This is great, John Stewart does this often, but I only catch it on the internet.

Need to go back to watching him and Colbert more often on the TV.

It's sad now that this dude (or the people involved with the show, too) is conducting journalism practices better than the fools at Fox News.

They always have. why do you think the news companies immediately framed the Daily Show as "fake news" when it started killing everything in the ratings? Most news shows are classified as news and information entertainment shows. And here comes an actual entertainment show that just uses real news as source material for ironic comedy, and it's "fake news". Totally missing the point.

But that isn't surprising.

Doesn't Fox call their prime time lineup opinion pieces when they start getting serious heat? I think MSNBC does as well with Maddow etc.

You don't have to take it seriously, but I think they're saying it's the equivalent of making a post only saying "Cool story bro"

Edit: If that's indeed why the people in this thread got banned for. Haven't looked in their history to get an idea.

I don't know where you're getting that idea, when several people who have said something along those lines are not banned. What is banworthy is making meta commentary posts about the posting habits of other posters, or responding to posts they made in another thread in a thread they haven't even posted in yet.

There's no way Anne Coulter actually believes the shit she says. She's just a totally immoral self-serving woman with enough business savvy to know how to push the buttons of the mouth breathing fucking shitbiscuits that actually agree with the kind of bile she spouts.

I need to believe this so I don't lose my fucking mind.

Not that hard to believe; the woman has books to sell. She understands the only way for her to remain in the public consciousness is to say outrageous things on TV and sell books to narrowminded racists, riding the backlash and laughing all the way to the bank. She's Alex Jones without the fist pounding and super saiyan transformation.

Pretty much, yeah. I'm less sure about Glenn Beck. I think he might actually be unbalanced enough to legitimately believe a good portion of what he says.

I consider myself a liberal. I think Fox News is a joke and an embarrassment. But has Stewart ever done the same treatment for some of the garbage that's on MSNBC? Just as embarrassing IMO.

I think he usually points out the msnbc gaffes. Fox is a comedy gold mine though so it it's not surprising that it overshadows

He's gone in on them and CNN quite a bit over the years, but low hanging fruit and all.

Yes, he has. It can be bad, but its not as consistently cringe-worthy as the stuff FOX puts out on a regular basis.
