Emily Rogers: Good E3 for Wii U, owning both Wii U and 3DS beneficial in the future.

Yeah, she said that we will have good E3 for Wii U which is very predictable because we are getting news on Mario 3D, Mario Kart, SSB4 and many more. I lost track of what else she said about Wii U/E3.

Did you real all her tweets?

P.S I talk to Emily Rogers.

I don't understand why people are labeling her gifting/3ds-wii u vc rumors as E3 rumors.

Since when does Nintendo announce firmware updates at E3. Seems like a Nintendo Direct thing.

I'm glad I amuse you and not the comically inaccurate rumour-monger and attention whore whom this thread is dedicated to; at least this way you're getting something more out of this topic than just hot air.

I'd rather have hot air than your ... nonsense.

Also i know Emily. She has legit sources. Wether anyone believes me, well... I don't care.

Can Emily Rogers please DM me who her source is? I'm a highly respected NeoGAF member. Wait I think I have to insult her first.

Don't get me wrong. I'm just saying that it's predictable that we will have good Nintendo E3 (Wii U) this year based on what we know.

I don't think she said it as a rumor. She just said it just to say she thinks it will be a good E3. I think people look too deep into every single thing she writes.

Pretty much. Thread title can be dodgy deception for people who didn't read the twitters, and she said that she believe that we will get good E3 for Wii U.

Yeah, every time she is specific, she is dead wrong. When she is incredibly vague (ho ho, Ubisoft would like to support the launch!), she can be considered kind of right. Sometimes.

If she wants to be taken seriously, she needs to say "GTAV will be exclusive to Wii U" and have it bear out. Or "you will be able to transfer games from 3DS to Wii U." Anybody can say "Nintendo will release features in a future firmware update that people want."

Nintendo cycle.

1. Release good games, make consumers happy.

\/

2. Become arrogant, popular/successful/print money, produce bare minimum products to satisfy fanboys.

\/

3. Lose popularity because of "crappy", phoned in casual games nobody wants. Become irrelevant.

\/

4. Panic mode Nintendo, forced to make an effort and produce games that people actually want. Gamers rejoice.

\/

Back to step one.

I loved Nintendo in the NES, SNES days, mostly because they were probable always in kind of a panic mode as the games business wasn't so big back then so they had to fight to make their name. They had to prove themselves as the gaming standard. But once they became a household name, they have become too comfortable with their successful brand name.

But at least we get some good games every Nintendo cycle.

It's like a source circlejerk in here.

"I have the source!"

"No, -I- have the source!"

"I'm the sourciest source!"

Nobody thinks to actually ask the companies involved

You know what? Normally I don't think I'd believe this. Emily has a bit of a spotty track record, and I had told myself I wouldn't get hyped up for this E3. Not after last year.

However, if Alberto is saying that her sources are correct, I think maybe I'll take a leap of faith on this one. I already know that Mario and Smash Bros will be there, so there's NO WAY it could turn out to be as bad as last year.

Right?

Well, he didn't said that. He knew who is the source and he have heard of him but he have a benefit of doubt, IIRC. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Right. It won't be as bad as last year. However, will we see something unexpected? That I am no confident of.

Let me tell you if I had sources I wouldn't post about them or tweet them. I'd just say TELL ME WHAT THE FUCK RETRO IS WORKING ON ALREADY!!!!!

Then once I knew I'd be quiet and content.

Seriously Nintendo runs so tight ship with their gaming companies that I'd seriously doubt if anyone said they had "sources" there.

Her being in regular contact and sharing sources with members here does nothing to add value to her position

Currently polling second in Australia's federal election (first in the Gold Coast), this feral may one day be your Bogan King.
These days her Nintendo sources are generally accurate and reliable. I cannot speak of her history (which is chequered to say in the least), and can appreciate people not trusting her for this reason. But when she speaks of something related to Nintendo in this day and age, I am confident that the information she is receiving is very reliable.

I will say though that typically with all things Nintendo people tend to inflate gossip and rumours far beyond reasonable expectations, constructing fantasy scenarios in their head, then blame the rumour source for their own disappointment.

Reading the tweets in the op, I feel Emily is saying that:
1) She thinks the E3 line-up will be good.
2) Nintendo will be putting resources into making sure Wii U VC is up to scratch.
3) Owning both a Wii U and 3DS may be beneficial.

And from this I can derive:
1) This is fairly obvious to anybody following Nintendo. We're getting info on Smash, 3D Mario, and Mario Kart alone. That is awesome as it is. We're also likely to see Bayonetta 2 for the first time, and possibly more of X. Throw in Yarn Yoshi, and it's great. That makes it a good line-up.
2) Not surprising. Nintendo knows people will buy VC games, and have already shown they're responsive to requests (see: Earthbound). I expect that service to grown.
3) See point No.2. VC games on both Wii U and 3DS would be fairly easy to do, and great for owners of both Wii U and 3DS hardware. If this isn't it, it wouldn't be overly surprising to see Nintendo try to do something with 3DS / Wii U connectivity.

Yet some people will read the tweets and see:
1) Amazing third party exclusives. Secret Nintendo titles yet to be announced on top of the ones we know. Retro: Game Changer. GTAV timed exclusive. Free blowjobs.
2) Virtual Console games to be remade in full HD and given away for free, with the blowjobs.
3) 3DS usable as Nintendo GamePad despite lack of buttons and function. All Wii U digital games transferable and playable on 3DS, irrespective of processing limitations. Magic is real. Free unicorn (blowjobs).

Nailed it, even the free blowjobs part (and unicorn lol).

EDIT:
In fact, it would be useful to have this in the OP.

I would be happy if an ambassador program was just that your Wii vc games transferred to the Wii u vc releases. It should happen anyway. As it is now, I don't want to pay anything for old games. I've played them all anyway. Except super metroid.

I agree, but these points are so mundane, vague, and obvious that I wonder what the point of even posting them is. The only answer that makes sense is to get attention, hoping that people will work themselves into a frenzy over them.

people expect Nintendo to break the bank every month, and recreate their childhoods but with the added bonus of being an adult and having sex...and those kinda tweets make the situation worse.

I think to be honest predicting any sort of 3DS/Wii U connectivity is obvious, Nintendo have had some form of connectivity between their handhelds and consoles since they started making handhelds and consoles.

It's even more likely to me than her "Metroid on 3DS [spoiiler]at some point[/spoiler]" comments.

This is basically all I saw.
Just obvious comments and non-news that will only excite certain types of people.

Rumors aren't as exciting when you stop making them up.

Because Emily does have reliable sources connected to Nintendo and may have been told something cool regarding online/VC stuff. Twitter is like the ultimate dumping ground for all kinds of pointless shit. Rogers, like so many other people, tweets many times a day about all kinds of Nintendo things. Some gossip. Some rumours. Some her own opinions. She has a lot of follows, she's communicating with them, just as thousands of other online identities do.

I blame Emily less for her tweets than I do people who take them and run wild. Especially with Nintendo. I've long felt a Nintendo fan's worst enemy is other Nintendo fans, because they really are the absolute worst when it comes to overhyping and reaching speculation, right down to downright lies and blatant, embarrassing stupidity. Hell, you could argue Emily herself is guilty of falling into some of these categories based on shit she's said previous years.

My thumb rule is to take all gossip/rumours/teases with face value, and try not to extrapolate too much. Especially when it comes to Twitter, where miscommunication is all too easy.

I agree (again. plesae, stop being so reasonable about Nintendo!) and I agree also about your interpretation of her tweets.
E3 Wii U lineup is good simply presenting and showing already (pre)announced games. they should really fuck everything up to disappoint again (three times in a row?! with all the delays Wii U software is facing? with all the silence about Wii U due to the deleted march Direct?); VC will start for real tomorrow, and it will grow; probably they'll try to unify the VC purchases among Wii U and 3DS.

that's all. and not bad.

And what is it that we really 'know'?

Nintendo's EAD Tokyo groups' 3D Wii U specific Mario, SDG1's Wii U specific Mario Kart, and Nintendo+Namco's Wii U specific Super Smash Bros, will all be formally revealed at E3. Nintendo has confirmed this.

The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD will be all accounts be there. As will A Link to the Past II. Bayonetta 2 is expected to be there, given Nintendo continually teases its development but refuses to show it. Yarn Yoshi should also be expected to appear, given they've already shown screenshots.

If we're lucky, X will be there too.

Have they? I mean they did say they were playable at E3 but I felt it was more like them emphasizing the fact that these are near future titles. I'm almost expecting a May Direct reveal.

I feel like she's just now hearing about SSB 3ds and Wiiu versions and thought that it was supposed to be some kind of top secret.
