Hey I have the utmost respect for indie developers. I just found it weird that they're basically his job and he plans to take days off to interact with them even more. It's cool and all. Like I said I appreciate his passion.

It'd be a more safe financially to put it on Vita than PS4 due to development costs imo.

Oh crap, I forgot that some of that happened there, I keep wondering when the next Leeds product will be since they've been quiet since GTA Chinatown (they also helped port LA Noire to PC.) I've really liked that studio since it was Mobius, I hope it still is capable of being the ace backup-team that it has quietly been all this time.
I know some of its ex-pats founded Double 11 (which has been working on Vita stuff primarily) and Activision Leeds (a mobile studio that made the Pitfall ever-runner,) maybe there are others as I know most of the founders have bounced around. Not sure what's left of the RS Leeds studio but I hope it has life still, Rockstar could use a group that can play around with ideas like Rockstar Table Tennis or Beaterator or stuff off the 'AAAA' path.
...I don't see it being conceivable with the demographics against it, but I wouldn't mind sharing a GTA: San Andreas Stories with 3DS (assuming they put RE:R levels of effort into the 3DS engine, not Lego City effort, and also assuming the Vita graphics had some extra kick even if it was as a lesser engine than the system were capable of) if that were the only way it could be justified.

Look at the best selling franchises on the PSP and bring 'em to the Vita in form of exclusiv games, not ports.

I don't think anyone is "expecting" anything.
But I would guess the relationship with Mark Cerny and the creator of Shenmue give some people a tiny little bit of hope.

Don't know what Shemeu is, or what canided means. Though, the X-Box got Shenmue II in the states.

Im not sure what you found dumb, but he is pretty much always talking to developers, seems like he is using it as a tool for his job.
I have been thinking about it, and I still dont think its from a Euro dev/Publisher because of the email thing it just does not make sense. I dont think its from Japan either, but I guess if it turns out true that Sony, and SE partnering up it could be something from SE maybe.
If its from the US my main two guesse is that Sony was actually able to secure Bioshock, Levinie himself wanted to do it, so maybe Sony was able to convince 2k, or we could be getting another Original Call Of Duty.
Obviously its difficult to guess because its not indie, its not a port, and they have a partner involved.

Why do I have a feeling that this coming week is going to be awesome? Not that I think we will get the answer to this question, but I just have a feeling that starting this next week we are in for a firestorm of news all the way up until E3. Hope a fair bit of that is Vita news.
I wonder.....maybe either Yakuza 1 and 2 HD or maybe even Yakuza 5 are getting ported to the Vita? Sega hasn't had much faith in that series selling well in the West, so maybe they're thinking if its not gonna post huge numbers and its more niche..may as well stick it on the niche handheld with the lower installed base. And they've pushed digital PSN downloads big time with Vita so if you think about it that possibility makes sense. I couldn't figure out what in the world it could be till I thought of that.
The issue is that those would be ports, and he already confirmed the game is not a port.
I dont know how the Yakuza Black Panther PSP games did, but even if it was a sequel to those Im not sure how many would consider Yakuza a big title outside of Japan no matter how much I love the series.

I read through the last few pages (fast reader) and caught that bit, so sorry about that! I'd still like to see Sega do something along those lines..1and 2 HD, 5, the Panther games or even Kenzan. But my apologies for fueling the hype train before having read the last few pages
GT6 alone will already make it awesome.
But yeah, I get how you feel, it already feels like the first bursts after the calm before the storm. I can't imagine how it will be during E3 week.

I really hope Sony does this! I would love a JRPG from them especially on teh Vita, and GG is rumored to be working an ARPG. Also there were a couple of TM listings that sound like they could be RPGs from Sony one of which was from the Japan side if I am not mistaken, so there is hope.-

Guacamelee and Hotline Miami may be great titles, but no one's going to run out and buy a Vita just to play them. The indie market should be auxiliary to a mainstream core, not the end-all-be-all of your $250 device.
You need GTA, you hear? And it needs to have some sort of connectivity with GTA 5 on PS3. This year will be the year of Grand Theft Auto, not Gran Turismo.
