Guys, the PS4 is gonna be box like, say PS4 on the side, and have all of these ports on the back. You heard it here first.
But seriously, I hope it's colored like the MGS4 PS3 was. I wanted one of those but I decided to wait for the slim. I'm so tired of black and white consoles : /

Wonder if those cubes in that promo cut out have anything to do with the os for ps4. Maybe like a hybrid of the ps2 and ps3 os. Rotating cubes meet xmb.
I think that's mainly because we have the most exciting news to talk about. :3 I just hope that Sony drops megatons so big that people will be forced to step back and say, "Damn. Sony might actually win next-gen." At least that's what I had hoped originally for Wii U but that isn't happening anytime soon. -_-
Being associated with a GameCube is hardly a positive for Sony.

There's a reason why most electronics a monochrome. It's hard to get a good design AND RGB colors that match and don't clash.
I hope not.
In the end I don't REALLY care, I'm not looking at it. But buying shiny things that LOOK nice is nice.

Absolutely, I really hope Sony would do that! No DRM or used games crap and throw in some good games preferably exclusives and you got a winner!
This is the most excited I've been for E3 in years. I've only really checked in a few times to see what trailers and announcements were coming, but this is getting me super hyped.
I seem to remember someone (famousmortimer perhaps) saying that from the people they knew at Sony, everyone was pretty much preparing for war, which I think denotes just how serious they're taking it.
I really hope we don't know about most of the exciting announcements already. Versus will be cool but I'm not too into JRPGs any more, TLG won't interest me if the controls are as terrible as SotC. I hope those aren't the biggest announcement. I want there to be some new IP that looks like it's going to set some kind of benchmark for next gen.

I doubt those are the big things. Both of those were hinted by either SE or Sony back in February. We have heard Moddus say there will be an avalanche of games and that SCE is ready for war. The "insiders" have been hinting great things. This E3 will cause bans, gifs, and will likely be spoken of well into the 2020s. I desparately hope to see SSM and RaD show off some stuff.

That looks about the same dimensions as the PS3 slim to me, just boxier. Much like the XBONE is supposed to be the same size as one of the others but because it's boxier it looks larger.
Not sure what you can expect considering every 3rd party is making an X1 exclusive.

They're so big because there's a lot of tech crammed in there, and its going to take a big fan to cool it all (nobody wants to have another RROD disaster after all). Over the years they'll be able to shrink parts and find more efficient ways to cool them, but expect a console roughly the size of the launch PS3, maybe a bit smaller as the launch models basically had a tiny PS2 inside for BC, and PS4 doesn't have any native BC.
I've tried playing the game three times and I can't get Wander to do anything I want him to do. I'm constantly reminded of the controller in my hand and am wrestling with it. I'm completely removed from the game because of it.
I also find it pathetic that the team has only put out two games since thy formed in 1997.
I think they're doing quite well right now preparing for the current one. Guess we'll have to wait and see.
But being associated with good design should be a positive
I preferred the PS2 design personally. Maybe even Panasonic's Q design over the standard cube.

thats a shame. as for your second point, I can forgive them for that seeing as how they made one of the best games of all time.
This is one of my favorite things on GAF around console transition E3s.

Yeah I understand that, the thing is I want it to fit into my Vanguard portable gaming system!
That's my biggest concern about size tbh!
I am certain that the PS4 will not be cubic:
The way the shadow forms leads me to believe it'll be quite rectangular.

I'd be able to forgive if I could actually play SotC. I feel like I would adore the game if I could actually get a hang of the controls. Ico was good though.

That controller design with it's silly lcd would make it hard for me to buy the system.
Same; been a long time since I wanted to buy a console simply for a game.
That was a mock up from when we had heard that there was a touch element on the controller and everyone was speculating whether it would be a screen or a pad.
I was more talking about the console itself.
A bit wide for my taste but not bad.I really like this one, done by someone at the GTA forums.
Gotcha, very reminiscent of the original PS2. Honestly I think the PS1 (not the slim rounded one) is my favorite console design ever, but that could be pure nostalgia.
