I would place my money on Wayne's album but then again....lol how many beats we hear from that Kendrick album that was spotted to have a similar beat from someone else project that came out months or a year before. Just sayin..

It probably wasn't a 2012 album. It was probably 2011 and Alc got the job in 2012. Also Alc destroyed the GTA score, it's awesome.

edit - It's not fucking K dot. TDE and Alc are close, and Q's next single is an Alc produced song and being heavily pushed as so. Unless it's some attempt to make amends for some stolen beat on Kendrick's album (none of which sound like Alc beats) then its not K dot.

Only song on GKMC that was used from someone else was The Art of Peer Pressure who's listed for that beat.

Nothing on the album even sounds like an Alc beat

Peterboy's hatin ass wants it to be Kdot so bad

Also next music video from GKMC is going to be Money Trees. It isn't done yet, but apparently its going to be really good.

What's the ETA on a Kendrick song prod by Alex da Kidd feat Skylar Grey singing a dramatic hook with vocal distortion? Also, Kendrick get's his screamy flow on the whole song.

That's where the character progression seems to be headed. Insterscope wants it, and Ken so gassed on himself right now that it's the next logical phase.

Section80 for life bitches.

The day Yelawolf got signed to Interscope/Shady, I was all "nooooooo", and the majority of people were like "fuck yeah, eminems is gonna be his bro!" And we got Radioactive.

The day Kendrick/TDE got signed to Interscope/Aftermath, I was all like "nooooooo", and everyone was like "fuck yeah, Dr. Dre's gonna make all his beats!" And we got a sleepy album with no Dre beats and now Kendrick is trying to morph into K.Pac

Why not just hope for Danny Brown to get signed to MMG?

Just RSVP'd for the OLD release party. I have a ton of work due the next day but I guess I'll just be irresponsible and get fucked up with Danny Brown. Probably going by myself but whatever YOLO.

Kendrick almost had a song with Lady Gaga on the album, but that didn't happen for the better.

Now you think he'll make a song with Skylar Grey?

He clearly showed Interscope that he doesn't need that wack ass Alex Da Kidd w/Skylar bullshit to go plat, why would he now?

How can you like Section 80 then say GKMC was a sleepy album? I don't even

Man Canada don't get shit like that ever

Nah, was more than that song. I certainly remember in the OT people were pointing that out

Kamspy trolling again. When Kendrick was announced for aftermath everyone was devastated. People thought Kendricks album wouldn't come out, that the beats would be dusty.... no one was expecting something like GKMC to be the product

1. Kendrick almost had a song with Lady Gaga on the album, but that didn't happen for the better.

4. How can you like Section 80 then say GKMC was a sleepy album? I don't even

1. Very sure that was not K.Pac decision.

2. I know sarcasm can be hard to detect on message boards, but it was more of an example of the artistic direction he's going in. Melodramatic with pop appeal.

3. You're right, he used Drake and a Janet Jackson sample. Big difference I guess?

4. It was more of a nod to the style of music he made on Section80. It also wasn't billed as the new Dre project, and regardless, is far less sleepy than Good Kid.

MNIMN is my fucking shit needed that hard rap shit in my mainstream Hip-Hop. The only song that's lacking for me is Sweet Serenade and it's a very decent single.

1. Could've been Gaga's or TDE's decision, either way it worked out for the better.

2. After his verse on Control and just the upcoming snippet from his BET Cypher. Why would you think he's going to try get pop appeal?

3. Album still would've went plat without Drake. Janet Jackson > Skylar

4. The whole style of Section80 was more laid back (except The Spiteful Chant) than GKMC. Considering it was really jazz influenced.

I for one think Kam is off base 10000% and think Kendrick's new album will be aggressive. His recent features and demeanor have been, so...

I said GKMC was pointed out to have very similar beats(same samples mind you) that were created on other projects (obviously with different producers). Not sure how posting credits disapproves what I said...

Edit: Esch get an avatar please. It makes me heated

Oh thought you were talking about a beat that was taken.

IIRC, wasn't it a Rockie Fresh sample or something?

I cant hold all these Kanye AOTYs.

Seriously though I wouldn't be worried about him doing some weird shit again.
Unless WTT2 happens before his next album.
Then Def Jam might let him wild out again.
I expect something more straightforward though.

Already posted there and I enjoy gafhop impressions more than OT jerk fests

I created the OT :'(

Well anyways, I think it is a pretty decent album. I wish there weren't as many features though and I think Numbers on the Board and Nosetalgia are the strongest tracks on it

haha my bad. I actually think it's a solid 7.5-8/10 album. There's not a track I dislike. My only problem is that production carries it. Push ain't that interesting.

MNIMN is my fucking shit needed that hard rap shit in my mainstream Hip-Hop. The only song that's lacking for me is Sweet Serenade and it's a very decent single.
sweet serenade isn't as bad as everyone's making it out to be. The hook isn't even offensive. I wouldn't have even noticed it was brown if people in the ot weren't complaining about him lol

Nah, Duckworth is still better.

Nope nope nope. He's above ab soul now for me though because of the former dude's fuckery as of late. But I still think q is the best out of that camp. It's just my love for him is wavering a bit with all these oxy delays. And releasing boring shit like collard greens when you got something so fuego like man of the year on a shelf

Side b on old is fine. It's just that's where it drops a few points on the esch scale whereas with side a it was all gravy

His biggest mistake with side b was not enlisting a bunch of grime rappers on there. Fuck asap rocky and co drufizzer guy did so well on that dubstep beat. It was his lane. It's trendy edm beats which can get grating but at least get some rappers on there who can work with it

I like Old better than XXX.

XXX has the better high (30 vs. Dope Song), but when it comes to the lows, you just have Ab-Soul's verse really on Old and XXX has Outer Space, Fields (FIELDS FIELDS HOUSE smh), I Will, etc. I can see an argument being made for Ab-Soul's verse being that bad but overall I was able to listen through Old better without being double minded about any of the songs.

Feeling the production on Old a bit more too, it's just a bit more consistent, but they're different sounds entirely and thus it's down to preference there IMO.
