So for people who preffered AA to AC (like me), this is still worth it to pick up for the apparently superior story/presentation? If this is a more focused experience than AC, then I'm suddenly more hyped again. Might pick it up this weekend...

Was just about to ask this very question. I'm hoping AO is a nice compromise between the (for me) more gripping story of AA and the tighter mechanics of AC. Adam Sessler specifically refers to the story of AO as being worth the $60 pricetag on its own, if that helps?

I really like the game so far. I love meeting different characters for the first time. But I find the weather in the game to be a bit too foggy and snowy, it makes memorising my way around a bit harder than in City.

If I ever post something in Japanese which I don't understand, please BAN me.
It pisses me the fuck off that in every area you have to kill every single enemy to make progress, you can't just sneak by and open the door no no ...you must kill all goons than you can open the door ....so fucking stupid.

Whenever a game uses "middleware," I expect mediocrity. Just see how poor TLOU looks.

ugh. I'm literally on the fence about this already, but this might be a dealkiller for me. HATE this kind of mechanic

This. I want the option to let all be.

My UK Collectors Edition just this second came. I'd post pics but I don't have a camera, I'll see if I can borrow my sisters tomorrow.

Its pretty cool and bigger than I realised.

Wasn't it like this in the other games mostly?

So anyone else stuck at the WBID screen when starting up? It just stays at 'Busy...' . Been like this for about 10 minutes, 3rd try.

Oh wow. Deathstroke challenge pack in the box and blackmask challenge maps for pre-ordering. It warms my heart to see some extra DLC on the Wii U. Happy I purchased the game so far.

O god the WBID servers are down and now the game won't start beyond the main menu.

This is a colossal fuckup.

Just came in here to complain about this. Really jarring when I first turned the game on. Switch it back!

I'm enjoying the game thus far, but the button layout is killing me, and not just in fights either. Selecting and using a gadget in obtain collectibles, only to activate detective vision is getting real old. Also, is there anything in the game equivalent to a collectible map for extortion files, similar to the Riddler maps and Riddler informants in the previous games?

But Batman ain't about that shit. He isn't in the business of leaving criminals undisturbed.

So what's the longest combo you've done? I managed a 45 one, I was right in the moment with that one. Don't think I will get that again.

Need to do some training. :p

Anyone else got bugged in one of the Enigma's comm stations? The one near the GCPD.

Can't get into a vent, Batman just holds to the edge but doesn't climb.

PS. Steam version.

Combat in this game is amazing. I really think WB Montreal have improved on Rocksteady's formula. Stun is so much more useful now, and the enemies just don’t let up. So good.

Same, seems a lot of people have it.

Anyone know how to get the penguin arms cache on the ship? I can't find it.

Ranked 3rd worldwide in the first ranked challenge. No upgrades, just justice.

Gotta love a fresh leaderboard.

1st place - 158k
2nd - 75k
3rd/mine - 73k

Yeah I did, turns out a glitch removed the objective marker.

Anyway, you need to go to
lacey towers
if you haven't already, looking for the place itself took me a while since there was no marker on the map.

Thanks! I found it. What a brutal bug for an open world game. So far this game has had Bethesda levels of jank. The game itself is great but it obviously could have used more time in QA.

Met Mr. Electrocutioner the second time
wow, he really is blessed with suck. I was looking forward to fight this guy and then just got killed by Joker. Man :(

Deathstroke was difficult, but only because I missed the first tries, that you can't just clickspam counter and have to be precise in timing. But I really liked the fight, it was positively challgenging. Same for the Bane Bossfight.
Copperhead was easy and was over far too soon. And the fight with Killercroc was just a joke.

A lot of people seem to be raving about the story. Plus, someone in the review thread claimed the second half was more AA-like. Very tempted.

Heads up to people going after the control towers. The one in Burnley next to the GCPD building seems to be glitched. The vent inside that you need to go through to get out Batman get stuck on hanging on the edge of the vent. His hands clip through the edge a little (PC Version). Not sure if it can be fixed by messing with the DX11 geometry or something, but as of right now it seems like I can't get through.

Anyone else wanna test this out? Or maybe I am doing something completely wrong. lol.

Has anybody got the damn critical strikes yet
Yes, it is tied to the
Shiva
sidequest. You can start it with at the
Bowery in the subground level with a crying baby in a stroller, I believe the same spot where/around you first meet Loose Lips.
Not sure if you have to finish a story mission before, but that's how I found it.

All you need to finish that sidequest is the Remote Claw.

We should have a counter going for how many times this glitch has been posted in this thread. Ha!

I don't think she appears until after you complete the sequence in
Gotham bank
.

Later boss fights spoilers here.

Fucking
Bane
fight was really frustrating for me. I quite enjoyed the
Copperhead
one, but whenever
Bane entered the Venom mode, it was next to impossible to dodge his charges and none of the gadgets seemed to affect him. I basically had to wait for him to miss 3 times, do his shockwave attack, and then INSTANTLY start a triple stun to be able to land a beatdown. It's easier when the shock gloves are available, but that charge is just fucking stupid.
