.

Holy shit, I know I said I would be avoiding the thread but I just watched a few gameplay videos, the game looks so so smooth and the dungeon design seems to be amazing with the different mechanics in place!

Someone stop me from getting this hyped so far from the game's release date!

It's such a weird yet amazing logic that Nintendo needed to make a top-down 2D game to showcase the best use of 3D.

Wow, arrows are unlimited now, and deplete the stamina meter instead of arrows. The hammer and merge ability also use stamina, which replenishes in a matter of seconds.

The wall picture traveling power doesn't seem to be limited in its use what so ever. No specific "use powers here" spots like you might have for a hookshot. That's pretty exciting. That means they can hid stuff all over the place and you'd be none the wiser.

Plus I wonder how restrictive the game is about falling. When Link falls on the outside of that dungeon can he land on those blocks levels below? Or will he be reset on the current level.

Plus plus, that's some classic handheld dungeon design and layout.

You fall to the level below. The footage showed some areas where you needed to get access to an area by climbing the upper level and dropping down to the floor below to access the room.

Thank goodness we can have two items equipped at one time. Also, that's a lot of money they're letting Link cart around - I wonder if that's just for the demo (if I recall correctly, LttP let you hold a lot of money from the beginning).

Based on the button configuration, I'm assuming one shoulder button is for the shield and holding the other will initiate the strafe?

Man, the gameplay in the Sessler video was just awesome looking. Very fluid and fast paced which he also commented on. Also noted how good the lighting and textures looked in the parts especially when he becomes a drawing and is moving around the blocks.

ffffffffffuuuuuuuu

Yeah, LttP had a 999 cap from the start. No damn stinking wallet upgrades.

It seems that way, he doesn't roll around like in Minish Cap.

i think shield is auto
EDIT: nevermind, must be R or something, GamesRadar have a preview of it

they should change shield to R instead of autoshield, L for turning into paper link, B for sword, X+Y items and A open doors/roll/pick up shit

These hands on videos are way more impressive than the trailer was. I was worried about the speediness of the game from the trailers, but all the hands on stuff looks good.

So hyped.

Bombs and arrows were also unlimited in the Skyward Sword demo as well. I'm sure the final product will limit your arrows.

In 3D Zelda games, don't you strafe while using the shield? I imagine it will be the same here.

Speculation:

There will be online functions - maybe even co-op

How do you think they'll do it?

Not quite sure, but maybe a separate dungeon-rush mode with up to 4 players? Maybe with random generated rooms like Binding Of Isaac?

If they can implement a compelling MP mode into a Luigi's Mansion game, then MP in a Zelda game is a no brainer

That would be awesome. Online is a must.
