What games would you like to see on a portable system?

I know port-begging is an offense on GAF, but a lot of times I play games on PC or console and think 'man, I'd kill to play this on my Vita/3DS!' Something about in-depth RPGs especially really suits portables I think, and some games I'd really like to have an on-the-go version of. For example:

1. X-Com Enemy Unknown
I know there's an IOS version coming out, but man would this rule on Vita. I'd log another 30 hours EASILY.

2. Paper Mario
I love the Mario and Luigi games, but I'd freak out for a proper Paper Mario on 3DS. Something like the GameCube game. I know they released one, but the changes to the systems didn't appeal to me.

3. Shining Force 3
My favorite Saturn game, and one of my top games ever. Still so unique, and no real way to play it without emulation. I wish they'd make a version for portables.

4. Dark/Demon's Souls
As much time as this game takes, a Vita version would be insanely awesome. Do it!

And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?
I always wanted Dark Souls to be on the PSP :(

This, plus:

Alien Homind, would be great with the vita screen and d-pad, from the Castle Crasher guys.

A Reckless Disregard For Gravity (or the sequel actually). [but on vita so I can look around properly and have more pc-like control]

Minecraft
Sonic Generations PC/PS360 port
Batman (proper like AC)/Infamous/SR4 Vita
Dogfighting game (planes)
Dyad, Bionic Commando Rearmed

Those games especially but most games really. Of course a new upgraded GTA too.

Skate on Vita.

Definitely.

I actually think Dark Souls would make a great handheld game. I play the game incessantly, but usually in pretty short bursts due to the death/repeat structure. Seems like a perfect fit for Vita.

Also, FTL. That has to be coming, right?

Ask me about the moon landing or the temperature at which jet fuel burns. You may be surprised at what you learn.
2D Metroid on 3DS.

pls Nintendo

Oh, and a port of the original Okami on Vita would be great. I keep meaning to go back to that game (got about 10 hours in) and a portable version would be lovely.

Vita:

GTA
Resident Evil 4
Resident Evil Revelations
A good FPS
Fallout
A good Dungeon Crawler
God of War
Shadow of the Colossus (you can remote play it but it's not the same)

Civ V, while great, is impossible. Game barely handles what it can throw at you with high-end PC processors. For it to be on Vita it would have to be dumbed down to all hell.

Right answer is 2.5D Metroid on 3DS.

I'd like to see point and click games such as Sam & Max. There are some for 3DS, but they are mostly survival type first person view games in the spirit of Myst and such.

Complete Zelda 3D Collection on 3DS.

Majora's Mask(Using OoT3D engine), Windwaker, and Twilight Princess on a portable would be wonderful. OoT on the go has spoiled me.

Included would be "3D Classics" versions of all the sprite based games meaning Minish Cap, Link to the Past, Oracle of Seasons/Ages, Links Awakening, Zelda I + II, and 4 Swords.

For some reason the 3D effect works great on sprite based 2D games. After playing the 3D Classic Kid Icarus and then playing Minish Cap on my 3DS through the Ambassador Program I felt the 3D effect would do wonders for the game.

Maybe a updated(graphically speaking) version of Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks as well.

I'd pay console price for a collection like this on the 3DS.

Age of Empires, I'm real talk here, and yes, I know that spin off for the DS, but an actual RTS for the go will be glorious.

Mothership titles in the Tales series that aren't outsourced to some crummy developer. Also, ports of Destiny R/Rebirth so we get another chance at having them in English.

I'd be very interested to see a mainline Final Fantasy game end up on a portable. Maybe it would force SE to cut out the fat, go back to the series' roots, and make a great jrpg once again. I feel like FF games are drowning in bad dialogue, long cut scenes, and even longer cg scenes these days. Its all flash and no substance. Maybe a handheld entry could change that.

Yeah I like this idea.

Final Fantasy Type-0 showed us that SE won't remove that, even on a handheld. Type-0 is supposedly the best Final Fantasy the company has made in years, but hey we're never playing it in North America.

I used to have Age of Empires 1 and 2 on my old Windows Mobile PDA (yes, it was so long ago). They were seemingly the full featured PC games on a handheld device. It blew my mind back then. I wish Ensemble was still around so we could get an iPad/iPod/3DS/Vita port. :'(

Souls game on Vita, my brain would not be able to compute the news and explode.
Could this ever happen? Like, 1% of possibility?

New Maximo
New Heavenly Sword
A new Lair..yes Lair or at least a game like it. I think if they can make it work such a game would be suitable for a handheld like vita. But they will probably have to name it something else just to avoid the stigma attached to it
X-Com
A god Hand sequel where you can use the vita touch screen to scroll through the attack list to select the special move
A remake/sequel for Citizen Kabuto
Brave Fencer Musashi sequel

I just want the 3DS to continue down the path it's going without console ports and providing experiences that I can't get on consoles or PC.

A strategy RPG based on a new IP would be a delightful surprise for me though. I'd love some of that. Or a new Advance Wars.

I agree to be honest, any techy game would be a bit of a waste on 3DS.

-good picks below from Strike.
