I'm normally not the type to bash what new pokemon look like but I can't see myself ever picking the fire starter. I normally don't care what things look like but I just don't like Fennekin or it's evo. Might change if the final form is cool looking or isn't fire/fighting.

My opinion was always Fennekin > Chespin > Froakie, but that has changed completely after seeing the evolutions. Now I'm Froakie > Fennekin > Chespin.

Atm I'm torn between Froakie and Chespin. I really like both of 'em.
I think that for my first playthrough I'm going to use just X/Y Pokemon. I'll probably add one of the Kanto starters in my team though, so I have one Mega Pokemon in my team. Rest will be new Pokemon.

I'm wanting Fennekin, but I really want Charmander on my team, so I'll probably pick Froakie instead for balance. Maybe I'll still pick Fennekin if her secondary typing is way different.
I'm going to try to keep my team fresh as well. Maybe if my team has a big gap(an electric type that can do more than t-bolt + t-wave is hard to find) I'll incorporate an older poke.

Fennekin went from good to bad in a hurry. I will grab a Kanto starter or maybe trade for a Johto one and go from there.

I always hated the stairs in BW/2 so if legit this is a nice little fix.

Froakie line has the potential to be the best water starters in the whole series.
Fennekin won't even be in the top three fire starters.
Not to mention that Frogadier's Japanese name is possibly a reference to a young Yakuza leader. I honestly don't know what more you Froakie/Frogadier naysayers want.
