Kaz Hirai enjoys being an internet meme

All of the JCVD ones literally brought me to tears, but this one was the killer - Reggie's face... oh god...

That's what happens when SonyGaf has the best gifmakers.

Or when SonyGAF feels the need to create gifs which show their company's representative beating his competitors (sometimes literally).
It's turned into a pretty weird circle jerk at this point. I wonder why. Maybe it's the fact that all the people he is beating in these gifs did a better job than him in the last console generation.

See the above picture.

He sounds nearly native as far as his English goes. I was expecting Iwata-level English before watching.

His biography helps explaining that.
Hirai was born in 1960 in Tokyo, Japan, where he attended the American School in Japan. The son of a wealthy banker, Hirai often traveled with his father across the world to California, New York, and Canada and around Japan — a trait which Hirai noted to be a major factor in his later multi-continental business success.

Can someone make a gif from the scene in coming to America where Eddie Murphy sings to the crowd with the band. Something like Kaz photoshopped on stage singing about the PS4 being the powerful games console, no online DRM, used games are allowed, free online and $400. He drops a mic and leaves to feedback and crowd applause.

I still have a copy of the Che Guevera Kaz GIF which I ran through a vectorizer and resized and stuff, seriously considered printing it on a t-shirt to wear to PAXAus. I love my PS3 but I'm not a complete brand loyalist nutcase. If the PS4 is "evil" in my eyes, I won't be blindly faithful.

Still, could've been a cool shirt, damn that Feb thread produced some of the best GIFs I've ever seen.

Two watches? Must be a Sony thing.

But Kaz is very laid back and well spoken, good to know he enjoys the gifs and whatnot... not that disliking them would stop us.

And they made him a Lord of Cinder. Not for virtue, but for might. Such is a lord, I suppose. But here I ask. Do we have a sodding chance?
Why are people surprised that his english is great? Of course it is! We've heard him talk for ages!

Not many Japanese can hide the heavy Japanese accent when speaking English, speaking/being fluent in English can be done by anyone but Kaz goes beyond that, his pronunciation is excellent.
Yoshida-san on the other hand speaks English very well but his accent is very thick

Wow, so many people surprised by Kaz' english. Where have have you been the last several years?

Love the gifs.

For their defense, Kaz has become extremely popular thanks to the gifs. I must say after the gifs in February, I watched an old E3 presentation to check out how he spoke and stuff.

Last time Kaz was a meme was in 2005/2006 with "599US DOLLARS", "RIDGE RACER!" etc. I'm glad I wasn't a GAF member back then as a 12 year old getting banned for my fanboyism :p

I just had 10 minutes of pure bliss thinking about GIF Jesus Kaz acknowledging all these GIFs by opening the Sony E3 Conference with an entire marching band wearing Kaz masks

It's so funny how great Kaz is at being badass in gif form in the same way that Ballmer is great at being pissed off/frustrated villain in gif form.
