GameStop HATES portable games. I remember when Hexyz Force came out. GameStop would not let me pre-order it; I wound up buying it from Fry's Electronics.

Anybody know who's the artist? I know he draw for AA series too, and that is the sole interest for me on this game (that man sure know how to draw characters with different trait).

If you like RPGs which I surmise from your Malik av (excellent taste BTW), you need to get on the PSP/Vita bus. It's RPG heaven.

Plus amazing games like this, of course.

I used to have a PSP, but i had to sell it awhile back. At this point i don't really want to buy another PSP, because it's on its way out, but i don't want to buy a vita either, because memory card prices are ridiculous =\

From the OP...
Also, the character designs were done by Kumiko Suekane, of Ace Attorney fame, and are a very refreshing contrast to the usual type of art found in otome titles.

Also, he's a she.

The memory cards are still a ridiculous price, even with the price drop. Hopefully some nice sales will come along.

Well, in Japan, the legal age is 20, so just chew on that a bit.

In all seriousness, I am okay with the age bump. She's still adorable and sassy.

Is there no love for Kouta?

Dude just wants to play his PSP while being wooed in a PSP game. The guy's po-mo street cred is off the charts, but ain't nobody swooning.

One thing to note specifically about Sweet Fuse, as compared to other otome games, is the pedigree of those involved with the game, and the general feel of the title as opposed to many other games in the genre. Sweet Fuse (amazingly) features Keiji Inafune, who helped contribute to the development, and who actually makes an appearance in the game itself. Also, the character designs were done by Kumiko Suekane, of Ace Attorney fame, and are a very refreshing contrast to the usual type of art found in otome titles. Instead of a brood of very similar looking "pretty boys", Sweet Fuse provides a lot more selection in the types of datable men

Oh man, I'm a failure :/
So the artist is woman? Now that's explain a lot.

I updated the OP with some links to full body artwork for Saki and the main 6 guys. Just click their character banner. (I'm trying to find some nice quality art for the other characters too, and will update if found.)

Plus, some other random bits of lovely artwork here and there.

My issue with this game, knowing me, will be the fact I'll play Saki as if she were me, and therefore, almost never take the calm route. Perhaps I should take the calm route first, in that case.

Damned fiscal responsibility and too little time are keeping me and this game apart. It sounds like a great concept, but I should probably finish the other VN I'm working on (corpse party bos).

I need to buy that blasted game already...

The game has voiced dialogue, so I highly doubt there's any dub at all.

So you don't know definitively. Thanks anyway.

If we're going to talk about how it's a PSP game though, it's remarkable they're releasing at all. May as well go all put instead of cutting corners. This doesn't really strike me as a Hakouki situation where you could argue the single language is better for the experience. I think it's reasonable to expect them to dub this.

I'm pretty sure someone from Aksys outright said it isn't dubbed, and I doubt they have the budget to fully dub a niche visual novel for the PSP of all things.

They had the budget to dub a niche VN on Vita, which really isn't all that different at all considering the limited market share of that platform.

Idea Factory? ...ehhh... it seems quirky, though. Ah, what the hell.
IF's RPGs are pretty bad/mediocre/garbage, but their visual novels seem to be their strongest asset. Especially their otome stuff.

Stay away from IF's RPGs and you'll probably be alright with respect to their other stuff.

Are you talking about VLR? Because that was also on 3DS, and the sequel to a game that sold rather well. That was mainstream compared to this.

Oh man, what am I doing with my life. I ordered this game from Play-Asia a couple weeks ago.

Why am I playing Otome games

As usual, the guys are not really my type for the most part. I'd probably go for Shirabe or Mitarashi, I guess.

Shirabe seems more interesting.

Subaru looks like one of those young guys who think wearing a suit somehow makes them better than you, I hate arrogant young guys haha, but appearances can be deceiving, so who knows.. (not saying all suits are like this, just that some people reek of arrogance ;))
