From what I was reading in the last thread where this all came up, our Gaf sources started to point out the whole yield issues and possible downclock while Senjutsu was defending the XBone Kinect delay gif and all of a sudden tossed a bet in there to try and counter all of the attention our insiders were getting.

So basically he's just not above defending any bad news about Xbox One or Microsoft.

● A console which is also, after all this time, having massive eSRAM yield issues because Microsoft is caught rushing the One to the market.

● On top of that gigantic shit sandwich, they have now also canceled their post-E3 media roundtable, presumably because they're tired of being eviscerated and embarrassed non-stop since January 2013. Once again, because of shit they did and no one else.

Topics on GAF move extremely fast, I've learned to keep up with the hot ones and skim the low-post threads. Even then my tab count gets pretty high. I imagine people who don't GAF for at least a couple hours a day can get behind in news pretty quickly. Amir0x's post provided a summarized list with links that's accessible and easy to read.

I attack things I feel are negative with such heat out of pure passion, I love this damned hobby and want to see it continue to grow

But I ALSO listened to him about hardware specs...which were FAR from right. No deflection in fact I have always been very open that he was mostly dates. Two of our most trusted neoGAF insiders have said that Microsoft is reacting hard to what has went down, and so they're going to try to dismantle PS4's image as a "for gamers" console by paying publishers and devs to not show their multiplatform titles during E3 on a PS4. In other words, even if the multiplatform version is coming out for the PS4, they won't be able to show them at E3, thus contributing to the perception that somehow Sony is getting significantly less support for PS4 than Microsoft is "for gamers."

Of course, I'm sure multiplatform games will slip through - they can't possibly pay everyone - but it's extremely telling how they're choosing to spend their money. Rather than do the thing everyone wants, which is end the anti-consumer nonsense, they'll spend their time trying to deceive everyone instead. And this is why I don't take people seriously when people say we should wait until E3 or nothing is decided yet because the console isn't even out yet. That doesn't matter because nobody forced Microsoft into doing this shit. They did it, of their own accord.

I played the wait-for-announcements game last year with Wii U and I got burned on more than one issue - accounts, achievements, and so on (and I'm still 6 weeks away from playing Pikmin 3). Microsoft deserve no benefit of the doubt. They had their chance to reveal the console well - weeks and weeks of planning following Sony's reveal - and they fucked it and continue to do so.

Sony is under no obligation to not say COD, Respawns game, GTA etc are coming to PS4.

I love neoGAF and I have no hatred toward anyone on the site, and not a single person on ignore. I hope everyone can get comfortable with me over time now that I am not representing neoGAF as a mod. No they were wrong standing by them would be stupid I found it funny because it was so little comparatively and so long ago and yet seems to cause such problems.

Ya they could simply read a list if they wanted. and be done with it. Though that part wouldn't make it to some of the news outlets and so forth. But it seems an odd plan.

The more negative press Microsoft gets, the more they're going to dole out the moneyhats to counterbalance the perception and always keep the demand where they need it to be to hit critical mass.

With all that investment and manpower going into creating software for XB1, there's bound to be a couple "killer apps" to get the console to critical mass in sales. It's not the Wii approach but its a brute force approach that's going to result in sales whether GAF likes it or not.

Two of our most trusted neoGAF insiders have said that Microsoft is reacting hard to what has went down, and so they're going to try to dismantle PS4's image as a "for gamers" console by paying publishers and devs to not show their multiplatform titles during E3 on a PS4. In other words, even if the multiplatform version is coming out for the PS4, they won't be able to show them at E3, thus contributing to the perception that somehow Sony is getting significantly less support for PS4 than Microsoft is "for gamers."

Of course, I'm sure multiplatform games will slip through - they can't possibly pay everyone - but it's extremely telling how they're choosing to spend their money. Rather than do the thing everyone wants, which is end the anti-consumer nonsense, they'll spend their time trying to deceive everyone instead. That should say it all about Microsoft since this year started

You're right but all of the games on the floor won't be shown on PS4 hardware, which to the press that's covering E3, will give the appearance that they are Xbox One exclusives or at least that XBO is the primary/lead platform. That is, if this is true, and if devs/pubs take the bribe.
