I suppose that also comes with the territory. I'll give it a look later if I don't get occupied with something else.

I will say that I actually kind of sympathized with the main block of wood being passed of as main character, not really wanting much to do with that whole ball of crazy.

Amazing. The only reason I'd want to watch.

I'm starting to get that sense already.

Let's Play! Suite Precure: 14

You know what? Forget I asked.
Cheated. Episode Title gave it away.
Another episode, and no Muse reveal. Even worse, back to the status quo of Siren finds note, makes Negatone, Precure defeat it. Next episode looks like it might be a pain. It has girls falling in love with boys!

Thank you Hibiki for not loving dudes. Anyway, again, you might as well not bother trying to hope for a reveal soon. When I say it goes on for far longer than it should, I mean like...
21 episodes from now.

Akeno is still best girl.

Highschool DxD S2

Opening: Probably end up skipping the majority of time.
Ending: Downgrade with the lack of poles

Feels just like I'm continuing watching DxD a week after seeing the finale, even though I haven't seen it since at least last year. Glad to see everyone from the club again, Akeno is still a massive tease and Issei is still that perv that you can't help but like. Already stated, but I'm pleased its still uncensored and not having any of those magical beams of light showing up when they're not needed.

Finger licking scene was Grade A+. Wish it lasted a bit longer though.

DUDE DID YOU JUST
DESTROY THE GODDAMN WORLD
?!

First half of this episode was filled with GLORIOUS BATTLE ACTION, with AERIAL FIGHTING and FOUR-ON-ONE BEATDOWN and GIANT GODDAMN LASER BLAST. But of course,
Gohyarn wasn't fazed by any of this, and just got up afterwards with barely a scratch to show for it
.

Then we got another giant revelation that we've been waiting for the whole series:
the Fountain of Sun is THE GODDAMN OCEAN.
I...guess I should have seen that one coming. Unfortunately, this revelation was
Gohyarn's cue to perform the aforementioned WORLD DESTROYING, with the added disadvantage that the destruction of the Fountain of Sun means the weakening of the spirits that Saki and Mai use to transform! So they both end up reverted to civilian form at the worst possible moment.

But of course, as long as they're still alive, they're not going to give up. Drawing on their last reserve of heroic strength, all four of the girls, plus mascots, call out to all of the surviving spirits in the world to lend them their strength, and
OH FUCK YES ALL FOUR OF THEM TRANSFORMED. Saki into Cure Bloom, Mai into Cure Egret, and Michiru and Kaoru into new versions of Cure Bright and Cure Windy! (I don't know if they'll actually use those names, but THAT'S BASICALLY WHAT THEY ARE.) Finally Michiru and Kaoru's meaningful-name references are justified - they even got name-dropped in their respective "transformation calls".

So with one episode to go, now the REAL REAL TOTALLY FOR REALS THIS TIME YOU GUYS final battle can begin!
Gohyarn, you are SO going DOWN.

SECOND MASSIVE FUCK UP, thanks a lot

Next time I watch an anime episode and post my thoughts, I'm gonna try and use as many of those definitions as possible just to see if people even understand me.

More Giant Robo means more shape-shifting super-heroes means more black-face spies means more wanton destruction means there's barely any time for robots. I'm cool with that, though. The direction is very strong, and despite the disappointing first ten minutes of reused footage from the first episode, this moves at an engaging speed without being hard to follow. Good anime --nay, good cinema.

I know I'm supposed to feel sorry for this fucker, but
it's a bit difficult when they have one of the villains randomly go into plot exposition mode in order to thoroughly describe the horrors of the world going into Shizuma Drive-lessness. Professor Shizuma just did the same thing to Beijing on a whim, which means TOTAL PANIC AND PANDEMONIUM. Hypocrisy much?

It's really an early and superficial comparison to make but this feels like when I was watching K-On! in that its just sort of pleasant to watch. Glad I hopped aboard. Little art club gag got a laugh out of me too.

There's not a whole lot of robot stuff in this truth be told. haly described it as something like a 'kung-fu energy crisis' or with ninjas or some such and he's not too far off.

Of note is that the characters are lifted from other works of Mitsuteru Yokoyama and sort of thrown together here which works surprisingly well. If you end up liking this, be sure to check out Shin Mazinger Z as Imagawa returns and does the same with Go Nagai stuff albeit with a considerably smaller budget.

Are the Ginrei OVAs or whatever worth watching?

I noticed we really don't have one for sakuga.

I hate sakuga, I'm really bad with anime productions and everything involved in how anime is made so that word was really hard on me.

I still remember that I made a thread about anime fights and the switch's to 3D. I didn't know that the word for that is sakuga, so it took me my whole thread just to figure out what sakuga is. Geez, I had to watch the whole parts of the meeting on sakuga just to figure out what it is.

Even after all the sakuga videos, I still can't tell the difference between good production anime episodes and bad ones. The only anime I can tell the difference between good and bad is Attack On Titan and that's only because they shove it right into your face if it's good or bad.
That word is going to haunt me forever :(

Transforming Raccoon that fight with there balls isn't realistic or mundane(pom poko) neither is Hols: Prince of the Sun or Panda Go, your description makes his works sound uninteresting.

Hols and Panda Go Panda aren't aren't entirely indicative of what kind of approach he will adopt later on. Stuff like Hols is more of an outlier compared to his other works such as: Heidi Girl of the Alps, Marco, Anne of Green Gables, Gauche the Cellist, Grace of the Fireflies and Only Yesterday. It's pretty difficult to argue against the fact that the majority of his catalogue of works share a similar approach.

More over, my earlier description would only appear boring to those who aren't interested in anime which attempt to replicated some of the realities of life in a grounded manner. I don't see why that's inherently uninteresting.

I don't know if I'd call Key heroines "attractive" outside of Clannad, even then.
The amount of fanart and doujins they get sure runs counter to that though. Obviously there are a lot of people who disagree!

Perrine is a goddess so I accept this ranking. Though I accept all as long as all the witches are loved.
All Witches are good Witches indeed. Some are just loved a bit more! This was pretty hard to make.
