Had an idea due to that Ubisoft thread that I'm not sure whether has been suggested, but has anybody tried reaching out to celebrities on twitter who are also professed gamers?

I wouldn't suggest spamming them or adding them to the OP, but just an individual or two reaching out with a message or question.

It might not be a bad idea to pull Microsoft into the fold for the next push. Since it's kind of a "second wind," it wouldn't be terrible to get some new blood involved and ruffle some different feathers. Food for thought.

But wouldn't you agree that the silent treatment can sometimes work wounder.. considering that you have a PhD at balling! ;)

Isn't Wayne Brady a big Halo fan? I think Jon Stewart's a gamer as well.

Yeah, but like Sony, they've already gotten that message. It would put them in a really awkward position during their E3 presser if during the previous 72 hours they had tens of thousands of gamers tweeting to them directly about going back on their DRM position. They would have to address it somehow... and they'd have to do it carefully.

Just throwing ideas around.

I think the silence directed towards MS is more impact-full than another twitter campaign.
(MS and EA are aware)

It shows Microsoft that they have no good will in the community since there is no campaign aimed towards them, but people are more hopeful that Sony will do the right thing.

Silence is a very powerful and revealing tool here

We could try contacting all 160+ sites that wrote an article on the movement, in addition to letting people know through youtube and the comments section of news sites. There's also Reddit, and the guys at this site would probably be more than happy to help.

EDIT: We could also try using the #PS4NoDRM hashtag to send out info about the push on twitter

We have to play our cards right with reddit.

Last time a post with 2k upvotes was hidden by the mods as soon as they figured out it was from gaf.
We need a tojan horse like the nbc article at the time of our push.

We should target the gaming and the technology subreddits as they have millions of subscribers.

You don't think they'd back us up on this one?

Same thing happened to me, tweet some random stuff not addressed to anybody

And you can still use the hash tag, just be careful with sending lots of @ tweets

They (mods of r/gaming) didn't back up the last time, that's for sure. They hid our post as it was at position #2 on the subreddit.

Maybe somebody here has any connections to the mods over there?

Baller, I'm with you ( I see your point).

In the end, it can not hurt.,.. however, I'not sure how much it well help. ( I may have just invalidated myself).

I still believe we give them Silence! and trust that they are smart enough!

We are going to set this up with Xbox included. But we aren't anyone's boss, of course, so it's up to each one of you whether you want to include them in your tweets (or tweet at all, for that matter).

How did you do that to the background? to get rid of the white?
One for you

Oh, moon of my life tweet right there.
And one for you

EDIT: Now that the message has gotten across, the week leading up to E3 will mostly be keeping the movement in the minds of Sony and Microsoft. So it won't be as heavy as the first couple of days, but strong enough to give them cause to be really nervous if they announce DRM.

Silence wouldn't get any messages across. That is tacit approval of a ridiculous policy that will invariably affect you.

Well, let's consider our situation:

We have a two man horse race where one horse is getting the primed lion share of attention, love and aspiration to negate what is perceived to be the largest consumer rights issue in gaming.

Again, considering the above; it is humanisticly consistent as well as corporately prudent for MS to respond (even if there isn't a intended/directive campaign towards them). They know what's going on and their highly paid predictive analyst and final 'button pusher' will drive their initial direction for this generation. Again,.. I hope their smart about this.

By the way: I'm glad that you're Naughty Dog Sanctioned!

A new thread with new hashtags? I'm ready for part two.

Don't change the Hashtags for gods sake. They are already out there in countless articles.
Doing the same for different hashtags will be extremly hard.
Also it makes sense to make clear that the second push is a continuation of our current efforts.

Wow I miss a day due to life and it gets even better. Well done to everyone, I'm so glad to be a part of this amazing campaign. And I hate to be rude but if someone can put a banner on my avatar I would be most grateful!
