Now is not the time for CG, especially when you have such a good looking game on your hands.
I think they do, end it with a release date, SKU breakdown and cost.

I would tend to agree. But I believe that unless they are extremely confident with their price point, they won't announce it if MS doesn't.

Haha, I actually have very thin hands. I've never broken a PS2 or PSP disc lid, but I know lots of people who have.
Also, I don't know if Sony can resist the allure of a glowing disc slot a la the Wii this time around, with the blue glow we've been seeing in all of their promo videos.

Meh. After showing the game so many times, CG isn't going to cut it unless the game looks that close to it.

I'd say fairly high. It's important to get the ball rolling early with pricing and release date information, so people can start pre-ordering / saving up immediately. I don't think it makes sense to wait.
Sony is going to give the PS4 a price at which they can afford. Their decision will not be dictated by what Microsoft does.

Hopefully! I guess they'd mention it in conference if it's only good news. But...
My worry is that it will somehow end up worse for PS4 DRM than for xbone, by "omission" of a global DRM system. For instance, say that Sony leaves it entirely up to devs. The dev who don't put DRM, great! It's just like a regular disk. For the others, say the disc is just a faster download of a regular "PSN" game. As I understand, for a digital game on PSN cannot be traded, sold, or shared (though I guess if you share the account, you can put it on.. 2,3 PS3? I forget).
Anyhow, if sony goes the route of least effort with DRM and publishers end up making their disc games PSN full download games, it would be in some aspect (not the 24 hour check in, I am not sure how it currently works on the ps3) be worse than the horrible xbone system.

I'd wait in line if I knew I had a chance of getting in by noon tomorrow (Monday/D day). I live just a few blocks away for there. Is there away to check the lines before heading out (like a gaf thread or live stream or something)? I'd have to miss class, so I want to to know I won't just be wasting a precious absence. >_>

We are in BST. But secondapps doesn't list BST. So even though the conference 2 AM for us, the counter is set for GMT.
The worst thing I think that could happen is that it'd be more likely that a game on PS4 would become useless after the servers get shut off, because there'd be a bunch of separate servers that publishers could no longer bother with rather than just Microsoft's.
