Mario and Retro's game sound too good to be really true.

The rest seems so reasonable that it sounds like an attempt to seem legit in comparison.

For Mariokart I kind-of expect something like that and I'd be perfectly fine with it although i'm sure they will throw in some kind of new 'mechanic' like always.

We'll see soon enough I guess :p

Since when have rumor threads ever gotten banned on GAF?

No idea, I rarely go in them, but I don't think this even qualifies as a rumor. There's 0% chance the poster is an insider, he will get the obvious things right but anyone here could have written that. The Statropics stuff isn't even original, it has been mentioned dozens of times in Retro topics.

Lol that Star Tropics part of this ruined all credibility. Too bad, but guess we'll find out pretty soon anyways. Soo hyped for june 11th!

You're absolutely right. So just wait and savor when someone inevitably rebumps this thread and he is banned.

There is no goddamned way StarTropics is coming back. This is a game in which you play the beloved, featureless character "Mike" and attempt to find your uncle "Dr. J" while using a yo-yo to do nothing of any real consequence. Also has everyone forgotten Zoda's Revenge? The one where you save a guy named "Hirocon Tetris?"

Not exactly much to work with there.
Retro.

Sounds pretty safe for the most part, but if he's right about Star Tropics and Mario Retroverse we're in for a treat!

Dude is not banned^^

Yes. Gamepad for example. Or 1 GB reserved for OS. 3DS XL. And more.

I don't recall them having any leaks related to their big games though, at least recently. Hardware almost always leaks in some form since so many people have their hands on it.

The first post was vague enough to honestly be something anyone could muster up, with little nuggets of specifics thrown in to make it seem more legit such as weirdly specific knowledge of planned release windows for some games . The second post, goes straight into unbelievable ville or rather, nothing there seems like anything I haven't heard dreamed about by Nintendo fans recently. I'm also having trouble believing anyone would know this much across the board, like one or two things perhaps but not "everything nintendo has planned for e3".

I can't even count the number of insiders this board has anymore.

Also, the information in the post is vague enough for the poster to claim that he is right, even if he is BSing.

Yep this is what I feel. Count me in as one of the few ST fans that wouldn't mind seeing a reboot of the game.

"And I would've gotten away with it too, if it weren't for you pesky Gaffers!"

Sounds a lot like he's hinting at the Mario title being Super Mario Universe.

Get it guys? U-niverse? Because its on the Wii U? Man, sometimes those guys at Nintendo outdo themselves in the creativity department! Just stick a U at the end of every first party title name! INGENIUS!

How can they prove him right or wrong, though?

Simple, this kinda stuff HAS happened before.

He can prove his identity and relation to the information to a mod and the mod simply gives the thumbs up to the rest of us.

I mean, if he is in anyway officially connected to the stuff going on with E3 it wouldn't be hard to prove that to someone as long as his I.D stays hidden from the rest of the world.

DKC Returns was. Super Luigi U as a retail title. Don´t remember more but I guess there was^^. But yeah, not much.

Complete bullshit and fan fiction. You don't debate in May 2013 whether something is a Thanksgiving or Christmas launch in 2014. In fact, you have no fucking clue yet, one and a half years of development is really unpredictable. Also, 'Retroverse U'? Hahahahahaha (catches breath) ahahahahahahahahaha.

I dont want Nintendo to get on this shitty trend of games playing themselves, so a Star Tropics like Uncharted/Tomb Raider would be terrible imo - not that they are bad games, but there are already tons of games like that.

No, make it a modern game with Zelda-like gameplay, that is light action, exploring and deep puzzles, all in a wind wakery tropical island paradise with some crazy consiprazy/alien-plot and it will be awesome!

Oh, and shouldnt we get an official Nintendo E3-thread soon? Where we can discuss all this stuff, post gifs and make hype trains?

IdeaMan

My source is my ass!
Ideaman all over again, let's hope GAF learns this time.

Learn what ? Don't re-write the history to fit your pitiful grudge you want to settle with me since one year (i warmly encourage folks here to do a simple research using kandinsky + ideaman, or skiesofwonder + ideaman, it's very telling). By the way, i think this defamatory attitude/long-term unwarranted troll mode is a form of harassment, so i hope it won't remain unpunished.

There are three different assessments that i've made, publicly available on past threads where you can read that 95% of the stuff i've said has been confirmed, with some very specific points that have been met with dozen of pages of circumspection at the time (like the memory breakdown with 1GB for games, 1GB for OS). I won't re-do the list, but between all this OS story, the double DRC support, the myriad of details on the dev kit (for example the V1 using a wii classic controller connected through an adapter, confirmed in multiples news weeks or months after by vgleaks), the reveal (in text as i was grilled by the photo leak, but any mod can confirm through my private messages that i've detailed it to several persons like lherre months before) of the updated gamepad with the exact location of elements such as the NFC sensor or TV button, the no system redesign, the 720p machine, the use of nintendo characters in scribblenauts, the announce of a "branded next-gen" third-party title (that most have guessed) being developed on Wii U before its proper reveal, most of the OS features described, etc etc. Even the Rayman legends leak, when you factually remember the events, you had the image leaks, and i've given details on how it will be a wii u title and the team behind it before it was revealed by the press a day or so after. Phew. Oh and the 512MB of a specific NAND flash memory, different from the storage, confirmed months after by vgleaks then months after again by the teardowns (yes, it's totally "vague" isn't it ? i could have totally "made that up", isn't it ?).

And it's not finished as i've planted "silent bomb" here and there that will be confirmed come E3.

This revisionism that sprout gratuitously from time to time, from the same 2 or 3 bitter-mens, is somewhat amusing :)

Btw, we need Ideaman in here.

I'm still here :)

it's an old Nintendo IP that people have wanted them to do for a while, but no one thought they had the guts to do it-but they did. I'm very happy with the one they chose to do. It'll definitely fall into that "Wooooo helllll yeah!!!" category for a vast majority I think. Trailer set to be shown at the Direct.
Start Tropics 3 mother fuckers!!!

Well it's not quite an embarrassing an idea as 'F-Zero as Mass Effect but with added racing'.

I'll never know why that fan-fiction nightmare gained so much traction.

I've never heard of that, but I actually like it.

Throw in an all-racing arcade mode and baby, you've got a stew goin.
