I think I've seen it light up, but I can't recall if it stays lit.
OT: The packaging is so small. I wonder how much smaller they can get with the inevitable "slim" iterations.

The blue is iconic and eye catching. A solid choice. Sort of like the Xbox box though just because of the all black.
I say these things only insofar as I am going to take the box and stick it in a closet, never too be seen again unless I am moving and need to repack it.

Honestly I'm not feeling the PS4 box. That XBO box is sexy as hell though, unfortunately the console is not.
Well to be fair the box isn't a big deal either at face level. But this thread has 4 pages? So the packaging obviously holds some significance and with the plethora of threads devoted to gaming logos the branding obviously is important to people as well.
I liked the OG PS3 look...

One of the saddest things I've ever seen is soccer moms hoarding Wii Us in their minivans last year.
These boxes miss all the logos and text all over them too. Even the Xbox One box will lose a bit of its lustre with Pegi logos and all that rubbish all over it.
