The Dota 2 fanbase is much more aggressive about art style consistancy. Also being the makers of the first items to visibly promote some other property would probably just cause a flame war on the workshop pages. It would be smart to avoid it and just go for couriers or announcers, even huds.

Yeah, I'm one of those folks. Issac was doing better than Beo in the first vote, but I guess people thought only a normal dude bro could win as time went on.

It seems more that while Issac is loved a lot by the majority of the fanbase, he isn't the number one fav' of most of them and so got dropped by more and more people as the rounds went on.

I don't think so. There wasn't really any reason to congregate to Beowulf with the ranking system that vote #2 had. (short of feeling "forced" to rank him at number one, but that's just a poor understanding of the voting system).

It's simple; Beowulf won because he was ranked higher on more people's lists (not necessarily #1 on those lists, just ranked higher) than any other character, and thus was the best overall choice based on everyone's preferences.

Personally I think I had him ranked 4th in my list in the last round, which means my vote probably ended up counting for him too. Which is okay! Because it means my first 3 choices were already out anyways. This way my vote could actually count towards a character I like 4th best, rather than counting for nothing (I.E. an eliminated character/character with no chance of winning based on support).

Seems like the thread is dying, it was really fun guys. I hope to see ALL of you playing the PC version when it comes out.

The character I wanted didn't end up winning(I think everyone knows which they are).... but I love this game and I hope it does well enough so I can see them eventually in the game.

Glad to see I won bronze. If I were to wax nostalgic about the campaign, I'd say that I can't help but feel a bit disheartened that both of the characters that made it in, well, weren't exactly to my preference; but the campaign experience was great fun all the same. Was definitely a ride, at least. And while I can't celebrate the new characters, I can at least celebrate the game proper and the level of visibility to it the campaign drew.

See y'all in earnest when the Steam release happens. And #TeamAnnie will not rest!

Wasn't sure where to put this, but felt it was most appropriate going here, since it feels more related to the events of the campaign more than the game proper. Anyways, for all my fellow Jujubros out there, it looks like her bizarre legal adventure has finally come to a close. Cee, for those who don't know, being her 'creator' (for lack of a better term) and the one that Lab Zero dealt with in making her an 'official' character. And from the sounds of it, she's entirely signed onto Lab Zero.

I think it's a shame it couldn't happen in time for the second vote, regardless of how likely or unlikely her survival would have been (and I can't imagine she would have come even close to winning), and I'm still sour that Cee's irresponsibility kept the process from being expedited, but... it's just nice to hear that she's unquestionably property of Lab Zero now, and an official cast member, no matter how minor. And hey, it leaves her as an option for the future, at least.

I wonder if I can just write every character concept I can come up with on the SG Facebook wall and if they do anything that remotely resembles one of them I can claim ownership of it and cause unnecessary legal headaches to the staff. That would be pretty funny.

So the new DLC colours are really sweet. I really like Jessica Rabbit Parasoul and pink Double (because the transparent skin effect is really cool).

I didn't really like Juju much so I never followed what all the legal drama was surrounding her, but what was it all about? Based off someone else's design?
