Thanks for the reply. And that is why I take all insider's info as: "Oh, that'll be cool if that happens", instead of "OMG, confirmed!" I think that's a reasonable stance.
Well if he tells us it slips past that beforehand its no biggie
And this summer has been exciting enough tbh no worries

About a month ago. And yeah, I probably shouldn't even say gdc. It's going to be early next year... so that's just me making a jump in logic again. And who knows, maybe it gets canceled or maybe they show it somewhere else or maybe the guy who told me about it is pulling my leg.

I would like to read this as a sign of confidence that Sony has enough meat in their announcement line-ups for Gamescom/TGS/VGAs that they don't have to resort to pre-mature announcements. ( like Bioshock Vita or Getaway)
... I hope.
I'd like to think this too, alternatively, if it's not a game announcement and something else entirely sony may decide to run with the TV info that spilled earlier today, if they appeal to the same market.

Yes and I have no idea. I still have no idea if the info I got about those games was bad or if they are waiting to announce. I haven't heard a peep about them all summer.
In fact the rumor mill has been pretty quiet since e3. No one seems to know anything. I know multiple people at Sony and I have no clue what's going to be at gamescom (and neither do they... or they don't want me to know which makes sense since I post too much).
Even talking to others here that get info their sources seem to have dried up also. It's kinda cool for me personally because gamescom will be fun. I knew (and had leaked) the entire February reveal lineup minus deep down... So other than 8gbgddr it wasn't exciting. I'm hoping that gdc is legitimately exciting for Sony and Microsoft.
Anyway I'm derailing cboat's thread which is lame because he really is the best. I'm open to well mannered PMs though. Most of the time.

I know I said the last post was gonna be my last derail... but yes, that's how it was described to me. They are very confident in what they are showing and launching with and don't want to muddy that up with far off announcements.
Also person asking about the vita... I don't know anyone working on vita stuff anymore so I'm pretty out of the loop. I'm hopeful but i should be used to having my hopes dashed by Sony when it comes to the vita and conference showings. There will be a price drop though.

I made an occulus rift hint? I don't know jack about that other than what everyone else knows that Yoshida seems to like the tech.
As for the teasing... it's really not to be masochistic or trolling or even 'ha ha I know something you don't' It's usually one of two things...
1. I'm really excited about something and i really, really, really want to talk about it but I can't. My talking about it will get people in trouble. It can fuck with a company if it's too early. It can change and then the people who don't understand that things change freak out on me. Also sometimes it's just better to find out when it's announced. I believe cboat once got in trouble for basically "ruining" an entire e3. But please believe me I'm not trying to be mean, I'm usually just excited and shouldn't be saying anything at all but can't help myself. I'm a zealous fan like a lot of you and it's hard to hold back. But jobs are at stake.
2. Someone is arguing something as fact when i know for a fact that they are wrong... oh man it's so maddening. It's like i have the info to just end the conversation factually but i cant do it. So i say like half a statement that is just pointless to most people and does nothing for anyone.
Basically I'm just a crappy poster. But not on purpose.
We know, and we appreciate whatever info you do release (just like CBOAT).

Sounds more like some people just wanted so badly to believe this rumor that Microsoft were buying off people to stay quiet about PS4 versions coming. Just for the sake of more hating on the company. Next time these people shouldn't be so quick to run with somethng that fits their argenda and instead learn to judge a rumor with some common sense,instead of rampant petbull like dogpilling. What I don't get is your statement though. Instead you wanna flip it to another goal posting backpeddle. "Microsoft fans are really quick to defend anything" horse shit. LOL. Quite rich.

I just hope that my vague memory of either verendus or famousmortimer saying a Souls game for ps4 would be at TGS wasn't made up by my own mind.
I believe they've both claimed Sony is working with From Software on a new title, but I can't remember where I got the impression it'd be at TGS. And all these leaks, rumors, etc. have been spread across so many posts between so many threads, it's hard to keep track of who said what. @_@
It's easier with cboat, since his post history consists solely of his leaks.

1st off i never said ANYTHING bout that E3 rumor. I cared nothing bout the rumor cause it didn't affect me as a GAMER. IIrc the only ppl mad about it then were ppl with an affinity to the Xbox.
2. How is it horse shit? There have been ppl that defend EVERY Microsoft move just like there r ppl that go to war over the wiiu & were defending $599 US dollars. Never did i say all. I said the enthusiasts, so u must b 1 since u thought I was talkin to u.
3. Where was the back peddle? Cause I joked about CBOAT being Microsoft Moses? That was to remind ppl this shit aint that serious.

Because according to statistics, around 50% of heavy smokers (25+ a day) will live a normal lifespan and will not die of any so-called "smoking related" disease.
Do you have the same "healthy dose of skepticism" (lol) about the dangers of smoking because 50% of the time the predicted result doesn't happen?

More subscribers yes. More money to publishers - maybe.
Bear in mind that right now, the primary reason to get PS+ is for the free games. With PS4 that is muddied by the requirement for online play.
You'll almost certainly have more subscribers, but many of those may not download all the games, so the percentage of downloaders is likely to drop. Assuming any fees to publishers are based on how many downloads they get, Sony is likely to get a little more from those new subscribers (which seems fair enough if they have to cover the costs of online). Publishers will get more money in an absolute sense, but relatively less per subscriber I think.
Frankly there is much more to PSN than simple cash for publishers

. I know I'm asking you for further derailment, but I have a memory from around E3, that you said some big project(s) from third parties for Vita were still to be announced / could be announced soon. Am I misremembering this or is there still hope for Gamescom regarding Vita?How can it be definitively proven when this is not information MS needs to make public? That said, missing their target of 21 countries is proof enough imo.

MS management is quite voracious in appetite for profits. This is typical of people who manage a company with a dominant and reliable stream of money and profit. Enough is never enough, and they try to squeeze their customers. You see it all the time. Intel, GM, old Sony, etc, etc.
Managers of companies that aren't in that privileged position are much more likely to offer better value to customers because they have to. They cannot rely on market domination, brand name, customer loyalty etc. They actually have to give their customers a better value for their dollar.
The only way we, as console gamers, get good consoles is if there is competition in the market. That is, in part, why I root for the underdog all the time.
