Games that no one has played on NeoGAF except you

Had a pretty bad NGPC habit in college, this two really stood out (and probably no one played them unlike card fighters and capcom vs snk)

Faselei Mech turn based strat game with simultaneous turns via program chips.

Ganbare Neo Poke-Kun Fucked-up tamogotchi meets fucked up Wario Ware. You try not to annoy this little guy so much and he'll build you minigames starting with the simpliest pong clones on to vector games, space invaders, fighters, side scrollers and an rpg. The thing is each is preverse. The space invaders game for example has you in between the space invaders and the defenders, just dodging. the fighting game only has jump kicks...

I was trying to remember the name of this game last night. The sound effects are etched into my mind.

Dammit. I was gonna post this after seeing someone post another game from this collection earlier. I had this, but never got too far. Pretty boring.

Faselei! is great. Very neat TBS.

I kind of want that after watching trailers. Is this playable without knowing Japanese?

Well it is pretty playable, but I am sure that I am missing on things because I cannot understand the language. What really sold me on the game is the incredible artwork, and well, in a way, it is similar to Animal Crossing.

Cashman - Dragon 32

One of my top retro platformers ever - really great 2 player game.

Actually there were probably tons of great Dragon games no-one else I know has played. :( It shared a lot of games with the CoCo being essentially a clone.

Eddie Steady Go? Shock Trooper? Starship Chameleon?

Anyone?

not really sure what to say about this one, but I wasted a couple of hours on it

I remember being very impressed by this game back in the day.

It's actually kinda a piece of trash. Used to be a pretty piece of trash tough.

Sentinel is pretty interesting. There was a java version online a good while back.

I remember being very impressed by this game back in the day.

My brother bought it when he got a PSX based on some videos he saw some where. Thought it looked amazing. Then we found it it was a rail shooter/FMV game. Pretty disappointed.

so good...
Best shooter I've ever played. Must have completed it like 20 times together with my cousin - the idea of having 2 totally different ships with different controls being able to link in multiplayer was great.
That post alone made me want to download my free GoG copy of Tyrian 2000 and clear it again.

Edit:
And done. I know what I'll be playing this weekend.

Some peoples mentions that I've played:

Body Blows (this game had some great moves and sound fx)
Halloween Harry (Apogee again - loved this)
Subwar 2050 (Another one those great early sims, Descent anyone?)
Cyberia (Can't remember much about this but it looks awfully familiar)
Tyrian (Top down shooter that allowed you to fly in any direction - a great game if its the one I remember)

All these old PC game mentions are a real trip. Here's one:
Troddlers
Anyone? Loved the music in this game!

I remember ads for Troddlers, but never played it. Subwar 2050 was waaay better (for me) than Descent, though. You could torpedo Blue Whales!

This was one of my favorite games back in the psx era.
Resident evil like gameplay and a story straight from a b-movie.

Here's one I just remembered, pretty much the only flight combat game I enjoyed (other than Star Wars stuff);

The game seems to have been largely forgotten, but I enjoyed it a lot for its extensive historical detail and the added strategy that came when playing as a commander, as you had to choose which targets to attack and manage the aircraft at your disposal.

Rollcage. Okay, so this isn't really applicable but people don't mention it enough that it might as well be! RIP Psygnosis, RIP Studio Liverpool.

I have a PC version of that. The thing is, I have NO FUCKING IDEA where I have it from. I am sure I haven't bought it or got it as a present and I don't remember any of my friends/family bringing it to me to play.
It... It just appeared inside my drawer among the CD-cases, or something...

Played it and still have it, sorry :)

Dark Earth for the Pc

I fucking loved this game the world was amazing
got stuck halfway through with seemingly no way to get passed it. :(

I played it too and could not finish it either, funny enough, there is also a pen and paper version of the game, which I still play with some friends from time to time :)

Let me add my modest contribution to pre Rainbow Six with this (actually quite good) action game on Amiga:

Alcatraz_Front.jpg

And a pretty niche, but yet EXCELLENT, platformer on Amiga too:

Nectaris was great, and I was happy to see it on Wii VC.

Best shooter I've ever played. Must have completed it like 20 times together with my cousin - the idea of having 2 totally different ships with different controls being able to link in multiplayer was great.
This. This game is a blast, best shmup on PC hands down. The last ship/weapon was fun, too.

It sold badly? That's truly a pity. I was thinking it was well known.

I have a couple from the golden Atari ST era that probably not many here has heard about:

Hunter, probably the first 3d game with different vehicles and an open world to explore:

hunter.jpg

Ok, maybe it's a question of region title localisation or something, but I played this game (an awful lot), and it was called MIDWINTER here (EU).

Nuclear War has some hilarious leader names, the game itself is fun also.

nuclear-war_1.jpg

I feel like a terrible person for taking more than a minute to realize who Jimmy Farmer was suppossed to be. Kinda strange that a lot of those people have recently died.

Viper Racing. A game where you could only race with and against Dodge Vipers, which was alright for me because it was the only car I cared about as a kid. Probably limited to just the one due to being able to do car damage. The game had a weird control feature to nudge the car, presumably to flip it back upright should you tip over, but you could pretty much do it indefinitely to start flying or continue damaging your car long after you could no longer drive it; the ridiculous end result being able to compact your car into a single tire.

Haha I totally forgot about the damage in this game. It would get absurd when I was racing around but my car had been flattened to the size of a motorcycle.

I should be working really...

...but fug it. Anyone play...

Are you actually me? That's pretty much a list of all the games I played the most on my C64 and Amiga, especially Exile. Usagi Yojimbo was a game with incredible potential and it's always surprised me no one else tried to rip off its ideas (remember the Ninja village?).

Zeewolf was a massively overlooked and superb game (although it was buggy as fuck towards the end missions), and Zeewolf 2 was even better with the whole swapping vehicles thing.

The main thing that sticks in mind with the Supercars games was the highly dubious "FONDLE" cheat mode...

Ok, maybe it's a question of region title localisation or something, but I played this game (an awful lot), and it was called MIDWINTER here (EU).

Mindwinter was a totally different game (by Mike Singleton of Lords of Midnight fame) played from a first person perspective. Hunter was from an odd third person perspective and really was Grand Theft Auto 3 before Grand Theft Auto 3.

Just thought I'd throw some out there, kinda at random.

F29_Retaliator_Coverart.png

One thing I loved with F-29 was the promo demo for the other Ocean game Epic that came on magazine coverdiscs that crossed over the two games so you had these near indestructable space ships to fight in your earth technology fighter plane.
I actually found my Skyfox disk in the cupboard the other day, thought I'd thrown it away. Still in mint condition.

Seriously the best, absolutely best game ever made.

Too bad none of you guys played this.

I happen to have these lying around so took photos. All for Atari 8-bit.
I think they were fairly major at the time though.

Ha, the old Scott Adams' adventures. They were great. Although I'm sure the solution to one of the puzzles was something like 'Yell Bear'.

Should I have spoilered that?

I just noticed the bad brand jokes. Oh god.
Holy crap I did not expect to see this. I'm not sure if I had the exact one because mine came in one of those "40 games on one cd" thing. It could have been a cheap knock-off and it crashed within 5 minutes every single time. I wanted to figure out how to play it so badly that I would try endlessly.

I had some awful taste as a kid. For some reason I had the logic of buying (well, asking for) games that no one else was buying. For instance, everyone played/liked Tony Hawk, so I decided to get this.
2rYwY47.jpg

This one is earlier in my life, since I was a big Star Wars fan I was given this game.

Then there was this which I played way too much of.
Tnj9Sqt.jpg

This I'm sure others on this board have played because it was awesome, but none of my friends gave a shit.

Actually now that I think about it I was one of the only ones I knew who had a Dreamcast out of the people in my area.

edit: Those first two have such awful ratings oh my goodness.

Why? Because there was never any reason for anyone to play it. As well as own it. I don't even remember how I got the game as a kid. Was probably on sale. I remember I only played it though out of SHEER boredom once in awhile.

Rush Down on PS1

Why? Because it sold poorly and was panned by critics. Game was pretty bad and another case of how did I even get it in the first place.
