Honestly the Xbox one version looks better, the textures are a lot more detailed. If you look at the middle portion of both images you can see the details on the ground through the dust on the Xbox side but not ps4.

lack of AO on the xbone version is a bigger deal than the res imo. Still, if the box wasn't $100 more expensive, these difference are somewhat negligible.

I think the people saying the X1 looks better have never seen a calibrated monitor.

The X1 footage looks like it has a weird sharpening filter and was captured wrong resulting in black crush. Assuming they captured uncompressed footage they should have adjusted the levels to match the PC/PS4 versions.

Funny how people are skipping over the fact someone who has played PS4 MP said it has crashed multiple times.

That does lead some credence to the rumor that PSN may have issues/be fucked on launch day, but what does that imply about the version that they wouldn't even let you play? My first thought would be how fucked is THAT version if they thought it was okay to let us play the one that was crashing?

Xbone looks "good" like over compressed music sounds "good". It looks abrasive and there's an obvious loss of details.

abrasive is a perfect word to describe to describe the Xbone pics. Really Harsh and uncomfortable looking.

No you got it wrong. Having slightly better textures doesn't make a game look better than the version with better framerate and resolution/less jaggies. It's not even close to being an acceptable trade off.

Not clearly. More like slightly overall but then at some points the X1 version did look better.

It's your eyes. MS (or EA, who knows) is crushing blacks and boosting sharpness. The PS4 seems to be rendering an image much closer to what you would get on the PC.

Xone textures looks a lot better than PS4 in the shots. PS4 IQ will be better on FullHD screens.

Both will look like shit compared to PC on native screen res. 720p or 900p, but still not 1080p; Dat supercharged PC architecture.

As someone whose not a hardcore graphics guy, these look basically the same to me. The PS4 one might be slightly better, but from the hype from certain people, I'm shocked the XBox One doesn't look like a 1970's episode of Superfriends from all the hype I was getting about how much more powerful the PS4 was supposed to be.

Both games look very good to my untrained eyes. And even my untrained eyes are more trained than 2/3 of the people looking to buy the game, so yeah, the casual base who will decide the console wars won't see a difference.

Looks pretty similar with some places looking better for the PS4. Obviously the better resolution will end up favoring the PS4 version all in all, so that's the version to get if you don't have a powerful PC.

PS4 is closer to PC, so the XBone is doing something to cover up its lack of resolution/performance.

Slam dunk for PS4 in my book. Better resolution & framerate, done.

Gonna have to agree. It's quite easy to see where the Xbone video is trying is compensate for its lower resolution. Not gonna stop Xbone fans with a bone to pick though.

You guys can change the brightness and contrast on your TVs at home if you want.

DF kept the game at default values for the test, but detail how the Xbox version is tuned for a higher contrast image.

Thats the "pop" and vibrancy you're seeing.

It isn't. DICE has obviously cranked up the sharpness and saturation on the Xbox One version.

There's black crush everywhere, which is basically your #1 hint that someone is messing with the gamma to saturate everything.

Thank you. The blacks most often completely obscure details that are otherwise showing in the PS4 version. Crushed black = loss of details.
