There is a popular ARMA II mod called Wasteland where you drop hundreds of players onto this huge desert.

They fight over resources, weapons, vehicles, bases, and more in massive battles.

Mods like that will make their way to ARMA III, if they haven't already.

I'm fairly certain regular ARMA gameplay is just a large force online vs AI.

Yes. You can run missions against other players.

Also, watch this. www.youtube.com/watch?v=2XdK9xhJyH8

Interesting. That modding is amazing

My hate against the developer is rational.
Your hate against this bundle isn't. Not everything 1C does or has done has been bad. The games 1C has chosen to feature in this bundle are amongst those that are most certainly NOT bad.

Like I said, "Go ahead and irrationally ignore several good games then."

So, Asterix is known even in Australia! I didn't know that.

I'm from Costa Rica and as I already said, I'm a big fan. I learned to read with Asterix, pretty much

Hah, Kuifje (tin tin) too. And waffles. And chocolate! And beer... and fries!
Asterix! So cool, I have like 10 books (including that one).

Reading the last page of an Asterix book always made me hungry. :p Some years ago I told myself that I'd import hardcover copies of all the books when I received my tax return, but I never got around to it. One of my mates managed to remember this and bought me one for my birthday earlier in the year, so I suppose I'll have to complete the collection sooner or later.

So, Asterix is known even in Australia! I didn't know that.

I loved Asterix as a kid... and probably even more so now. ;)

OK gonna get it once I get back home XO.

How's the single player mode btw? I'm still gonna get it because of how good Raven were but would like some more impressions ^^;

It's been donkey's years since I've played it. I remember not being overly impressed but I didn't hate it, either. Take from that what you will. :p

Nice :)

I'm a fan too, but being French, it's less of a surprise. I was also a big fan of the Genesis game, JaseC is right, it needs to come to Steam ASAP.

I remember it being pretty bloody hard, but I didn't care, because Asterix.

I didn't finish RDR on 360 but would double dip on PC.

A mate and I finished the game on the PS3 a few years ago, but I'd throw money at a PC port in a heartbeat.

Quake (2,50€) or Quake collection (7,50€)?

What should I do?

The latter. Quake is awesome. Quake 2 is awesome. Quake 3 is awesome. And you also have the expansion packs (which I've never played... I need to fix that eventually).

Man, they totally went bananas with Western names for this Men of War series.

In Russia, there is the first game, "В тылу врага" (which has several Russia-only expansions) and its sequel "В тылу врага 2". The sequel also has three expansions, which are called "В тылу врага 2: Братья по оружию", "В тылу врага 2: Лис пустыни" and "В тылу врага 2: Штурм". There is also a stand-alone expansion which drops the series name and is simply called "Чёрные бушлаты". The amount of expansions is a bit confusing, but at least you can tell what came first and that the games are actually related.

Let's take a look at the English names of the same games now. "В тылу врага" (which means literally "behind enemy lines", by the way) = Soldiers: Heroes of World War II. "В тылу врага 2" = "Faces of War. "В тылу врага 2: Лис пустыни" = "Men of War". "Чёрные бушлаты" = "Men of War: Red Tide". "В тылу врага 2: Штурм" = "Men of War: Assault Squad". The other remaining expansion seemingly didn't get an English release.

Bloody confusing! It's like they don't have a concept of a brand over there at 1C. Of course, I suppose it's all because of some sort of legal/copyright issues, but that happens way too often with their franchises (the "Sea Dogs"/"Корсары" series is probably the most prominent other example).

Been waiting for a good deal on a bundle of Men of War games so I am rather happy for this Humble Weekly. Which one should I start with?

Awesome, always wanted to test the Men of War games. Think I'll skip Assault Squad though. Problem is I have Company of Heroes 2 now, and I doubt Men of War are better ;_;

Still waiting on Ardvent and @____@ to message me back... messaged them about half an hour ago for payment. Is it normal for people to flake on 4 packs?

Hmm, Doom 3 pack + Doom classic complete, or Doom 3 BFG?

You can get some fancy mods, graphical and otherwise for vanilla Doom 3 if you care about that thing.

If you don't, best get BFG. It's a nice package, has some extra content (Doom 3: The Lost mission) and all the games have achievements, even Doom 1 and Doom 2.
