I like how Hino didn't even bother mentioning Danball Senki Wars. Even he must've known that it was they themselves that royally screwed up the IP.

wonder flick... layton 7... mobile extravaganza... play it on your big screen on any device except 3DS... you need a membership to watch live stream on this site without getting kicked out by a premium member... never sing at a concert without bringing your scarf so you can fling it around

ladies and gentlemen

Level5 Vision 2013

well we expected the mobile anyway

True. The game comes out next month and it hasn't been mentioned, not once. LOL.

He's just waiting to reboot the series as LBX 7 next year, where you collect cute farm animals on iOS/Android.

Thanks, I'm really curious about this Wonder Flick thing... do we know if it'll have online features and if cross-platform gameplay will be allowed? That might be a really good thing to do considering on how many machines it'll be out! :p

Also excited for new Inazuma, but really disappointed in new layton as it seems from the last comments that it would be a mobile game (?!)
That's a good question, actually. Don't know about Microsoft, but both Sony and Nintendo allow cross platform play between their own platforms, PC and mobile. But there's never been a game with cross platform play between consoles by different manufacturers as far as I know.

I just woke up.

New Layton on mobile?

"Layton".

From what we saw it was a weird town simulation where you look at zombies and stuff.

Thing is, has a game ever come out like this before that spans so many platforms and is also the exact same game?

It's that time of the year again. Get ready for the Smartphone future!

Announcements

- Wonder Flick is a f2p RPG with character creation/customization and full 3D battles. Service on iOS/Android starts in Nov 2013, PS3/PS4/XB1/WiiU service is due to start sometime in 2014.

- Majin Station is a collaboration with Razest, because they have more experience in developing crappy card battle RPGs for social mobile environments. They paid the anime studio Khara a lot of money to make a full CG trailer too. No gameplay footage or screens available. Coming this Winter to iOS/Android.

- Layton 7 is a brand new direction for the Layton IP. It's a Role Playing Puzzle game, where you can apparently "role play" as different characters in a miniature 3D town of some sort. Looks weird and stupid. Coming for iOS/Android/3DS at some point.

- Inazuma Eleven Go Galaxy hits the 3DS in two different flavors in Winter 2013.

- The Guild series has sold over 400k units on the eShop so far, half of which are from overseas buyers.

- duckroll is dead.
Gotta keep chasing those smartphone money! iOS/Android game for everybody!
Well, at least its not mobile exclusive but still....

This is like some crappy Level 6 Shift program where they attempt to become rich by making gamers cry 20000 times.

Somebody stop it, please.

Final Fantasy XI. PC, PS2 and 360.

Square Enix wanted to do the same thing with FFXIV but this time, Microsoft wouldn't make an exception to their shitty policies.

So, er, did people actually want another Layton that played like the last six? Fair enough if there was actually demand for that, but that series seems to have ran its course as-is.

Asks questions so Ezalc doesn't have to
For your sanity, you don't want to know what it is. :lol

Don't get excited...

It's like some RPG city sim thing. I don't know. It looked nothing like a Layton game.

Just saw a picture on Twitter... it looks nothing like Prof. Layton. Weird... >>;

Level 5 killing me. :(

your a dog...

?

I....guess you could call it that. layton's in it at least.

On mobile + 3ds and it looks weird.

Yeah, that image I saw online looked really weird. o_o

I don't. But I also don't see the point of using the Layton brand for something which shares nothing in common with what anyone likes about the Layton franchise to begin with. It's just weird.

I would like a Layton Crossing, Layton platformer, and Layton FPS thank you very much.

Nothing in common? Oh, come on! There's one of our favourite characters from the whole Layton series! The zombie! Directly from...that...game in the series where...in which you...err...

For whatever's worth, the concept for Layton Brothers on iOS was great. Too bad Phoenix Wright already existed. The music was also amazing too since it was by Yuzo Koshiro.

When they announced "Layton's last adventure" some are hoping a continuation of that with an evolved gameplay. Certainly not something like this lol.
