I actually don't mind Minette at all, in fact she's pretty adorable. I just like other characters more than her.
If she wins, I'll just fight harder for Beowulf/Isacc/Eliza/Stanley next round. No biggie.

I really want to see Beowolf to get in. If it didn't happens then I really hope to see Skullgirls 2 with Beowulf, Isaac, Eliza, and anything bonus.

I think most people actually like Minette quite a bit. Maybe they don't vote for her necessarily, but I doubt anyone would have a problem with her winning. She's not a terribly polarizing character, unlike some of the others which even Mike Z said would be kinda strange to design (such as Aeon, which I actually think will get spite votes just to force Mike to design a character he sees as unfair, fairly).

I do agree that sweet Christmas would Aeon make a great boss. A time freeze or something where you're frozen for like 5 seconds and she's just allowed to go bear-serk on you would be great.

Who's delusional? I've noticed tons of people hoping for Eliza, but betting on Annie, and vice versa - in this thread, even.

There's just as much proof of a 'dedicated fanbase' that is the 'largest by far' for Minette as there is for any of the other top four. Which is to say not much proof at all. Ravid already went on record saying the top two out of five of round sixteen were within fifty votes of each other, and first place 'wasn't far ahead'. It's possible that more run-off voters went with Minette in lieu of their favoured character, but it's... just as possible that they went with, say, Aeon. Either way, going by how close Ravid made everything sound, if there's any winner, it's not because one character's ranks mysteriously and massively swelled after round two.

As an aside, I'll only be a little salty if Minette wins. I actually like how she sounds, and her character design is nice - I just want a few other characters before her. The only character that I'd be disappointed with (slightly, anyways) is Aeon.

Sure I'll be salty. I want Annie to be in. That said, if MikeZ can make a powerup character fun to play...like Order Sol, I'll be good. I'm not to fond of Frank West, even if I did use his cheap ass.

Out of the 4 we have, she's the last I would pick.

If Aeon got in I wouldn't mind, as it would let me scream 'DIOOOOOOOOO' every time I lost against her.

Now that I'm thinking about it, if Aeon is the one picked please please pleeeease let her say "Muda muda muda!!!" for her time super.

I like Eliza's design and the ideas behind her... but I REALLY WANT ANNIE

Yeah, to be perfectly honest I'm not a huge fan of Aeon, not because she doesn't sound cool, but because she doesn't sound like a character that should be fair. She's the Galactus of the Skullgirls universe.

Moonlight, I didn't know he said that first place wasn't far ahead in the top eight. He seemed to imply that first was farther ahead considerably in that round.

Though at this point it does seem like Peter is saying that the current favorite is far ahead, so I guess we'll see how that turns out.

Aeon should be the LAST character added simply due to the nature of her techniques. Wouldn't Lab Zero much prefer to be able to pull from an already existing database of character frames to give her the greatest variety in characters/alternate forms instead of either limiting themselves to existing rosters or having to create all new frames for characters which might not be made for years?

Holy run on Batman.

Yep, in this thread, even.

Point remains, any character could have the 'mysterious fanbase larger than it appears' and there's been very, very little to imply which character it is - we'll only know for sure once both votes are done.

Once again, great work on those Palettes, Koo. Should of made a "Roll" when I tested out that "Annie" Palette for her, great idea! Kinda wanna make an Edward (Cowboy Bebop) or Merle (Escaflowne) for her now, haha...

That'd kinda lessen the impact of her style, though. One of the cool things about her is that she can show us things we haven't seen; if she mostly pulls from things we've already seen, then a lot of it will feel more like retread, rather than if she were made now.

The only person I'd be salty about winning right now is really Annie. Story, Move wise, she'd be great, but gameplay / creativity wise, she sounds like the most straight-forward of the 4.

I think I totally ruined any interest in her I had, with the "What if she had Haouhmaru moves" discussion from the other night.

But if one keeps in mind that we're still getting Robo Fortune, Big Band, and Squigs, it makes any not-as-well-liked winners easier to swallow.

Not around to rally enough support for Aeon before the vote.

Didn't get to post my thoughts on the supposed new voting format for the 2nd poll (like it)

Well I'm back now. And as soon as the next character vote begins, it's all Beowulf, all the time. Nothing stops that Beowulf train

Strangely enough I don't really disagree with this sentiment. There are some cool people in the FGC, but there are some genuinely bad people too (though maybe what makes them bad is their own inability to check themselves).
