Ive had the same discussion with him and he continues with spreading misinformation. You can link him till your blue in the face and he wont stop. Multiplayer has no issues whats so ever in BLOPS2, its just the single player game.

It's the same discussion that I've had with Splinter Cell. (Disclaimer: I only own BO2 on PC)

I played the Wii U version of Black Ops 2 up to level 55. It was pretty good, but there were only like 1500-2000 players on at any given time.

PAULINK

I microwave steaks.
I would but the community for BO2 was kinda short. And this was not just me playing at launch, I played a few months later, and while there were still a few thousand people playing, not enough people playing other playlists. I can't play team deathmatch all day, no thanks.

If it's on eShop, I may consider it. I want to try out an FPS with the Pro Controller which I find to be the best stick placement for FPS out of any others.

Surprise they can't answer at what resolution this game is going to run on Wii U o_O (at least based on the link posted with a somewhat Q&A). Seems...strange they would withhold that information if is the same as last year. Now if is 1080p, that is one hell of a double-punch to Xbox one O_O

Infinity Ward isn't making the Wii U version. I doubt they'd know.

Yea it seems strange since Xbox One and PS4 are already confirmed 720p and 1080p respectively. Why can't they say what the Wii U version runs at? And why can't they confirm dedicated or p2p servers on Wii U? DLC I think depends on how much the game sells, so I'm not getting my hopes up on that one.

I will but not sure when, need to have SM3DW in all of its glory, the fit meter and another game which I am not sure yet (W101, Pikmin 3, LoZWW HD).

Black Ops 2 still provides fun MP on the Wii U.

NNID crmegabyte

I rarely play anything with true friends as it is impossible for me to lock a time to play. I am pretty bad but still have fun.

Somebody in marketing maybe would be "allowed" to reveal something like this at this time. This guy is apparently a dev that hops on the community forums from time to time. He may play by different rules than those who have confirmed internal resolutions for PS4/xbone.

I'll be getting it. Won't be getting a Next Gen Console anytime soon and I don't have a rig yet. Plus relatives have a Wii U and will be getting it so it only makes sense for me to get it for the Wii U.

I wasn't speaking about the information Infinity Ward gave out. But on the Q&A here someone posted:

http://community.callofduty.com/thread/200787850#.UnFvWvmsiSp

That is answer by Tryearch, the one working on the Wii U version. Here is where they talk about resolution.

Got a few questions,

1. What resolution is the game running at? And are the graphics current gen, inbetween, or close to next gen?
2. Is the look acceleration option from BO2 returning? The turning on MW3's CCP was a bit unpleasant and having the option to turn it off is fantastic
3. What do you like better, Coca Cola or Pepsi?
4. Does this game have footsteps?
5. Does the Wii U version run at 60 FPS or at least close to it?

Thanks.
1. Can't answer this one.
2. Look acceleration - yes
3. CocaCola when it's regular, Pepsi when it's Diet
4. Yes
5. Yes

If I get cod, it'll be for Wii U. I really am getting tired of FPS Games like COD and Battlefield. I plan on getting other multi-platform games for Wii U though.

Clearly, Treyarch didn't want to unleash a storm of internet fury by revealing that the Wii U version has higher resomolutions than the XBone version. Right? Right?

Anyway, Treyarch has always done right by Nintendo ports, and with more time with the system, I expect it should be much improved from the last go round.

I just hope for 720p60. Black Ops 2 looks a bit rough on the big TV, although it does look great on the gamepad. I notice this going from AC3 to CoD BOs2.

In this case Gamepad > TV.

Will so be getting this version and thank God for free Multiplayer :D

Looks down, yep.

Yeah, I only had a Wii during last gen (xbox died and wasn't going to buy another). So I did enjoy there ports on Wii. I don't really care about the resolution in games, not one to follow that. Just that so much is been put into the whole resolution between the PS4 and Xbone version that it was curious on the Wii U resolution and been unable to answer that part.

Will so be getting this version and thank God for free Multiplayer :D

Im getting it on the WiiU. I cant judge the graphical difference between a high end pc and a calculator so I dun care. Might pick it up on Ps4 later if enough friends do.

Perhaps they didn't want to add more fuel to the fire. There's a big enough shitstorm already with dragging Wii U owners into it.

Now that 720p has been confirmed for the Xbox One as well I can't wait to see how different it will be from the Wii U version.

Indeed. That reason is bullshit. CoD bundle won't happen because Ghosts on Wii U won't sell that much to begin with.

As far as I know, Activision doesn't have anything on the eShop. As long as they're avoiding it, there won't be any DLC. Especially since Nintendo doesn't seem to allow in app purchases. All purchases have to go through the eShop and I guess Activision doesn't want to do that.

I would seriously consider it for local multiplayer if it releases on the eShop. But since this is Activision, it won't.

So no, I'm not.

Not a single Wii thread since 2006 without misinformation, derailing and stupid first posts. Keep it up! I'm actually enjoying this.

I play these games for single player only, but local multiplayer with one person playing on the gamepad was pretty amazing when I tried it for the first time last year. I preordered it on Amazon UK a few days ago. Looking forward to playing this game with IR controls (and later M/K). Playing through Deus EX on Wii U shows nicely how terrible dual analog controls are when there's a fire fight. Utterly atrocious and horrible. Crane controls with a deadzone... even exploring and picking up things (small items, guns/ammo next to or under a corpse) can be annoying.

Yep, it's pretty terrible. It gets better with practice, but the fact remains that it's clunky and imprecise as all hell. This is why all dual analog shooters lay on the heavy aim assist.

Dual analog as a standard controller should've ended in the PS2 generation, considering the most popular genres of today all rely on a pointer.

It was a viable alternative to mouse/keyboard at that time, but it's a shame hardly anybody embraced a new, better alternative.

Also out of curiosity, why are so many people's decisions contingent upon whether there's an eshop version?

Yes.

- I have most fun playing online with a friend locally. The gamepad/TV is great for me
- I am starting to get into pointer controls as I never used them previously. Have even got a Wii Zapper recently to fully get into it.
- The pick up and play gameplay fits the Gamepad
- The more laid back audience is another benefit for me.

I'm actually looking forward to it.

Preordered my copy for the Wii-U about a month ago...

The crowd that is playing is much more bearable on the Wii-U....Less cocks and stuff in the calling cards....

Laziness and comfort. At least that's it for me. No disc swapping and most importantly no disc seeking/reading noise. I'll buy it anyway though.

I'll def be getting it. Enjoyed the MP on BLOPS2 but never finished the SP. My only gripe was the small amount of people online limiting the diversity of MP modes. Still had a great time though.

I'll be getting it, but probably not until after Christmas.

For my money the combination of pointer controls and off-TV play makes it the definitive version.

You could just quote my post from the previous page man.

What's the point writing the whole thing again?

Wasn't planning on posting the quote, just replying to someone thinking I was talking about the infinity ward. Just happen your quote wasn't in the page the comment to me was made and so I quote it (since I had the site open at the moment).

My bad.
