In lieu of a thoroughly tasteless pun on the word 'eating' I'm going to just go ahead and say that this proves my point...although whatever the hell it is, I guess it may be worth it for shock value?

Mochizuki is doing a hell of a job doing sound direction for Rozen Maiden right now. What I'm expecting from Pupa is atmosphere, which is pretty much my favorite thing ever.

What I can't get over is the ridiculous body proportions for the main females.

q3FqLlf.jpg

With breasts that big and a chest that small, how does she not snap in half?

body proportions are one thing I definitely find wrong with One Piece, and particularly the character designs themselves.

Personally, I think the character designs in One Piece in general are great; Oda has a real flair for designing creative and interesting-looking characters that are aesthetically appealing in their own unique ways and always well-distinguished from each other.

That said, females have always been his weakness. At the beginning of the series, his main issue was that he simply didn't get creative with his female character designs as he did with the male characters. They didn't look bad, they just all looked very...similar. He's clearly worked on this as the series progressed, and he now has a much bigger variety of female character designs than he used to (though they still pale in comparison to his creativity with male characters).

Unfortunately, as Oda's female character designs have become more creative, their proportions have also become more awkward. I remember back at the beginning of the series, Nami's body looked normal, healthy and really quite nice. These days, her chest is giant and her waist is minuscule, and the same goes for most other female characters in the series. This trend is obvious in both the anime and the manga, and I think it's just an unfortunate aspect of how Oda's art style has developed.

Two main highlights of this episode:

-Candy's elephant decor. It's an actual, real-sized elephant. Goddamn.
-Wolfrun. Particularly the scene with Miyuki's grandmother. That was great.

Also sparklers are lame as shit, have always been lame as shit, and always will be lame as shit.

I defy anyone to name an episode of any Precure series that was funnier than this one.

At the rate Japan is going, I don't know what's going to be left for shock value in five years.

I couldn't quite tell whether
all three died or that 1 guy survived.

I think he survived. His last bit of screentime seemed like an homage to that Ashita no Joe death scene, like Gurren Lagann's, which could suggest that he died right after finishing his mission, but the ending showed
two stars leaving while one was left behind, flying alone
, so I guess that means he survived. Well, either that or
he really died, but that one kid who is in love with Tamaki somehow pulled a Gundam SEED and survived an explosion completely destroying his robot.

Congrats on completing that watch bet from like 2 year ago! :D

Now we just need Toei to do the same with all the other arcs.

I keep my promises! Eventually.

I'd love for Toei to do more specials like these, because it'd be the best way for me to experience the story. Hopefully the Episode of Merry thing that's coming out soon is good.

Yeah, that wasn't made very clear at all. I would say it could be deliberate, but this show isn't that smart.

OreImo S2 - 14

You could see the exact moment the author lost his damn mind. Kirino was pretty much the sole rational person in this episode
except for those last few seconds.

Also, fuck Kyousuke. All sympathy for him is gone.

You can try and silence me, but the word will out! I refuse to pay you my lunch money for protection! Throw all the heart sparkle starbeams of love at me you got, see if I care!
Well, before all that, Satojun and Igarashi's Ojamajo Doremi is entirely legit. I wasn't aware of this until relatively recently.

What's the next step after cannibal incest?

Cannibal mindrape scat incest NTR featuring multiple crossdressing obese OAPs, a four-year-old boy, and animals. Endangered ones. Oh, and the little boy has cancer and AIDS.

*waits for somebody to name a doujin that actually manages to tick all of these boxes*

I have to admit that despite all the posts about them I haven't been moved to watch more magical girl shows. Partially because any show or franchise with hundreds of episodes immediately puts me off.

Does Maria+Holic count?

I guess there is no Incest, so the obvious answer is no?

One Piece: Episode of Nami

The story here is not outside the norm for battle shounen in its basic theme and structure, but it is well-executed, which of course is what matters in storytelling. Nami's story is powerful in its appeal to basic human feelings, and her character is developed strongly enough to serve as the story's emotional linchpin. Nami is complex enough to be interesting to watch and figure out, but the motivation behind her actions is understandable by anyone who has loved another human being.

Congrats on completing that watch bet from like 2 year ago! :D

Just in time for One Piece: Episode of Going Merry on Saturday!

(I wonder if Episode of Alabasta is worth watching before that.)

THAT AKENO, THAT XENOVIA, THAT LEWD-ASS NEW ED WITH THE RETURN OF KONEKO BUTT.

This show never had any shame before, but if there were any examples of it it would most definitely be this new ED. It's not even more well-animated than the first ED (or at all) but it's absolutely breathtaking in its lewdity.

Sailor Moon Lewd Stars 199

We keep seeing a not as evil Galaxia, which are flash backs to before the Light of Hope was flung into outer space. Everyone tries to group together, but get their asses handed to them. Sailor Moon attempts to reason with her, but ultimately gets killed for a couple minutes.

Chibi Chibi's true power as the Light of Hope is awakening, and has revived Sailor Moon in the process.

One more episode.

Well if you truly wanted to experience the story, I'd recommend reading the manga. I'm sure Episode of Merry will be great, though maybe not as much without context. Unlike the movies, the tv specials adapting specific arcs aren't self-contained stories that non-fans can just jump into.

I've wanted to get through Doremi for a while now, but I settled for just watching the movie.

One day . . .

I don't know that I could survive Oda's unfiltered art. Plus I generally prefer anime to manga.

Oda is a genuinely good artist, hourglass-women aside.

Poor hosanna. That would be an arc worth watching if there was a good condensation of it. Then again, I can't really think of a great way to condense it that well when the only great parts of the arc are Nico Robin's flashbacks and the stuff at the end. It's no Arlong Park. Lol.

Well there's always the Paced One Piece project, which attempts to "Dragon Ball Kai" the anime to edit it down and significantly lessen the pacing issues. Of course, better pacing doesn't make the production values better, which I imagine is another big issue you have with the anime. I also don't know where they are right now. They may have skipped past the beginning and jumped right to when the pacing gets REALLY abysmal, which is relatively recent (as in like 6 years ago).

Blue Exorcist The Movie

This movie was absolutely amazing. The story wasn't as deep as one would expected but it was done extremely well. Usamaro is adorable and I really like how he interacted especially with Rin. I like how the story was presented with the flashbacks here and there. It worked really well.

The background art was amazing throughout the movie. It's pretty amazing how well done they are and how well they change after the events in the movie. The festival was colorful, active and just a joy to watch.

I think one of my favorite things in the movie was seeing the scenes where there was just music playing as things were happening. Really helped focused on what was going on and really made it much more memorable. I just love how this movie was directed and really enjoyed how it all ended back to the telling of the flashback.

The dub was pretty serviceable. No one sounded off or unacceptable.

I think I'll stop rambling but this was definitely one of my favorite anime movies of the year.

Alright jerkbutts. Hulu removed a good chunk of dubbed One Piece episodes from where I was watching off their service - I'm right in the beginning of the Chopper arc. Is there anywhere else where can I watch it either for a sub (no ads plz, fuck you Hulu and your 'reduced ads' bullshit) or for free (i'll put up with ads?)

Otherwise I'll just have to scam DVDs off madman again

I forget, does Funimation's site use Hulu?

Edit: Wait, they're region-restricted, right? Probably a no-go in Australia then :(

Attack on Titan Ep; 19:

A weaker episode in this arc of
Female Titan
due to the long exposition
and flashback
but it explained a lot about Erins power and showed some emotions of Levi and the crew. I like the fact that the world and the plot is expanding beyond whiny soldiers and brutal titans. We get to see some useful information about the squad and some better writing during the beginning
When Levi was telling Eren whether to follow his guts and whether to trust his squad. Now that the female Titan is trapped, its interesting how far her intelligence goes. Being able to protect her eak spot was such a refreshing twist
Over all a another great addition that maybe boring, but needed.

Could it be because that's the part they're selling on DVD now?

But they have all the dub episodes available before it and after it too! There's just a random chunk missing in the middle. Might be related to a promotional thingy but kinda weird if so. Drops out around 48 and picks up again at 99 or so.
