Because they support aggressive Recon role?

Carbines are now all-kit weapons, so I can rebuild my Specialist class from BC1. =D

Although I do think that DICE should just re-introduce the Specialist or Spec Ops class. Not sure why they haven't yet. Stealth/C4 would be their focus.

Because they support aggressive Recon role? Thats very good change.

Now the support/medic has a hard time taking on vehicles. But C4 IMO is better of with recon.
Recon & stealth go hand in hand, far better for sneaking up on vehicles.

but C4 = destruction -> support. Wth is the support guy supposed to do now? Support class was already pretty useless in BC2 (still my most played class though). I'm hoping for mortar strikes at least.

And I don't have anything against motion sensors, the one in BF3 was perfect because the other team could find it and destroy it. A motion sensor BALL like in BC2 though is impossible to find. No, just no.

too many set classes with specific roles forces people to think about how to play effectively, analyze situations that would suit each individual class effectiveness, encourage more role specific task that may put players out of their comfort zone, that is too much thinking for your average FPS player of today (thanks COD) so they believe it's best to smash all the classes together as best as they could to have the one role to do it all because that requires no thinking at all

i don't think i like that...when you're behind someone and activate the knife kill, it should just be two or three quick jabs into an opponent's neck and that's it, not a long animation that can be blocked. i guess it's there to help balance or something.
